It's Elliott's theory, though that you can't travel to the future. But that's not what they've said the whole time they've said. The pond takes you where you need to go. So Jacob is needed and 2024 probably for his mother.

I’ve heard some Siri theories that Colton didn’t die and has been time traveling from a few places. However, they buried him. It’s not like Jacob where they didn’t have a body. They actually had Colton‘s body. So I think he really did die. He had to have been time traveling before his death.

Great recap! There are still questions unanswered like why "Coyle" is on Colton's guitar, who really painted Kat's portrait, what role did the Augistines really play in the onset of the town's beginning, is Victor a time traveler, is Del and/or Sam a time traveler and what the heck happened to Finn and that Vet that Kat was kissing in season 1?

Don't try to explain temporal paradoxes! Some parts seemed like a (too convenient) way to wrap up S2 storylines, and others were setups for S3 so I wonder if different parts were written before and after S3 got picked up?
There was a suspicious cut to Sam when Casey came to cancel the farm sale contract, so there might be something with Sam in S3. And my Casey's ring theory is that Alice went to the past, and the ring somehow ended up with the Goodwins and ultimately got passed to Casey.

I think Casey is Alice's daughter and a time traveler and I we haven't seen her father yet.. ANd Sam is just too convenient ...rich, handsome, and always at the right spot at the right time???? Another time traveler? Kat HAS to end up with Thomas...I think the pond will freeze and she has to stay in 1814...... or the pond is filled in if the land is sold, but Dell doesn't sell..Hmmm.

I think it’s the 1960s when we see Colton with his grandma. He was born in 57 so maybe late 60s. I just remember Kat saying a part of the witch lore started in the 60s during Rita’s ghost tour and I feel like that was a hint at the time period we will see this upcoming season.

I think Colton is from the future and because he’s a Landry can go all the way back to when everything started. Also, maybe in the future Elliot and Kat get married have a baby and it’s Casey and she time travels to 2024 because of the book that gets published

There were two filmshoots on two different days out by the fire the night of the fireworks. Both times there was a sound that could be heard in the bushes. The second time, when we see Colton and he turns around with a big smile it makes me wonder if he was there by himself the first time and he's smiling the second time because Alice and Elliot are there and there is a storyline we've yet to see that he knows about.

if you remeber Elliot's first rule of the pond in season 1 he said to said to Alice "the amount of time you stay in the past equals the amount of time your away in the present. technically Jacob didn't travel to the future. He traveled to the past his return trip to the present just took 24 years, unlike the hour{s} that Kat and Alice do.

I just finished this and have so much to say and actually ask you. The reveal at the was mind blowing, but there is the question "where is this Colton from?" and I think there lies the question. I think Colton's death and Jacob disappearing are fixed points in time (the term Dr. Who uses), so no matter happens he dies. If it wasn't Kat it'd have been a deer for instance, and we know Jacob had to go for the pond's purpose. I have read all sorts of weird theories though. One today was that Victor had helped Colton hide, which makes no sense since he had no love for the Landrys. Now as for Colton being from the past....I'm really not sure. He has to be around to have met Del and have Kat and Jacob so I don't know where that sits. I do agree on Del as well. The same story is replayed, she meets a man Byron in S1 and Sam here and it's kind of a big old nothing. Now here's the question I have, it seemed like the end was being wrapped up almost as if they had a contingency if they weren't renewed, the farm is saved, Kat and Del make final amends, etc. and since they got renewed they could add Jacob and Colton, do you think it was like that as well?

When we interviewed the showrunners (which you should totally watch) they said they had a plan but then when I asked them about Thomas they said it depends on how the public respond (which was well) so I think it's a combination of the 2- a plan but also seeing what the audience responds well too

I don't think Thomas can stay in Port Haven in 1814 because in Cyrus Goodwin eyes he killed Thomas, so Thomas has to leave port Haven he can't live in the Light house for ever. Also how do we know that when Colton was at the pond as a child with his Grandma that that time was 1814, could have been 1950's.

I went back and checked out the scene you're talking about he's standing next to a woman that raised her hand to be the next ball thrower, and it does look like him. He looks the same as the present day Sam, even if he was there back in 1999 he should have looked younger so I understand why you think he's a time traveler. Good eye by the way.

"My Katherine" was Susanna's heroine, best friend, and sister. She had never met anyone quite like her. She was inspired by Katherine's fearless courage, adventurous spirit, love, loyalty to her family, and fierce commitment to achieving her ultimate goal, which was bringing Jacob home to the 21st century. Susanna was curious about the future and the freedom women had gained over two hundred years.

Thanks for the recap. I will have to disagree on one thing in the episode. I don't know why Alice was mad at Elliot for thinking he was trying to erase her. Elliot couldn't have erased Alice because Kat was already pregnant with her. If Kat went to Paris with Elliot she would have just found out later and not at the hospital. Also, I agree where Elliot time traveled with Alice, I think they went to that time again because they've said multiple times in the series that the pawn takes you where you need to go. The pond knew that Elliot need to say goodbye to Colton so he was sent there. Also, with the coins that Kat brought from the past, the pond knew that those coins would help save the land. Maybe Katherine can bring things from the past into the future but can't bring things into the future into the past because they don't exist yet.
