Hi guys, I am back after a break with a recent hiking trip where Amy & I tackled the beautiful Crypt Lake Hike in Waterton Lakes National Park. The hike is between 18-20km and about 1000 metres of elevation gain and was voted one of the best day hikes in the world by National Geographic. From walking in between two big mountain, along the side of a cliff, climbing through a tunnel, to beautiful green trees and the eventual halfway point of Crypt Lake.
To get to the starting point of the hike, you have to take a boat from Waterton townsite across to Crypt Landing, where the trail starts

Great video. I have had this one on my list for a while now. Hopefully next year.😁
Definitely one to tick off the list!
Nxt year. waterton is insane i love it. Just did a few days there and hiked to bertha for my 40th. We also saw castle falls and fernie....a few hikes there. Kiwi canadian here. Are you from Aussie?
@@sheenahorn9205 yep waterton is amazing! Worked here for 2 summers and always find myself going back!
And yes Aussie!
Nice video. And a very good weight lifting workout! Not sure why you lugged that massive camera and super-lens on this trip. A decent cell phone camera would do the trick.
Did you walk back the way you came? Or is there a continuous trail back?
Same way back!
Looks like home!
You guys in Canada long term or just visiting?
Amy’s moved back to Canada to start schooling, I’m back in aus working on permanent residency and will hopefully be moved over this time next time, will be settling down in Calgary hopefully, will be nice being so close to the mountains!
