One of the best player interviews I've seen. He speaks so well and seems like a really genuine bloke. Can't wait to see him back on the pitch in a number 32 shirt.
@@dixon4206 that's very true. But could be next season if/when he establishes himself - future captain material for sure if he shows that much love on the pitch as he did in that interview
Steve B he’s got no chance of being captain! 😂 I mean he’s left us and had the chance to join us like 2 years ago, but picked Everton! I mean Prowse knows everyone, is WAY better and will be saints captain until he retires/leaves!
@@elijahkhaira also very true! But in all honesty, if you got the opportunity to play for the club you love OR triple your wages, what would you do? Considering a footballer's career is at best 10 years - I'd probably want to support my family as best I could. Never know.. he may take a pay cut and join us full time next year. If he does that, then I think he fully deserves to at least compete for the right to wear that armband. Agree on JWP though, he's the role model, been here and is the poster boy of the club and loyalty 100%. You never know what
When i first saw the news earlier this morning it really put a smile on my face. Keeping roots, tradition and ties with history always brings joy and sense of belonging, which human being craves the most. By the smile on his face, that is exactly what Theo feels. Very happy for him and the club! He still needs to make up for more than few of goals that he scored against Saints playing for both Arsenal and Everton, though... Just kidding, all the best Saints Child 😇 😊
You and Cesc are the reason I start to love arsenal and now I hope U can bring your form back @southamptom...U will always have a place in my heart whereever you play....
Wasn't to keen for him to come back at first, he had the chance to 2 years ago but went to Everton for money. But seeing him here, he seems to have a genuine love for the club, and I for one can't wait to see what he can do for us.
Most players that saints bring on loan recently sign a permanent deal with the club like Danny Ings and Walker Peters so maybe Theo will become a full on Southampton player.
I'd like to think so but you really reckon we could afford his wages as a full player? Yes it would be on a free but I cant see the board paying 100k a week for a player in their 30s regardless of sentiment.
I remember when Sven took Theo to world Cup wow that's 14 years ago he's a nice guy hope his return is good some link up play with Danny ings and genuine good footie it would be nice to see saints have some success from D Forest fan
Welcome back Theo, Remember watching you as a 16 year old, One of the few players that would have the crowd standing up whenever you had the ball at your feet. Was disappointed when you left for Arsenal, But at that age who can argue about being tempted for the money, I always thought you left a few years too soon. But welcome home, I hope you can stay injury free and bring back some exciting times for us Saints fans. Good to see you back Theo Red Army Red Army .......
Nice interview, obviously loves the club not here just to sit and take the money, will give it his all and hopefully stay free from injuries. Good luck and welcome home .
i remember when he was young southampton tended to play him more in the centre, i always thought Arsenal typecast him to much as a winger ! i hope we provide him with a flexable role
Not very often we get an academy player back, we’re getting some serious fire power now Ings, Adams and now Walcott firing on all cylinders look out.......🤞
One of those players that once the pace goes doesn't have a lot to offer. Also if he cant cut it at Everton and Ancelotti doesn't rate him seems a waste of money.
1:56 “Southamptons always been with me, even when I was at Arsenal and Everton” then why leaves us in the first place, or at the very least pick Everton over us two years ago!!!
Mario Lemina can play in every top team of top league in Europe and in England but Ralph can not think about it. Josh Sims and Jake Hesketh better than Theo Walcott and Nathan Redmond but Ralph can not think about it. Harrison Reed and Kayne Ramsey can play Right Back better than Yan Valery and Kyle Walker Peters but Ralph can not think about it. William Smallbone has weak skills but Ralf can not think about it. ... -_-
Can't help but agree. I love Theo but this is poor business from us. One knock and he will be out for the rest of the season, his crossing ability is still lacking (considering the length of time he was at Arsenal it never reach the level it should be) and he has lost a few yards of pace. He's still quick but nothing we couldn't get from an upcoming youngster. Poor from Saints.

Thought exactly the same thing.
Could feel the love for the club - JWP will have to compete to keep that captains armband.
Really hope he does well
Steve B surely can’t have a loan player as a captain

His 14 year loan period is finally over
Ah yes
Finally
Sounds like a prison sentence

Great to see you back Theo 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
When she mentioned his name still up on the wall in the canteen it looked like he was tearing up, great to see passion

Same
No matter what he sounds like a very grateful person perhaps he can replicate half of what Danny Ings has done.
Wasn't to keen for him to come back at first, he had the chance to 2 years ago but went to Everton for money. But seeing him here, he seems to have a genuine love for the club, and I for one can't wait to see what he can do for us.
Something about Theo in a Southampton shirt again just feels and looks right
Welcome Back Theo ❤️🥺
Wishing him well at Southampton this year; always grateful for his goals and assists at Arsenal. Injury free wishes Theo 🤝
this one sat well ahaha
Welcome back Theo. Would play him off Ingsy

But he has to perform
I agree mostly but don’t forget
Filip Djuric
Kevin Danso
Maarten Steklenburg
Didn’t sign any of those after the loans had ended
He's on his last year of his Everton deal so it'd be a free!
@@halloumi8193 I mean Martin Steklenburg was a stand in goalkeeper for Forster whilst he was injured.

Unbelievable signing! Nice to see Walcott so happy he's back! Would love to see him up top with Ings!!
this feels right! welcome back Theo:)

Welcome Home ❤️
Theo always speaks intelligently. Hope he buys into the RH philosophy - sure he will but injuries might be out his/teams hands ?
Great to see you back home theo Walcott
Welcome back my dearest player❤️❤️❤️
Welcome home!!!
Nice interview, obviously loves the club not here just to sit and take the money, will give it his all and hopefully stay free from injuries. Good luck and welcome home .
I hope he does amazing for us, would be great with the wingers and strike force we’re amazing just a lil improvements in other areas we will be okay
Love it that he's back home. Come on Theo and COYR.
Looking forward to seeing his passion and excitement for playing for Saints again.
Really excited about this. Still has really good pace. Great interview.
Welcome back Theo!
Welcome back theo, all the best mate
Always welcome a previous saint back, great signing hopefully we can get a bit out of him COYR 👊👊👊
Apart from Van Dyke - he can FO.
@@furkinhellman what about Lallana?
Wouldn't take Lovren back, his head will already be somewhere else
Walkot Theo ❤️❤️❤️❤️Arsenal love
Return of the king 🤩🤩
All hail Yoshida um that’s Ings, a decent player actually
Wow welcome home x

hes back home
“Southampton came on the table”
I think he's gonna surprise a lot of people
Welcome Home, Theo you shouldn't have left in the First Place. Now you realise where your Heart is its in Southampton FC Football Club .
If Ralph Hasenhuttl can do for Theo Walcott what he has done for Danny Ings, then he is going to do very well for us!
Welcome home!
Gosh he so good looking and fit too mmm
what a beautiful fucking man
Testament to Theo's character that he is welcome back. Some ex saints would not be! COYS

welcome back Theo. You've probably got a couple of years left, bust a gut then you can put your feet up.
Welcome 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️🔴
Must be No. 32 Shirt 👔

Welcome to Sot'on
Theo was an excellent footballer and showed world class form, the British media and supporters ruined his form
Theo come back to st Mary's, you still have 2/3years in you
the Craig David of football ;)
How to ask the same questions in as many different ways as possible😂😂😂
Get in 🔴⚪️
How many times can you ask a variation on the same question.... Great to see Theo back but couldn’t watch all of this.....

Sick note!
1:56 “Southamptons always been with me, even when I was at Arsenal and Everton” then why leaves us in the first place, or at the very least pick Everton over us two years ago!!!
Elijah Khaira we had to sell him as the club was in so much debt
whitton yeah ok, but it doesn’t excuse the fact that he picked Everton over us like two years ago, when we weren’t in debt
5million per season for his regulation 12 games
I'm sure Ralph has done/will do his homework. Theo needs to submit himself 100% Ralph's philosophy. Seems smart but he has no real footballing brain.
Sorry you failed...

What an awful take lol
What a waste of time should of left him there and got someone else in younger

Yeah can’t understand why we didn’t loftus cheek now he’s at Fulham we need a creative midfielder that’s what we are lacking
