As someone from Makati who have been doing groceries at Landmark for the past 12 years, yes that is really the place to go in terms of prices. If everything goes to normal again and you want to avoid the bulk of people just go there early in the morning and avoid days like the 15th and the 30th day of every month because those are the times filipinos get their salaries which explains the influx of people. 😊
If anyone reads my comment I just want to say, to bloggers like NELLY N MIKE documenting their day to day activities in the Philippines keeps most ex Pats n OFW connected to the country. I have not been to the PI in decade and prior to that have not been in the country in 2 decades. The videos not only keeps people like me connected but also updated. To both I really appreciate the exceptional work you both do.
We usually do our groceries at Landmark too!! they have great selection and good prices. Rustans is on a higher price point, SM is on a lower price point (but quality is also a bit lower). They also have great bargains from time to time. :) I also love their department store too, lots of stuff on good price and you won't see in other stores :)
Kasubha is local saffron that we usually use in goto/lugaw/arroz caldo. For paella, we still usually use the imported expensive saffron. We usually make our own spiced vinegar at home but if you want to, the best ones we have discovered and are a staple in our pantry is the 'Pinakurat', 'Tuka' and some sinamak for when we have chicken inasal.
I've seen a light blue super car in the road going to this place on your left, I guess it's a McLaren or Ferrari. Yes, Landmark is a great place to shop in terms of quality and pric, they build new branches in most places in Metro Manila and neighboring cities.🏎🏎🏎👌👌👌👌
Same as we do, we list down what we are going to buy but then we also pick things not included on the list😂😂 over spending always happen when you go out.🙄
Safflower (kasubha) is a substitute for saffron... a cheaper version 😁😁. Best put in arroz caldo... my mom always use that since it is readily available and cheap.
In BGC, the cheapest supermarket is Metro at Market!Market! Then SM Aura, followed by Robinson's and finally Rustan's. For bulk purchases, the cheapest is S & R but you need a yearly membership. This video shows Mike and Nelly at Landmark Supermarket at the Makati Business Center. Other nearby supermarkets are Rustan and SM Makati.
Landmark is my favorite grocery. I feel that they've mastered the art of shelving a lot of choices for different things. And affordable at that. And it's more than half a year since I last went to a Landmark grocery, happy for you two 🤗 peanut is getting cuter by the minute 😍
The kasuba/safflower is the local version of saffron which is what we use for paella and its not fake. What you said about overspending when in Landmark is something I can relate to as I always end up buying more than I need.
I never get tired watching you guys. You are genuine. Greetings from San Diego, California. It will be good to meet you next time I will be in the Philippines.
Thank you for always making video to make it happen of the views and beautiful sceneries there in Manila. ALL THE way here from Canada @Making it happen Vlog
Thank you for this video. To experience Filipino food shopping, I suggest you go to one of the wet markets in the morning. You can buy fresh products frm meats, fish to vegetables at a cheaper price. Farmer's market in Cubao maybe.
we do grocery shopping either at Landmark or Waltermart. it’s a lot cheaper in Waltermart but more items are available over at Landmark and SM supermarket
Hi guys! New subscriber here😊 i enjoyed your vlogs than other foreign vloggers in manila. I actually binge watch it lol. I hope you guys can add "new tagalog word" on every end of your vlog. No other vloggers does it. ( i think) love you guys stay safe!😊

Perhaps they will go to S&R ( you have to be a member) if they need something thats not in other supermarkets or groceries. But i'm sure there is like in rustan's and others. Support local.
I grew up going to Landmark every weekend. No matter how crowded it has become, it still gives me nostalgia. I miss those quiet breakfasts and meryenda with my Mom and sisters at Via Mare.
When you need vinegar that is complete taste mike n nelly try named pinakurat thats what were using for all fried fish bbq anything taste good on that filipino sawsawan or dip hope you will like it.ingat👌❤️
You can go earlier around 8-9am to avoid the crowds. Also check out their department store also good prices and selections. I always go there. Hope to see you there some time hehe
Enjoy doing your grocery Nelly and Mike! Indeed, Landmark is a lot cheaper than other supermarkets. Awww, Peanut is a big cat now. Time flies so fast. Love cats, they are very adorable and cute creatures. Take care guys. Love lots, Riley 🤗
Landmark Supermarket probably has the most complete line of groceries and the cheapest as I am a regular buyer of the store before the pandemic and the lockdown. And I want to thank you for vlogging on this store for me to see what's the condition in the store today.
Oh! I miss Landmark. We usually do our grocery shopping there too. They really have a large selection of varieties and stuffs and a lot more cheaper too than SM and other grocery stores.
My favorite food court and supermarket in Makati. I usually went there during my board exam review in Ayala Museum library (2013), 1-2 days stay-ins in Holiday Inn hotel Makati (2014-2016) either for summer or Christmas eve.
I live in Manila near the border of Makati and we still go to Landmark for grocery shopping. Hope I can bump into you guys one of these days! Take care! ❤️
in marketmarket inside metro go to lower ground floor you will find metro supermarket its a big supermarket as well.. do your grocery with lucy and george
wow you guys were kinda near my area..... well landmark grocery is i guess the most organized and there are tons of choices to choose from... rustan is really expensive...

Nice to shop there at Landmark. We were there last January 2020 and wifey enjoyed grocery shopping there. also enjoyed the foodcourt. Will never get hungry. Watching from San Diego Ca.
George and Nelly i would be please and happy if you also make a travel vlog of your country! 😄 I miss Austria so much especially on winter time 🙏 stay safe guys
Hi Mike and Nelly, I thought you'll never notice the price difference of Rustan's Supermarket to others. It's one, if not the only Supermarket that's so costly and so are their Department Stores. That's the reason why it's not so crowded. Some people flock to Rustan's if they have no other options in avoiding traffic congestion or maybe it's very near to their place. SM Supermarkets have a very reasonable prices that's why it's always crowded especially during Paydays, 15th and End of the Month, better avoid those dates.

Nope. SM is not on a lower price point; it's the opposite. They are considerably higher than Landmark.
@@maximodakila2873 Agree. For example 1L of milk in Landmark is just 70+ and in SM it is 80+ for the same brand
Landmark is a good choice of supermarket in terms of price and variety. You should also try snr or landers .. philippine version of costco 😉
Let’s just support our own and just go to Landmark! No to snr and landers
@@monkeymind9304 is landers not filipino owned? its owned by the yu family of 8990 holdings owner of deca homes.

Filipino saffron Nelly. Not the one in grown in the Middle East, the real deal. Still have the same coloring effect even more intense.
The best spiced filipino vinegar is "pinakurat" or "el presidente" because they are coconut vinegar

Guys, Rustan is pronounced “roo-stahn” and the vinegar you picked is my favorite as well and although not spicy enough, it’s still quite good.
