Nathan I work in a machine shop and the most common problem we have is bits of steel or aluminum getting into the intake of the oiler. We fixed this problem by putting a woman's stocking over the intake to filter out all the tiny specks of debris that will accumulate at the bottom. I hope this machine has a replaceable filter of some kind. It will make it last 10 times longer and do a better job.
By golly! That is just about as cool as a fly on ice! It will be good to see how your blades slice through the logs. It will be extra nice is your new setting tool can be installed to run along with the sharpener in a single pass. This make hitting bullets and nails a bit less costly.
Thanks for taking your time and explaining exactly how this machine works, far as I know there’s really not any other UA-cam channel that goes into detail like you did, I knew you was getting the sharpener and I have been waiting to see it, thanks again, PS I just bought the BMST50 sharpener and setter combo, it’s not an automatic one is the manual one, I don’t have that many customers yet, but I think it will be OK like you said shipping them out and waiting for them to come back gets pretty old, I will be going to Indiana on Thursday to pick mine up
Nathan, I got one about 18 months ago also. Really not much help setting it up, just had to figure it out myself. I like looking at how you get your blades position under the stone. What I do when setting depth of cut is use a red paint pen and cover sharpening area and start out light first trip and get more aggressive till all paint of blade is gone. But always willing to see more suggestions. xlogger
Not as long as a new fresh blade but its sharp coming out after a few sharpening set has to be redone you get three four sharpening that's 80 bucks for four. Blades alotofmoney
Another great video Nathan! Really enjoy your passion for good wood. If I every get to your neck of the woods, like to meet you and buy a slab from you.
Wow, what a fantastic machine! I can see that is going to earn its crust!! Think you are going to enjoy using this new addition to your toolbox Nathan. All the best buddy. Graham 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Can you tell me the thickness of the CBN wheel at the mounting area. WM tol;d me it was one inch thick but i question that. please take a look and let me know,-mike
Nicely done. Just bought an LT50. Got an old sharpener from a friend but am familiarizing myself with options to get something like this. Now that you have had it for a while what are your thoughts? Would have you done something different having hindsight?
You,re not doing it right. You are supposed to take a few thousands off the back of the tooth so when you sharpen in the gullet it makes the tip perfectly sharp.
I have sharpened with the Belsaw Sharpall 1055 for 30+ years and this is how they teach to sharpen. It is kind of hard to learn to do by hand but if you shape the grinding wheel just right grinding the back of the tooth will almost just kind of flow. Remember, just a couple of thousands unless you have really damaged your blade.
That's a sweet machine. The price wasn't bad either. Good for you. I need to tell my friend about this machine. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. Appreciate you watching 👍
looks like a sweet setup you did a great job explaining the adjustments
thank you, appreciate that
I am way behind, Nathan but I will catch up, someday. Thank you for sharing. Life starts to slow down now that the weather is turning.
I understand 👍👍

True. Looking forward to the first cut. Thanks for watching
That's really gonna streamline your production, not having to GET the blades sharpened any more. Great buy, Nathan!👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Nice machine, cool to see how that stuff works.

Very cool Nathan, it will be interesting to compare "lifespans" between a new blade and one that has been sharpened
👍

Beautiful.
Great video
Wow thats a pretty cool machine. Does it also fix the tooth offset? Thanks.
Does not. That tool is next
Awesome 👍👍👍
thanks Gaston, appreciate you watching,
How are you going to handle setting the teeth? Love the content!!! Thanks for sharing!!
That’s another tool. Getting it soon.
Congratulations ... It's a beautiful machine. Typically, how many times can a blade be sharpened?
That will he determined 👍

Yep! Any follow-ups?
Thanks Nathan...
Man I bet that sharpener wasn’t cheap...I never new how they worked .thanks for the explanation...
No problem. Thanks for watching 👍

What are you using to set the teeth?
Very nice! Doubt blades will stay dull long at your place....
😁
Nice. Looks expensive though. How many blades do you have to sharpen before it's paid for itself?
I think about 6 months to a year and I should be in the good. If I start sharpening for others then much faster.
Wow, that's pretty good. Plus the convenience of not having to send them off. Keep up the good work!
Yep paying the shipping back and forth got old 👎
Anit that a whoopin!!!
👍
Does it put set in the blade too?
Nope another tool does that.
That's cool when ya want me to being ya my blades😜
👍👍
Thumbs Up!!!
I wished u would use dykem then u can see if u r missing any part of the blade because I think Woodmizer is having an issue with the blades
I bet that cost over $100!!!!
haha :-)
great investment!!
Magnet goes on the inside though :-)
what made you finally decide to buy the sharpener? too much money to always sharpen blades, convenience, or something else?
All the above 👍
No before and after shots of the blade... that's just cruel... ☺
