  • Spending two days before Christmas in Malmö can be a delightful experience, as the city is known for its festive atmosphere and charming holiday decorations.
Malmo is the third largest city in Sweden. It is located in the southernmost administrative region of Sweden - Skåne and is the administrative center of the region. B 19 km from the Danish capital of Copenhagen, which stands on the opposite bank of the Øresund. Malmö and Copenhagen are connected by the longest bridge in Europe - the Øresund Bridge. It is also the largest city in the province of Skåne and the cultural and historical region of Scania.
Here's a recommended route to make the most of your time.
Day 1: Explore the festive town. Morning.
Stroll along Malmö's promenade and see the area around Torso Tower.
Malmö's promenade is a scenic path that runs along the shoreline of the Øresund Strait, offering breathtaking views of the sea, while the cool breeze and gentle sound of the waves create a serene atmosphere.
Torso Tower is a skyscraper in Malmo. The building was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and officially opened on August 27, 2005. The height of the 54-story building is 190 meters.
Visit Malmöhus Castle: Head to Malmöhus Castle, a medieval fortress turned into a museum. Explore exhibitions including art and history.
Visit Mölleplatsen park with a mill.
Stroll through Lilla Torg, the city's historic square. Explore the cobbled streets lined with charming cafes and shops. Enjoy coffee at one of the local establishments.
    Evening:
Christmas shopping in Södergatan. Spend the rest of the day strolling along Södergatan, Malmö's main shopping street. Explore the boutiques and shops on Södra Tullgatan Street.
Cross the Davidshalls Bridge (Skorna på Davidshallsbron), where you will see 19 bronze pairs of shoes by famous Swedish artists (Bengtsson).
Next, walk along the pedestrian street Sodra Forstadsgatan, with many shops and cafes.
Day 2: Christmas markets and relaxation.
Visit Malmö's Christmas markets. Explore the festive Christmas markets that may be held throughout the city. Look for local crafts, seasonal treats and unique gifts.
    Here are some of them:
    - Möllevångstorget A colorful fruit and vegetable market is held at Möllevångstorget every day. The surrounding houses have small shops selling a variety of goods from all over the world.
    - Fiskehoddorna (fish market)
    - A Christmas market with a wonderful atmosphere is held at Gustav Adolf Torge Square.
End your two days in Malmö with fond memories of the city's festive spirit, delicious cuisine and festive charm.
