The other interesting thing is Jinyoung wrote this song in December, Warner music wanted to release it asap. Warner music not only help them release this song but also promoting it. I Saw how Warner music from other countries keep promoting encore on their social media, Warner music Hongkong even make a event collab with local cafe to promote encore. GOT7 might be that first group in doing that... The not only speaking about keep together but make it true with their action. Honesty i trust them. I think we wouldn't have to wait for 5 years maybe in one or two years. I don't know how it Will work but i know they are working hard to keep their promise.

Got7 is one of a few groups who actually you can see how close they’re. They have such a unique and strong bound, they’re brothers. Jay B constantly feel like reminding people they’re still together, they’re still a group. And btw they own the rights to the name, songs, fandom name, they left we all of that. The mv gives a you a heartwarming feeling, it’s not supposed to be such a big thing with all the money and stuff. They recorded it before Mark leaving wanting to give us a prove that they’re not leaving
in my opinion, what will keep GOT7 together at the end is gonna be their relationship with one another. They may all go on their own path, but since they have all shown initiative to keep GOT7's name and brand, they will somehow find a way to comeback at least once a year

BH, Sublime, AOMG, and Warner (Globally!) all promoted Encore. It was really cute and refreshing to see. Warner especially has very heavily promoted, and has been really engaging with ahgases. It feels like they want to prove to us they've got our boys and we don't need to worry.

They officially left jan 19 and this was recorded in january 18...jinyoung wrote this last dec. they left as a group, not just left but they left together, and they are i say are very ready to venture out as a group and by themselves. They're very well prepared. If GOT7 said they didn't dband, then they didn't. If you're an ahgase like me, you know what i mean. As what leadernim and the members always reassure us always, I fully trust them, they are very well known to keep their words, trustworthy indeed... and also how warner music groups, not just asia but other countries as well promotes them and encore, even warner hk have a got7 encore cafe collaboration with woman boss.
I think they’re committed to the group just need some time to process leaving JYP and want some time to go do personal projects/passions without having to work around their contract. And damn, think about Mark who hasn’t had quality family time in what, 7 years? Who wouldn’t want a little break. I think they’ll be back, and it will be damn good when they do. If they could churn this out this quickly with basically $0 budget imagine if they get some investors, backing, and have time to really produce and fine tune the songs. Best of luck to the guys.
Mark has been gone 10 years. He missed his sister’s wedding, his nieces’ births, his beloved grandmother’s funeral, his brother’s graduation, and every Thanksgivings and Christmas from the age of 17 till 27. Some of his rare trips to the US were even cancelled bc of JYP’s mismanagement or last time decisions. Lately, his father, who has always been very open about his mistrust towards the kpop industry, even clearly said that every bad words about JYP and their mismanagement/mistreatment of GOT7 were not untrue. This industry creates great things but is also a destroyer of personalities and free will. GOT7 is made of 7 strong willed mature artists who deserve more than playing puppets for a company who’s not even able to promote them properly. If Encore is the type of work we can expect from them in the future, it will anyway be a hundred times better than many stereotyped songs other kpop groups release nowadays. No need for a green screened MV that will look like all the others, costumes and make up, and over scripted variety shows. The magic of GOT7 lies in the mix of great voices and unique personalities.
tbh i think everyone felt a little unease when GOT7 left the company, i was the same. But I kept thinking "trust got7, they don't lie". and then ENCORE dropped and I knew they had truly meant what they said. GOT7 is different yall. Their bond says it all.
I don't really consider myself an active kpop fan. I listen to music every day, to all different genres that exist. And I go to concerts when I can, because I like to experience live music. But I don't really take part of the whole fandom aspect such as following their schedule on Twitter, watching their performances or knowing a lot about the idols when it comes to their tastes or the known facts. But despite that, I kind of felt like crying at the end of this song. Because you can just feel the friendship here. It's not the end of their friendship, of course, but it is indeed a new chapter for them, and the song made me feel nostalgic in a way. Hearing the fans singing "encore" at the end was a powerful emotion. I think that in a way, it shows the got7 members are strong. It must have been hard for them. I will enjoy my memories of the concert I attended, and will for sure attend a new one if GOT7 ever do it again. I guess I'm being sappy right now, but seeing the fans at the concert... How I wish I could have seen them one more time. Their voices during concerts are truly one of a kind. (I think I will forever remember hearing JB and Youngjae voices, it was so powerful and incredible)

Mark funded the mv with his recent established company Mark Tuan Studios and it was filmed in Jacksons private studio (you can see his billboard on the wall) and another fun fact the song was released exactly 1 month after officially leaving jyp and with the bts video of the making of the video they recorded the song that day they officially left the company.
Got7 never leaves! Ahgase always asked them if there will be an encore concert they always said no. And then they put out this song one month after leaving JYP. It was practically a love letter to all their fans. Ahgase will listen to the song with a smile on their face and tears of course.
I think they have a partnership with Warner Music Group as Got7, also Jackson has been a CEO of his own label for a while and has experience maneuvering contracts and I think they all had a discussion on how this will work, also Jackson said to Mark see you in a year so I believe we will see a comeback sooner than later. Got7 has always kept their promises to ahgases, so we believe them and will continue to support them until they reunite like the Avengers
I'm impressed that they not only retained the rights to their name but also to use the old footage. They obviously had really good representation in their negotiations for their departure. I hope they retained the rights to sing their old songs in concerts. I'm cautiously optimistic about their future as a fan. This song made me feel better than I did initially
The Fair Trade Commission updated law (which allowed them to keep their name rights) says that they can perfom their old songs in concerts but not re-record or remix them until 1 year later ^^
The thing with GOT7 and the reason why Ahgase is so loyal is that they always stick to their words. They don't make promises they won't fulfill, they don't sugarcoat stuff for us, they keep it straightforward and simple. If GOT7 makes a promise, we can be sure it's gonna happen and that's how you keep your fandom close and loyal, you just don't lie to them.

Encore is the time when GOT7 are unleashing their funny or affectionate self between themselves and with the fans, creating unique moments that were always different in each concert, and gifting the fans with beautiful memories. Encore is the time when they give every last bit of energy they have, then leave. But not without promising they will be back. And we believe them.

We are finding ways to keep the group and promote. Mark: I am still in GOT7.guys we are still together So at this point, we can trust them and support their endeavours. Encore is the proof that GOT7 knows what they’re doing and can find their own way. Jinyoung made the song in December, they recorded the song and filming the MV (using Jinyoung’s guide song) in 18 January, means they have been in contact with Warner Music before that, and within a month Encore released in all platforms with, compare to what jype usually did, big promotion at least in social media, they have youtube, instagram, spotify ads, etc. event they make a GOT7 Encore cafe in HongKong. Even all their respective label promoted Encore (Sublime, AOMG, BH Entertainment (Jinyoung’s acting agency), it also shows GOT7 IS part of the contract if they signed with them. A rushed indeed but the sentimental feeling really hits hard on this, and i couldnt be more proud of GOT7, i wish their solo endeavour best of luck and that all group activities will be as smooth as ice cream 💚. Chemistry between GOT7'S members is worth praising. They are more than just a bandmates, they consider each other as brothers and so there's no doubt that they will comeback as one in future.

As a fan, one of the first things I noticed about GOT7 was how close and real their bond was, so even though I knew a lot of groups that never said they disbanded but never released anything as group anymore, I never doubted GOT7 would be different. Still, seeing the photos they posted, the letter, it really felt like saying goodbye, like losing something and not being sure when I'd see them again together, and then they dropped Encore. I don't know if I'll ever be able to watch the MV without feeling like crying because all the feelings just come rushing in. I'm so excited for what they'll get to do for their individual careers from now on, I'm grateful that they put out something as soon as they got out and made sure to not leave the company without doing something to show us that they were in fact together and would remain so. GOT7 is truly one of a kind group, I couldn't be more sure about that

Recently Jaebeom talked about how discussions went about keeping GOT7 together and that he was frank with all the boys that if they weren’t all going to do it 100% that they’re not going to do it. He made sure all 7 members really wanted to stay together and promote together and that they were willing to fight for their future. They’re going to comeback, GOT7 are built different, they’re going to do it. They’re going to do full comebacks with full promotion. They’re going to be on music shows, they’re going to have a tour. It will happen.

It's GOT7, it doesn't matter if they have a comeback any time soon or not, the important thing is that they let us know that the 7 of them will always choose each other as a family. No one can doubt GOT7's genuine feelings of love and support for each other. JYP may have put together the group and made them debut, but it's GOT7 who formed the brotherly bond. I can see your skepticism about them promoting again as a group, but does it really matter? Promoting on music shows or performing at awards is the least of our concerns. And honestly speaking, the last thing Ahgase want is for GOT7 to perform at the MAMAs again; they have been disrespected so many times, each and every year. That is why we'd much rather have GOT7 do whatever makes them feel comfortable as a group and as artists rather than attend some year end award show that is all about popularity. I think it's best to be real and say that even if GOT7 don't have a comeback any time soon, as a fandom we know that they made a collective choice for what are their best interests, for their careers as individuals as well. Aaah the feels. What I love about this mv that it's not supposed to show off and impress how typical kpop mvs do. They're not wearing expensive outfits and makeup, they're just chilling and singing the song to their fans. Love how genuine and real these guys are. They're just unique. I really believe GOT7 has a group deal with Warner Music Group. That they will be responsible for the group's comeback. The way warner is promoting them is much more than ex company has ever done. And the way GOT7 left the company proved they have a strong team behind their backs, assisting them with the juridical part so they would leave with the name and rights. And I think this is probably Warner's team.

For the filming, Mark and his friends did the all the mv making and directing (he uploaded on the new GOT7 channel the behind of scenes - he even said it was low budget haha), they filmed and recorded in Jackson's studio, Jinyoung made the song in the last December and they uploaded about a month after the contract expiration. And yes it was super rushed because Mark was going back to America soon and Warner Music (the distributor) wanted to release asap. No one is doing like GOT7! I know it will be very difficult to do anything as a group for the upcoming years, but as Pd said, anything can be possible with GOT7. Until there, I'll be happy (and busy) to follow all individual schedule of 7 men (and they are having a lot!) and watch them being happy for doing things they were unable to do in the previous company
I think they will comeback this year maybe the end of the year. What their doing now still the same as before they take sometime like 6 month for individual 6 more month for the group. i honestly think got7 might comeback in 2022, its not gonna take longer than at the very least 2 years for them to come back. it might not be an album but maybe a single or a short EP.

another thing that stands out is that they left JYPe all together. They didn't leave anyone behind in that old company. They made a decision to leave as a whole group, pursue individual activities for the time being, and promise to come back as a group in the future. They reassured us time and time again that they would do so, the biggest reassurance being the release of ENCORE
The other interesting thing is Jinyoung wrote this song in December, Warner music wanted to release it asap. Warner music not only help them release this song but also promoting it. I Saw how Warner music from other countries keep promoting encore on their social media, Warner music Hongkong even make a event collab with local cafe to promote encore.
GOT7 might be that first group in doing that... The not only speaking about keep together but make it true with their action.

Got7 is one of a few groups who actually you can see how close they’re. They have such a unique and strong bound, they’re brothers. Jay B constantly feel like reminding people they’re still together, they’re still a group. And btw they own the rights to the name, songs, fandom name, they left we all of that. The mv gives a you a heartwarming feeling, it’s not supposed to be such a big thing with all the money and stuff. They recorded it before Mark leaving wanting to give us a prove that they’re not leaving
Thats why I became an ahgase cuz I felt how strong their bond is, it's like a family and you rarely see that in other kpop groups
in my opinion, what will keep GOT7 together at the end is gonna be their relationship with one another. They may all go on their own path, but since they have all shown initiative to keep GOT7's name and brand, they will somehow find a way to comeback at least once a year

BH, Sublime, AOMG, and Warner (Globally!) all promoted Encore. It was really cute and refreshing to see. Warner especially has very heavily promoted, and has been really engaging with ahgases. It feels like they want to prove to us they've got our boys and we don't need to worry.
It's got7 man...they don't just say stuff and then go away, they act, they make their promises come true! I truely believe in them with my whole heart...we're gonna see them so much sooner than 2 years I'm so sure about that!

They officially left jan 19 and this was recorded in january 18...jinyoung wrote this last dec. they left as a group, not just left but they left together, and they are i say are very ready to venture out as a group and by themselves. They're very well prepared. If GOT7 said they didn't dband, then they didn't. If you're an ahgase like me, you know what i mean. As what leadernim and the members always reassure us always, I fully trust them, they are very well known to keep their words, trustworthy indeed... and also how warner music groups, not just asia but other countries as well promotes them and encore, even warner hk have a got7 encore cafe collaboration with woman boss.

I think they’re committed to the group just need some time to process leaving JYP and want some time to go do personal projects/passions without having to work around their contract. And damn, think about Mark who hasn’t had quality family time in what, 7 years? Who wouldn’t want a little break. I think they’ll be back, and it will be damn good when they do. If they could churn this out this quickly with basically $0 budget imagine if they get some investors, backing, and have time to really produce and fine tune the songs. Best of luck to the guys.
Mark has been gone 10 years. He missed his sister’s wedding, his nieces’ births, his beloved grandmother’s funeral, his brother’s graduation, and every Thanksgivings and Christmas from the age of 17 till 27. Some of his rare trips to the US were even cancelled bc of JYP’s mismanagement or last time decisions.
Lately, his father, who has always been very open about his mistrust towards the kpop industry, even clearly said that every bad words about JYP and their mismanagement/mistreatment of GOT7 were not untrue.
This industry creates great things but is also a destroyer of personalities and free will.
GOT7 is made of 7 strong willed mature artists who deserve more than playing puppets for a company who’s not even able to promote them properly. If Encore is the type of work we can expect from them in the future, it will anyway be a hundred times better than many stereotyped songs other kpop groups release nowadays. No need for a green screened MV that will look like all the others, costumes and make up, and over scripted variety shows.

tbh i think everyone felt a little unease when GOT7 left the company, i was the same. But I kept thinking "trust got7, they don't lie". and then ENCORE dropped and I knew they had truly meant what they said. GOT7 is different yall. Their bond says it all.

I don't really consider myself an active kpop fan. I listen to music every day, to all different genres that exist. And I go to concerts when I can, because I like to experience live music. But I don't really take part of the whole fandom aspect such as following their schedule on Twitter, watching their performances or knowing a lot about the idols when it comes to their tastes or the known facts.
But despite that, I kind of felt like crying at the end of this song. Because you can just feel the friendship here. It's not the end of their friendship, of course, but it is indeed a new chapter for them, and the song made me feel nostalgic in a way. Hearing the fans singing "encore" at the end was a powerful emotion. I think that in a way, it shows the got7 members are strong. It must have been hard for them.
I will enjoy my memories of the concert I attended, and will for sure attend a new one if GOT7 ever do it again.
I guess I'm being sappy right now, but seeing the fans at the concert... How I wish I could have seen them one more time. Their voices during concerts are truly one of a kind. (I think I will forever remember hearing JB and Youngjae voices, it was so powerful and incredible)

The boys must have done some crazy thoughtful discussions to plan everything to make sure their negotiations are on their side. Mark funded the mv with his recent established company Mark Tuan Studios and it was filmed in Jacksons private studio (you can see his billboard on the wall) and another fun fact the song was released exactly 1 month after officially leaving jyp and with the bts video of the making of the video they recorded the song that day they officially left the company.
Got7 never leaves! Ahgase always asked them if there will be an encore concert they always said no. And then they put out this song one month after leaving JYP. It was practically a love letter to all their fans. Ahgase will listen to the song with a smile on their face and tears of course.
I think they have a partnership with Warner Music Group as Got7, also Jackson has been a CEO of his own label for a while and has experience maneuvering contracts and I think they all had a discussion on how this will work, also Jackson said to Mark see you in a year so I believe we will see a comeback sooner than later. Got7 has always kept their promises to ahgases, so we believe them and will continue to support them until they reunite like the Avengers

I'm impressed that they not only retained the rights to their name but also to use the old footage. They obviously had really good representation in their negotiations for their departure. I hope they retained the rights to sing their old songs in concerts. I'm cautiously optimistic about their future as a fan. This song made me feel better than I did initially
The Fair Trade Commission updated law (which allowed them to keep their name rights) says that they can perfom their old songs in concerts but not re-record or remix them until 1 year later ^^

What I like about Encore is that it feels like it belongs in a biopic. So if there's ever a documentary about the group, this song better be in it!
The thing with GOT7 and the reason why Ahgase is so loyal is that they always stick to their words. They don't make promises they won't fulfill, they don't sugarcoat stuff for us, they keep it straightforward and simple. If GOT7 makes a promise, we can be sure it's gonna happen and that's how you keep your fandom close and loyal, you just don't lie to them.

Encore is the time when GOT7 are unleashing their funny or affectionate self between themselves and with the fans, creating unique moments that were always different in each concert, and gifting the fans with beautiful memories.

Encore is the proof that GOT7 knows what they’re doing and can find their own way. Jinyoung made the song in December, they recorded the song and filming the MV (using Jinyoung’s guide song) in 18 January, means they have been in contact with Warner Music before that, and within a month Encore released in all platforms with, compare to what jype usually did, big promotion at least in social media, they have youtube, instagram, spotify ads, etc. event they make a GOT7 Encore cafe in HongKong. Even all their respective label promoted Encore (Sublime, AOMG, BH Entertainment (Jinyoung’s acting agency), it also shows GOT7 IS part of the contract if they signed with them. A rushed indeed but the sentimental feeling really hits hard on this, and i couldnt be more proud of GOT7, i wish their solo endeavour best of luck and that all group activities will be as smooth as ice cream 💚. As a fan, one of the first things I noticed about GOT7 was how close and real their bond was, so even though I knew a lot of groups that never said they disbanded but never released anything as group anymore, I never doubted GOT7 would be different. Still, seeing the photos they posted, the letter, it really felt like saying goodbye, like losing something and not being sure when I'd see them again together, and then they dropped Encore. I don't know if I'll ever be able to watch the MV without feeling like crying because all the feelings just come rushing in. I'm so excited for what they'll get to do for their individual careers from now on, I'm grateful that they put out something as soon as they got out and made sure to not leave the company without doing something to show us that they were in fact together and would remain so. GOT7 is truly one of a kind group, I couldn't be more sure about that

Recently Jaebeom talked about how discussions went about keeping GOT7 together and that he was frank with all the boys that if they weren’t all going to do it 100% that they’re not going to do it. He made sure all 7 members really wanted to stay together and promote together and that they were willing to fight for their future. They’re going to comeback, GOT7 are built different, they’re going to do it.
They’re going to do full comebacks with full promotion. They’re going to be on music shows, they’re going to have a tour. It will happen.

It's GOT7, it doesn't matter if they have a comeback any time soon or not, the important thing is that they let us know that the 7 of them will always choose each other as a family. No one can doubt GOT7's genuine feelings of love and support for each other. JYP may have put together the group and made them debut, but it's GOT7 who formed the brotherly bond.
I can see your skepticism about them promoting again as a group, but does it really matter? Promoting on music shows or performing at awards is the least of our concerns. And honestly speaking, the last thing Ahgase want is for GOT7 to perform at the MAMAs again; they have been disrespected so many times, each and every year. That is why we'd much rather have GOT7 do whatever makes them feel comfortable as a group and as artists rather than attend some year end award show that is all about popularity. I think it's best to be real and say that even if GOT7 don't have a comeback any time soon, as a fandom we know that they made a collective choice for what are their best interests, for their careers as individuals as well. JYP didn't treat them the way they deserved to be treated, as human beings and as artists. I'll take GOT7's freedom always rather than wish for them to be under that company. We know that they were willing to resign the contract only if it were 7 members or nothing, but the company didn't want all of the members and that is why they left.

Aaah the feels. What I love about this mv that it's not supposed to show off and impress how typical kpop mvs do. They're not wearing expensive outfits and makeup, they're just chilling and singing the song to their fans. Love how genuine and real these guys are. They're just unique. It's impossible to not love them. I'm so excited for their future releases.
the good thing is their labels are supportive of them still being GOT7. rn they're going to focus on their own solos. yugyeom did say that they believe their solos ultimately helps the group.
Jinyoung wrote and composed this song especially for the fans last December 2020. He did a great job! He's also the vocal director for Encore. I love how the rapper ATK sang here. Wow!

They are recorded in Jackson's studio, Encore directed by mamesjao who work with Team Wang (Director for Magnetic too), they can write & create choreo their own song. Jackson even can write script & directed MV. And the best part their Agency all recognised, promoted & support them as Got 7 too. So to comeback sooner next year could be possible. Thanks for your reaction to this! I appreciate that Got7 did this to assure us they are still Got7 and they will be back as Got7. I love that they recorded this in Jackson's own studio. I appreciate your total honesty on all this. Thank you for supporting and loving Got7! All the companies they are in are amazing. They are finally free and their companies are totally loving them and appreciating them and supporting them on all levels especially supporting them as Got7 too!
I really believe GOT7 has a group deal with Warner Music Group. That they will be responsible for the group's comeback. The way warner is promoting them is much more than ex company has ever done. And the way GOT7 left the company proved they have a strong team behind their backs, assisting them with the juridical part so they would leave with the name and rights. And I think this is probably Warner's team.

For the filming, Mark and his friends did the all the mv making and directing (he uploaded on the new GOT7 channel the behind of scenes - he even said it was low budget haha), they filmed and recorded in Jackson's studio, Jinyoung made the song in the last December and they uploaded about a month after the contract expiration. And yes it was super rushed because Mark was going back to America soon and Warner Music (the distributor) wanted to release asap. No one is doing like GOT7!
I know it will be very difficult to do anything as a group for the upcoming years, but as Pd said, anything can be possible with GOT7. Until there, I'll be happy (and busy) to follow all individual schedule of 7 men (and they are having a lot!) and watch them being happy for doing things they were unable to do in the previous company
I think they will comeback this year maybe the end of the year. What their doing now still the same as before they take sometime like 6 month for individual 6 more month for the group. Thats what they always doing. Its not confirm yet but i do think their under wmg. Wmk rushed the song to came out like as soon as possible. So they don't have enough time to plan a proper mv. Jinyoung even written the lyrics and composed it in december. He actually already filming his drama around that time too. Got7 always put group first as their priority even if they were busy they will always have time to prod songs for the group or make a comeback as a whole. They are a hard working group i would say. Its like they never know what tired is. Btw i think Jay B signed with wmk as individual.

I dont want to bring any type of drama idk. But for me the amerithaikong members add so much more to the korean member. To see things diff, to take their chances and for us to see something diff in a korea boy group. Im proud about how they manage their career. Hope my God give to every single one of them what they deserve

This MV was produced by Mark, but this song and video was all made possible by GOT7! They used their own personal money, had to book their own studio and everything to make this song and video for ahgases! I never was interested in kpop, until I met GOT7 - they are the only group that I stan because they are extremely humble and authentically themselves. i honestly think got7 might comeback in 2022, its not gonna take longer than at the very least 2 years for them to come back. it might not be an album but maybe a single or a short EP.
got7 members now own the rights to the intellectual property concerning the group. i believe got7 (as a group) also signed with warner music korea? (someone please let me know if this is wrong) their individual companies (at the time encore was released) also did their best to promote the song.
having said all that, that made me feel like it's very much possible for them to stay as a group despite being in different companies and doing their own thing. jinyoung wrote this song in december and they shot this m/v in jackson's studio a day before their contract with jyp officially ended. mark directed the whole mv too. they seem to have everything planned out well.
A tour is possible since they paid for the last one themselves already, I'm just so happy they sticked together after all, I've always trusted them, there is just something so different about the bound beteween them

Jinyoung wrote the song in december and they recorded in Jackson’s studio. Mark filmed the Behind the Scenes and Produced the music video. All of GOT7 really care about their fans and wanted to reassure us that this is not the end. They are 7 amazing individuals that haven’t gotten the chance to really have freedom with their music so this is their time now. This is the freedom that they will not squander. Each of them want to pursue things they didn’t previously get to so I appreciate and support their solo activities. All of it though like everything else they do is to better the group as a whole. I believe they are stronger together and with their combined power they are unstoppable. I am looking forward to what comes next! GOT7 FOREVER
