Never was elder used for a woman unless in 1 Timothy 5:2 when it was used to refer to older woman. Note when sending Titus a gentile, to ordain leaders in every town he also used the word elder (presbyteros) not shepherd.

1) who a bishop is, you lld clearly see you got it wrong and he wss right.
2) who an elder was known to be both in the old testament and then see how that same term was used in the new testament, you lld see the both mean the same thing or they are one and the same.
3) who a shepherd is, how the word came to be, it's connection with the Israelite and why it's mostly used to denote an elder or pastor which clearly is what the pastor has explained while teaching.
4) how the word bishop came to be as touching the early church which the pastor again already clearly explained.
He even went ahead to say It's a TRANSLITERATION for the word shepherd or elder if you already understand who and elder truly is and what they do that Paul decided to adopt for the gentiles because they would easily have understood same as the Israelites.
Let's all just humble ourselves and learn when someone who clearly God has helped is trying to teach us what we claim to know that we don't know because, we are only doing ourselves not him.

A Bishop is an office and not a calling. It's is not a gift. The five fold are gifts. It means someone can be An Apostle and be a Bishop. A prophet can be a Bishop. A Bishop is an elder one who oversees many congregations or churches.
My dear.. don't be forced to believe what they want you to believe just to get members. Every organisation has a stricture and choose the title they want. Even common chess will tell you something. In police you have dsp, sp, until IG. these are just for designation. In His Church he is a pastor but not at same level with other pastors he employed. I see envy somehow. This is referring to Christ not to Peter, or any Apostle.
Christ is the Saviour, Arch Bishop, Pastor, Teacher, Pastor,... Of our souls not just one man. I can see how he quickly mixed up the two.
Note!!! These offices are meant for administrative purposes. They was nothing like that until the crises in Acts 6:3-4 when they was administrative issues regarding neglect of some members. The church had to work on administrations.
Also note: Ministerial gifts should not be confused with Administrative positions.
Whether a Presbyteros (Elder) or an Episcopal (Bishop) or even a diakonos (Deacon, waiter, servant, administrator) all needs the Ministerial gifts of the Holy Spirit backing their trainings/skills (if any) in dispensing their duty.
Note: the work for perfecting of the saints, of ministry and edifying of the body of Christ can be administered as an Apostle, Prophet, Teacher, Pastor, Evangelist... Everyone must pray and wait on God for the necessary gifts for his administrative office.
