I am so happy to see you safe Oriel! I support the Jewish charities here in America and also the messianic Jewish congregations too stay strong Oriel because I believe Israel is stronger than Iran. In Japan we also have North Korea shooting missiles over us and it's very scary too. We plan to come to Israel for Christmas this year but we have to wait and see what the situation is.

War definitely alters the brain. When I was in Texas living there for over a year a few years ago it really made a difference because I wasn’t near any terror or war like I was used to. It was a very strange thing. Although Iran did send 83 tons of explosives towards Israel, they act through hamas and hezbollah So we feel their hand reach far

Thanks for sharing your experience of the big Iran attack from where you live. Oddly, we also had no sirens in our city of Petach Tikva although we could hear the fighter jets and distant booms. Jerusalem got it worse than the Center this time. I WAS scared because Iran is a country with many sophisticated weapons and a real army. It's the big daddy of Hezbollah and Hamas so there was no way to know what would come. When we heard that they were firing big ballistic missiles at us, it was scary. I saw a very funny Facebook reel of the difference in reaction to the situation between Israelis and Jews elsewhere in the world. Yep, Israelis are pretty cool under attack in general (not sure that's a healthy thing). What was weird about this attack is that there was time to think before the arrivals since the ballistic missiles take about 15 minutes to arrive and the suicide drones take hours, so you just sit there knowing it's coming but not what it will be like. It's very different from attacks from Gaza or Lebanon in that way. Baruch Hashem that we had as little damage as we did, and prayers for healing for the little girl who was critically injured. A question: Where was the respect for the Temple Mount??? They really targeted Jerusalem and many people there don't have safe rooms in their homes. I was worried for my friends and relatives there.

It was interesting listening to you all speaking Hebrew in the bomb shelter - I just imagined your family's first language would be English. I thought people would be scared, but my friend said her 99 year=old father (lives in Jerusalem) just made jokes about the missiles, saying he didn't realize flights from Iran to Israel had restarted. Hey David! Yes, it is hard to believe that 99% of them were intercepted, but then again we are country that knows war and we are happy that our allies came to our aid. For part of the siblings, our first language was English, but we only speak people in the house. Some people were scared about the missiles, but a lot of people just sort of take it as well as they can because if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry, we are used to war.
