Great videos, Congratulations from Los Ángeles, California...! Moving to France Soooooon...!
Thank you so much for doing this channel! It’s exactly what I need. I was in the south of France last year, I am in NYC right now and was wondering how I could get back there permanently. I have a BA from here in the US (from awhile ago) from a liberal arts college, but I don’t want to remain here longer to do the 1 year masters you mention. Is there a way or places I can do that in France? You two are a charming couple, both making videos on things that interest me, and you are both very natural so it’s nice to watch / listen.
Aw thanks! Glad you like it! It's definitely possible to do a Masters here in France, in fact after only 2 years here in France you could even apply for French citizenship! And Masters programs here are a lot cheaper than the US I think.
Or you could apply for the TAPIF program, less pay and only 8 months but you only need a bachelor's for that and a B1 level of French.
@@movetofranceandteachenglish Thank you for your reply. I didn’t mean a masters in general on any subject but in terms of teaching English, I am not sure if that’s what your reply is referring to as well

Bonjour!
I want to be a volunteer English teacher in France.
I am a retired English high school teacher, college professor, and university supervisor for student teachers. My wife Cindy and I plan on moving to France with the Long Stay Visa. We were in Ukraine last year helping a new school open in Lviv; I was Deputy Head Master. Slava Ukraine!
We want to contribute in some way during our stay in France. What schools would you recommend?
Merci!
Dean & Cindy
Does France prefer native speakers?
Not officially, although you should definitely be fluent or C1-C2 level English if you're not native.
I am 63. Very healthy. Am I too old to consider this ?
You're definitely not too old to consider it! The most important things are to have completed 1 year of a masters, and to know some French. If you don't have a Masters you can still do the TAPIF but you'll be placed in a middle or high school, it's only 8 months, and your pay is much lower.
@@savvyfreelancer4553 Ah yes you're right, I forgot that max age for TAPIF is 35 since I never did it. Lecteur and Maitre aren't age-restricted though!
