Alternate paths: Episode 1: You can also use the frying pan to block the snake. The other drum can also be used as a trampoline to jump over the river. The hammock also be used to block the lion’s cave. Episode 2: Area 1: Distract the snake with the flute and have shaggy push the statue over. Using another coconut is optional. Area 2: There’s another grappling hook you can use, but when you get one, you can’t get the other. Episode 4: Area 1: Cover the scorpions with the sleeping bag. That way, you can get pass them without taking damage.
In case you’re wondering why Claudius T. Culpepper didn’t say “I would’ve gotten away with it if weren’t for you meddling kids,” it’s because technically, he *did* get away with it. He was just trying to keep people from revealing that El Habanero De Mucho Gusto was just a myth he made up himself. Such a revelation would put him out of business.
Either way, it’s a nice change of pace for the typical “Scooby-Doo” formula. Although in the ghost pirate game, when the ghost pirate was revealed to be Caroline the diver, she did say the classic line “And I would’ve gotten away with it if it weren’t for you, meddling kids and that stupid mutt.” And Scooby did holler “SCOOBY-DOOBY-DOO!!!!!” at the end. But still, these online games were my childhood favorites back in the early to mid 2000s.
One think I at least like about both Scooby-Doo: Horror of the High Seas and Scooby-Doo: Mayan Mayhem, is that both Scooby and Shaggy solved least two mysteries by themselves without being too cowardly to do so as anti-heroes and that their other friends Fred, Daphne, and Velma weren't there to force them to join in solving the mysteries.
Tips and alternate paths: Episode 1: Area 1: Give the monkey the bananas, then he will go away and you can go on, grab the frying pan to permanently stun the snake or use the drum to cover her head. You can use the stick to block the lion's cave or the hammock. Get to the fire and use the stick to make the torch to scare away the crocodile. Area 2: While you are waving along the river, avoid the swirling water, crocodiles and trees, and piranhas. Try not to get too close to the shaking bushes, these hide Mayan Mayhem inside it and he can jumpscare you if you get too close. Episode 2: Use the thing on the rock to tie the snake's tail, then use Scooby to climb on the tree and use Shaggy to launch the snake away. Using another coconut is mandatory because Mayan Mayhem is gonna come back. Episode 3: Area 1: Also avoid the shaking bushes, these hide Mayan Mayhem inside it, and don't touch it. When the bush is not shaking, it's safe to touch it.
Moral of the Story: Don't deny Shaggy of his food. Few leave uncaught or, at worst, surviving not even a fraction of his powers that have yet to be seen.
Time out, where did this full prologue come from? When I played this game, this setup was not present, which did have me wondering where this particular case started. Also, yeah I was especially confused by how Mr. Culpepper wasn’t committing a crime here, yet he still had to pay for this lie he concocted about that pepper.
Man I remembered always wonder why that rope in the final stage was impossible to get and it took me like 100 tries to thought the game was glitching 22:40
You can play this game on an application called Flashpoint where it archives all kinds of flash games including this one. The link is in the description.
I coincidentally found information about the prologue when researching about lost media and some posts managed to find it, so I downloaded the prologue into to present my gameplay.
I played this game as a kid, but never got past the stair climb.
Lesson: never piss off Shaggy
*Shaggy:* 22:19
Beware the fury of a good man.

At least he said sorry.
@@zachmeyers5733 True.
I guess it was still a bad idea for him to scare people away with the Mayan Mayhem, and I’m sure being a fraud is wrong.
