Thanks for your share! I’ve also spun 6 braids of nube, and have the same feeling as your: Colors are muted because the dye hasn’t reached the core of the roving…anyway, my yarns are beautiful, like yours, even if I was not able to catch the brightness of the top layer into my finished product ❤ it taught me a lot about dying and colour management 👍
I have not. I’m figuring that I’m the one with the problem- not Malabrigo. We all have our preferences-and often expectations. Although I admit to being disappointed, I really simply learned to look at yarns and fiber more closely, rather than judging the fiber by its cover! As a dyer, I’m curious about how Malabrigo achieves those blended, unsaturated interior colors while the exterior is so rich. I’ll have to look at their yarns to see if the dye there is also on the surface, like the glazing that is so often seen in the lovely Madeleine Tosh yarns as well. Things to think about. I do think that the fibers here are purposefully dyed to be what they are - not a mistake, but I’ll be snooping at every lys! :)
from Gerry= The blend is so pretty. Your spinning is very consistent. God bless.
Thank you Gerry! I keep trying. He does! May God bless you and yours! :)

Right! And learning is a good thing - sometimes expensive - but good. :)
Curious if you have reached out to Malabrigo and if all the Nube is like that...
