- This is Trout Fishing Heaven!! Summer fishing a creek that is loaded with trout!! We try a variety of live bait and lures to catch whatever bites! Which will catch bigger fish? Which will catch more fish? One thing about creek fishing is that you never know what could possibly be swimming around! I actually can't believe I caught what I did.. I did not expect for this to happen..

What’s your favorite fish you’ve caught this summer so far??
Nothing crazy, but I landed my first fish on a baitcaster! Small pickerel in early April.
Haven’t been out yet this summer but caught my first pike, walleye, and longnose gar at the beginning of June
Not a species I target but caught a really decent +2lb European Chub on UL gear and was a blast!!

Hey man just want to be honest, I've been watching your videos for about 3 years now and I just wanted to say thank you. You really helped me as a total newbie realize that's it's okay to not catch fish every time but more importantly you have helped me learn how to be a pretty good fisherman. Honestly, you're best baits for stocked trout video fishing totally changed my game. I knew about those baits but you taught me where to throw them and how to work them. Thank you so much for helping me along my fishing journey. Tight lines, brother! Also, I love the fly videos because I'm still learning (aka not very good) too!
Creek fishing in the summertime is a lot of fun because all the fish species are biting and you can literally catch anything! My favorite type of fishing however is Topwater hands down - seeing the strike is pure adrenaline and you typically catch bigger fish on Topwater! 👊 🐸 🐟 🎣
Favorite type? Largemouth bass fishing in undiscovered places for lunkers!

Oregon coast jetty fishing with chunks of sandshrimp on a high low rig is my favorite.
Catches pregnant sunfish, apologizes to it, throws it back instead of gently releasing it. lol. Nice catches today.
I think you should try out Cali, Oregon, Idaho area eventually. Oregon rivers have some massive salmon and steelhead.
Cali isn’t hot anymore the opener for the sierras is blown was just up there it’s super slow I caught a lot but it was super slow

Same, love chasing big cats at night headlamp and all 😆. Some spots depending on location/elevation can still get trout in the warmer months too which is super fun.

Fly fishing for trout in a creek! Nothing beats it!
If you plan on using fly, fish the fast flowing rapids fish a hairs ear fly with a bead head just like the little lure you were casting! Look up euro nymphing for example!

I grew up creek fishing. When I do get back home in the summer I hit the creeks.
What he meant by "crushing your barbs, means" bend your barbs down on the hook so it's easier to release a fish and if you gut hook a trout you can easily release it" so ya either buy canadian hooks or bend your barbs
In Pennsylvania we call those golden fish pumpkin seeds 😋

Does the rainbow trout reproduce natural in the US?
Depends where at but yeah. Some hatcheries alter them sometimes so they cant reproduce and mix with native trout populations though. Also in the northwest the trout that find the ocean become steelhead and make their way back.
