We desire more guns like THIS and less of the perfectly made military weapons. Give me more Rust weapons. Give me a break-action single round rifle as a tier 1 or 2 bootleg bolty.
So it has controllable recoil, can equip the compressor attachment, and with laser, optic, and muzzle it does 25 dmg base with a more stable then semi recoil pattern allowing more conistent on target hits. Toss in incindiaries and this stupid little SMG can kill a character with 3 headshots, if they are max armored its 5 with incindiaries. This is a big deal depending on what the craft costs. If this requires only pipes and springs this thing will be a baby AK at the start of a wipe and a little worse MP5. It will depend on the weapons cost, if this weapon costs SMG bodies then this thing is dead on arival and instantly on life support for most people! Edit: Remember to watch videos to the end folks, yeah that shit is cheap af and is awesome while not being over-bearing. I think that will be a good eco gun for many people
You got the idea of accuracy wrong, the higher the worse, the value of accuracy represents how far away the bullet can stray from where you're shooting, making tier 1 smg worse.
Both smg's in rust are supposed to be cheap and simple, yet both are (according their animation) hammer fired or similar since they are shown as firing from a closed bolt.
Can't wait any ideas when it's gonna be added? More reason to tech T1 now and for a solo, slap a silencer on that gives so much more opportunity for ratting and camping lol.

20 damage it should be at least 25 , also look at the errors lmao .. they focus so much on cosmetics that your game crashes if the texture of a cosmetic is not loaded and you show up to one

T1 smg defeats the purpose of the nail gun doesn't it? I thought thats was what the nailguns purpose was for t1. To substitute as an smg like weapon like the revolver pistol to the semi auto pistol and the waterpipe/double barrel to the pump shottie

Crafting cost and damage/balance would be fine if they also required an smg body to craft. All those smg bodies you get but cant use will be put to use
It looks like it will be pretty competitive. Sure the damages is higher on the T2 smg but if you cant hit the shots, the high damage means nothing. Give me a low damage gun thats accurate over a high damage inaccurate gun any day.
If they make the accuracy like 25-30% worse, increase damage slightly, and lower the firerate a tad I think it's fairly balanced for what it is as a t1?
@@Protoxic It's gotta strike a balance of being just inefficient enough to get you to want to replace it as soon as possible with something better without being either utterly useless / outperforming higher tier weapons either through raw stats or just cost to use-fullness ratio. Just a bit more worried it'll outclass everything else in t1, not so much t2/3 outside of a few exceptions. I have faith facepunch is gonna balance the hell out if this weapon on staging over the coming weeks so I'm not too worried.
New T1 SMG does 20 damage with a fire rate of 429. Semi Pistol does 40 damage with a fire rate of 400. SAP is Tier 2 because it's literally twice as strong.

This T1 SMG is not going to keep up with mid to late game combat but it will probably sweep up all the waterpipe/bow gremlins sniffing around your base.

Im guessing they removed pipes from craft cost because they assumes people would spend most of their pipes early game on double barrels. but a riot helmet prim kit with smg and double barrel in the first 2 slots would be a brutal ratting kit. a very cheap total gearset that can ambush and kill 2-3 full geared guys at close range in monuments.
I feel like they tried too hard to force a gun into a place it doesn't belong. All of the negatives to keep it in tow are going to either make it not worth using or be useless in restraining an SMG from being OP in tier 1. They should of just made a tek-9 or similar large magazine pistol.
Coming November 7th wipe. Renamed to Handmade SMG & now has 18 default ammo and 23 with extended mag. A significant nerf to capacity.

This is great because it's some kind of SMG but it doesn't need an SMG body. So when you're down bad but still want to play SMG, this is the way to go

They need to make magazines have 15 bullets and make it start malfunctioning after condition is less than half.
They made it 18 bullets from 24, and the gun is super weak

Seems to have good accuracy, but very low damage and bad damage fall out at range. I guess we will see how it plays out, should be out on the 7th

This thing is very low damage and at bottom of T1 workbench, i think most people will skip to T2 before they use this.
