About 20 different towers will be built in the next 5 years. This skyline will change so much. By the round building is going up 4 different 20 story/250 feet towers. They just broken ground on the first tower. Behind the big red building, a 21-to-40 story tower + bus station will be built in the next 2 years. By the courthouse next to the park will be 4 different 20 story towers called the Nexus project. There's also going to be a 32-story tower next to the Wells Fargo building. And a 30-to-40 story tower at the very northern edge of Downtown. Those are just some of the projects, there's many more.
Crabtree is getting another opportunity for a skyscraper not as tall as the previous proposal but the new building will be more connected to Crabtree mall and have better usage. Crabtree is trying to compete with North Hills aka Raleigh Midtown which will revival current day downtown Raleigh. The only real issue with The Triangle Region especially Raleigh-Cary region is that the conservatives constantly reject mass transit! Duke University, and the hardcore suburbanites stupid hard right conservatives decision to reject the light-rail will hurt the region's growth. Yes you still have a overwhelmingly majority of dumb asses that want the city to keep its Mayberry charm that it lost in the late 90s. The region is so spread out it will see Atlanta type traffic problems because of the dumb N.I.M.B.Y.s
5 years later and we are still waiting on those tower signed a concerned Nashvillian lol nah just poking fun. City data sent me here. Currently live in Raleigh and they should grow their skyline.
i lived in raleigh when i was a kid.....sherwood bates was my school in 70 and 71.... long time ago......and never went back again...maybe some day... im from HONDURAS.

i’ve always liked it here, sometimes it’s wired though, it’s too big to be a “small town” but it’s to little to be a “big city”. it might just be because i don’t live that close to down town, just about everything else is straight suburbs the whole way. it’s still a cool place lots of Museums historical parks and houses, i don’t think it’s gonna get smaller so i can’t wait for it to get bigger
Raleigh is very educated, and friendly. The cost of living is inexpensive. Unfortunately, as a Californian, I could never quite get used to it. I left, and went back to CA. Still miss the friendly people of NC, though. :)
@@patrickwigington IDK if I would blame the cost of living there solely on transplants. Your economy and tech sector, are quite strong, thus driving up demand, and prices. I lived in San Francisco my whole life, so aside from NYC, most things seem less expensive to me. You're welcome, though. ;)
@@ufosrus I mostly missed the weather, and scenery of CA. I actually don't mind dry heat too much, but the summers in Raleigh were quite oppressive. Not bad if you want to just hang out in a pool, but if you want to do anything truly outdoorsy (hiking, walking, going on a picnic) it's uncomfortable. Lots of ticks, too. I liked the mountainous areas of NC, but the flat landscape of Raleigh left me cold. No Sierra, Yosemite, Lassen, etc. The lakes were also brown, which made me not want to swim in them. :\ Food options, and things to do, were also more limited than what I grew up with in CA. Good points (for me) are that Raleigh is progressive, relatively inexpensive compared to what I was used to, has incredibly beautiful housing stock (Southern architecture is really nice), is educated, classy (you see more of a "gangbanger" culture in CA, which I don't care for), and so friendly. I returned to NorCal, to the Sierra Foothills. I would consider NC again, but it would have to be in Asheville. I need some interesting topography. :P
I live here and all their is and was was nothing but bars, restaurants and maybe a few museums! But I will say they have great Greenway to explore with your loved one.
Hello. Help me please. I read an article about the “Little Prince” banana plant, It has been written that the plant variety is patented by Randolph Salter from Raleigh, NC. I can not find him on the Internet.
Hi, may use +- 40 seconds of your video for put in my chanel ? I'm from Brazil and I wold like to put the credits for you. Tank you so mutch for your attention.
While I love the Wolfpack, I would have rather seen more aerial footage of downtown instead of adding Carter-Finley and PNC Arena. Show is drone footage of the Warehouse District, Glenwood South, even Cameron Village and NC State/Hillsborough St. These areas are more related to the very central core of the city.
@@redboy09100 Hi! I'm from Alabama and have lived in NC for about all of 3 weeks but so far, I love it here! Alabama is relatively cheap, say in Morgan County, but in cities in AL (esp. like Huntsville) products are more expensive than anywhere I've visited in NC so far and food choices are restricted to Burger King or McDonald's, with multiple per street where I lived. "Mom and Pop" joints are Mexican food, and that's mostly it outside of the chain space where I lived. I enjoy having choices of where to eat here in NC. Specifically zoned in on food here, but this is my perspective coming from AL to NC (so far). Rent and housing is definitely cheaper in Alabama though so I hope I don't come across as if I'm disagreeing with any of your views, it sounds like you might know plenty about or be from AL and/or NC too and I definitely value your insight! Thanks, cheers!
joeg816 my drone was not flown near any restricted areas, more than 5 NM from the nearest airport, writhing VLOS, and below 400 feet. This was all legal plus I have my part 107.
Raleigh is such an incredible city that should get more attention. What an awesome city.
Please don't give us any more attention, I can barely pay the insane rent prices as is...

I love raleigh with modest skyline green area

Raleigh has grown so much since the 1990s. Are you going to do one of these for Durham?
Love our beautiful city
Such a cute small town, there might be 20 buildings over 5 stories.
Everyone: wow..raleigh the capital of north Carolina!

Well, if NYC is your benchmark you can say that about any other city.

Nice footage but I thought they were pretty strict about flying drones over most areas. Is this legal or you took your chances?
