Ha.. drummer rolls the stick after every hit in his left hand. Can't unsee it now!
but only when he makes a single hit....if his left hand is busier, he doesn't appear to roll the stick.
I think it s his own technique to keep the rythmn
It prevents too much wear on one side of the stick
Oh god
Damn you!
You guys, "Pomped Up Kicks" was RIGHT THERE.
HAHAHAHA
great, now I cant unhear it.
1:49
In it's right place!
Ohhhh I see what you did there
I'm a 71 year old. I heard this 2 weeks ago for the first time and nearly fell out of my chair while dancing to it. I dance to it the way Popeye dances after taking his spinach. It's so tight and moody- dare I say much better than the originals. I listen to it twice a day instead of taking my medication.
Papier is dutch for paper!
I wonder if I'll ever live that long
Alan please take your medication
Alan this is important you can't not take your medication
Alan you cant just dance instead of taking medication its not healthy
I love the contrast of the backrow and how cool they are and they can feel the music with their eyes closed and the front row just jamming
Not to read too much into it, but I feel like that represents the song *perfectly.* The mood the music creates is fairly intentionally split from the lyrics. It's been a while since I've looked up interpretations of the lyrics, but I think it has to do with representing the disconnect between the bullied powerless child (represented by the sombre theme of the lyrics) and his imagined grandeur as the merciless school shooter (represented by the up-beat, confident dance music, which is essentially him imagining himself in a scenario where he gets to feel powerful and in control for one short-lived final time in his life) being the same person.
The UA-cam algorithm did something right. You guys are awesome
Well nothing new, youtube algorithms are just telling you that you are awesome. :)
Hopefully the right-wing extremists don't creep back into the recommends...
EXACTLY MY THOUGHT!
Four months later and it's so true
Eh, i'm not a fan of this cover. Her style of singing comes off very monotone and lacks emotion that the original had.
I Don't hate it, but definitely heard other covers that did this song way more justice.
2:20 my dude doing surgery on the keys.. so clean
That's Jack
that rodes deserve it..

That guy created Patreon
@@love2fight205 he really did! Well what do you know
That side chaining in the bridge section was so good.
The bassist always looks so devious
I love how into it the pianist gets.
That's Jack Conte, he is the CEO of Patreon, and is married to Nataly which is the blond girl in the middle.
yup his expressions put a smile on my face... Wow they’re SO DAMNED TALENTED!!!!!
Jack reminds me of Brett Gelman
@@chrisfeeney5814 come in, bald eagle
Jack Conte has a formidable stank face, to be sure.
Radiohead's song "Everything In It's Right Place" mixed with "Pumped Up Kicks". This is so unique... but so good. I love this. Thank you for creating such a match up. Never would've expected such two bands to mix so well :)
yes, I was trying to remember what that rhythm was and it is the "right place", that rhythm is pretty ear-catching.
thanks
It’s horrible
Looks like pyramid song of Radiohead as well
Dat bassist tho, Quentin Tarantino groovin' the hardest.
Can we please talk about this sidechained cymbal at 1:01, I just love when the chorus gets so bright suddenly...
LOVE how that whole front row is SO ENTHUSIASTIC!
Those backing vocals are just PERFECT! Amazing!
I was just going to leave the same comment. . .
I can't
stop looking at the keyboardist's expressions, he's great, he seems to love what he does!
"I'm not here. This isn't happening..." Yet I am here, and this is happening, and we are wonderful and delighted, the happening and I.
Drummer looking cool AF.
Yeah Sarab is the coolest. As soon as you see that pink scarf, you know he's got it figured out.
please give me some info on that unique looking drum set up...I've clearly been out of the loop!
What's the name of the instrument he's playing? I want one.
@@4xdblack it's a Roland SPD sx, with a Roland pedal
That could be me one day west Asian and a drummer.
She’s slowly becoming one of my fave singers... that nonchalant attitude really gives her an individual sound. Nice!
Wow that drummer was verrrrrry good. His kick placement was perfect for that groove
He had some real pumped up kick.
Yo this dude playing the piano just made my day. You can see in his eyes he loves what he does. :]
hes always like that, the man clearly loves making music. that, and hes the founder and CEO of Pateron, and married to the Nataly Dawn, the blonde lead singer.
I'd be happy too.
This IS a VERY sophisticated, complicated + dynamic/unexpected Mash-up, w/ such amazing-strange, mood/musical changes ~ I like this A lot!
It's nice that you took the drummer out of his cage.
Love that ‘everything in its right place’ Radiohead organ groove.
Just a shout out to the bassist! I always watch you, man. You are so enthusiastic and wonderful to watch. Your playing makes me happy!
I have listend to this vid over 100 times and it gets better everytime. Good stuff.
The shared look between Jack, Sarab, and Nick @ 0:58 is priceless. Like they know they're about to tell us all a big secret.
And they were right! Amazing track everyone, thank you!
stank face
When the bassist grins at the drummer you know its about to get good xD
Great cover :D
0:56
Yeah shit is about to get real
Who is the Drummer?
guy on keyboards killing it with the enthusiasm. love it.
DEAR LORD, my eyes went out of focus when that first drop hit.
My did too, and as I came out of it, your comment was the first thing I saw when I snapped back to reality.
Haiku's peaking!
And look at the bass player a second before the drop. He is like "Awww yis, we about to kick some serious ass"
I am a truck driver , just know I work nights and blast your music as loud as the stereo will go all around the u.k , the people need to hear these jams but this one .... wow .xx much love to the band.
0:56 love the base player's knowing smile just before the drop.
Random thought in my head, "Hey remember that pomplamoose youtube channel you liked a few years back, I wonder what ever happened to them?"
Am not dissapointed :D
Very impressive "soft voice" by all the singers. They sound fantastic together!
And those guys are really making love to their instruments, keep up the beautiful work all of you!
yup
They truly are making love to those instruments.
.. Eugh.
The chorus blend of Nataly, Loren, and Sarah on this still slides down like hot butter two years later.
I had no idea The Guy Playing Piano aka The Happiest Person Ive Ever Seen aka My Spirit Animal is the friggin CEO of Patreon!?
Seen this dude all over UA-cam and his enthusiasm is off the charts. It seems like everything he is involved in is gold.
Standard under acheiver
😉
Ya, I can't even deal with him being so frickn amazing 😍
He was this pasionate music bearded animal way before he founded Patreon.
And ye, he is pretty cool.
And before he convinced Nataly to marry him.
Ehh.... not quite...
2:34 an improvisation is coming up by the solo guitar and then a confirmation is coming by the bass guitar player... this moment is epic:)))
Just makes me smile ...The bass player is the only guy who’s smiling more than me
I'm not usually into mash-ups, but this is pretty incredible.
You’d like their Sweet Dreams/Seven Nation Army mashup, I think…
This is one of my favourite Pomplamoose videos! 😁 Just LOVE watching the musicians in front having the time of their lives! 😂
The shared glances of sheer joy between the front three dudes as they're amping up the tempo is so good :')
The Pomplamoose dude has been my inspiration for years now. I love his full on foot stomping all rocking head nodding hard grinning enthusiasm :)
Well I'm 73 (so old) - but so good - as usual always better that the original - it never stops - they are the best. Thank you PomplamooseMisic - It's love at first hear.
The transition from fast to slow at 2:17 is just so, so good it gives me goosepimples when I hear it.
That wonderful moment when the backing vocals kick in wordlessly.
Then it doubles down with the beat.
I love how everyone looks like they're having a great time!
Three-part harmony has its own unique quality and vibration. Sounds really good on this.
Nataly has one of the few voices that I could listen to for hours. Very soft, but at the same time just as engaging and just the right edge to not come across as drowsy.
It's so nice to see Quentin Tarantino picking up a new hobby
he looks like a mix between quentin tarantino and daniel bruehl
LOOOOOOL!!
this comment absolutely destroyed me
Binging with babish is right there with him
@@benthobox You'd have to know Babish to know this comment. You made my effin day! Love you bro!
An instant favorite. This might be your best cover yet. It brought out the best in both originals!
Woke up to this playing in my head -- a dark & tantalizing earworm. I love this mashup. For such a tragic & terrifying topic, the music & lyrics are almost intoxicating. Good on ya, Pomplamoose!
I keep winding up on this video. I've watched a lot of Pomplamoose stuff but this particular one keeps coming up in my feed and I watch it every time. Bass player looks SO satisfied with what's happening at any given moment and I think that is one of the major appeals for me, same for KB/Patreon owner Jack Conte. Thanks for sharing this - even if it was over 2 years ago!
No way, 20 seconds and I'm already listening everything in its right place mashing up. How cool is that.
People say Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover event in history but this!
This is ENDGAME😁
@@purge2--u--nite342 It does bring a smile to my face. :)
I watched Infinity War the same day that I discovered this video. *Mind blown*
I love Sarah's voice tone, so sweet and powerful... makes me feel a lot of energy!
You can see and feel they are all real friends. That's living. I can only dream.. God Bless you all.
Why have I never heard of this band before?
I can't get enough of them. Finally, my UA-cam feed is worth dining on.
I love this song so much, to pieces - but watching Jack enjoy it gets me even more into it, hahah.
I watch these videos just to see the instrumentalists excitedly steal glances at one another.
They're like passionate chefs delighted to cook for each other. Maximum stoke.
You guys are simply brilliant !!! What a load of joy and passion!
I really like that guy's bass tone - seen a few videos with him and it is always good.
I love Jack's opening--SO beautiful. This is another hit and run that i keep on repeat because my mind is too small! Damn-There is a great contrast between these two songs--so how does it sound like ONE song. Nataly's voice has this perfect 'squeak' that has my jaw and heart drop. So fine. Wonderful build up then BAM again! REPEAT!
Well Damn!! Never would have guessed this one for Pomplamoose. Jack & friends in the front row having so much fun!
It's so great how you looking at each other one by one like "That's it, man.". Especially in the Radiohead part, really dope. Nice how you keep the connection whipe sitting like this with your band.
I just... I can't believe how good this is. SICK. Jack, you are an inspiration.
Holy shit. When did Thom Yorke's voice go up a couple octaves? I mean, seriously, the opening verse sounds EXACTLY like a Radiohead song.
And then it goes full Pomplamoose in the chorus. I *LOVE* this song. It just checks all the "holy shit this song is awesome" boxes.
How can Jack's piano sound both so perfectly Radiohead and so perfectly Pomplamoose without changing?!?
That's what's up when you throw a rhodes in to it
Jack's faces are the best part of this video
YES!!!
cause he's trying lol
The bassist is the only one on the same level of having a damn good time
oh HELL YEA, thought the same, hes lovin this shit. You can see HE JUST LOVES IT. Bass player too. Damn those harmonies are awesome too. Gave me chills.
All of their videos. He just can't help stealing the show! Haha!
Gotta do it for love!
Are you kidding me. I just stumbled onto this on my feed. Best thing I've heard in years. Like blew my mind good. Refreshing.
One of my favorites of your mashups!
OMG this is soooo gooooooodddddddd!!!!!!!
Nataly..... WOW..... this is my favorite vocal performance of yours so far. Sooo damn great!!
And Jack and the rest of you who I don't know.... AMAZING WORK. This is beautiful.
Thanks!!! Yeah I'm figuring it out! Every time we go in we try to improve the setup.
Hi Lewin! lol
Hello David!
What was the point of ruining legendary song?
John Whatsup, great songs get covered.
ok, this is amazing
Holy crap! I just cant take it how you guys are so damn into this, and the music in generall! *stunning* You saved my night!
Que versão linda!!
Is this a live recording? It looks like it, but I'm not sure. Because if so, you guys are ridiculously tight and synced up with each other. Bass, keys, drums, wow. And the vocal harmonies are perfect. And that drop in the middle of the choruses is just sooo juicy. I love it!
Given how easy it is to clean these things up today, it is save to say we didn't get to hear the original track either way.
LOVE both these songs!! Great Mashup!!
Pomplamoose and Scary Pockets are 2 of the best things that ever happened to UA-cam...
Jack and Radiohead mashups, name a more iconic duo
Radiohead mashup with Jack singing :D
It was meant to be.
Oh this puts a Huge Kick in my Walk.....Always a treat to see PomplamooseMusic in my e-box!!! You All make Us All feel sooooooo good...Thank You and Cheers from Ohio
Better get that shift key checked out
I'm immediately obsessed
Loved it... and I love watching you all having so much fun layin it down!
I love how everyone in in sync with one another. Great job!
THE BEST YET!!! (such good chemistry between the lads in the band!)
this makes me so happy listening to your mash ups!! thank you !!
All this energy is just what I needed! Amaaaazing! 👌
This is sick! Love the way it flips my brain’s musical lobe around and my ears sing along... idk how else to describe this level of musical genius
My favourite song from Radiohead, mixed so smoothly, and that Jack's energy here and in Scary Packets. You guys are just rocking. My favourite people. Also that voice which feels like just so good!
may you please tell on what Radiohead song they based this off
@@boyanmanchev9664 Radiohead - Everything in Its Right place
the most fun part of this, and all their videos, is watching the facial expressions of the guy on keyboards. talk about digging it...oh, yeah
These mashups are perfect!!! Love this group so much!
Ok I'm listening thinking so far its kind of cool, kind of slow, then all of a sudden everything is kicked up a notch and then wow! Another blast of energy comes out of nowhere and now I found my self really getting into this song.
Great job, love watching you all really get into the moment!
I just bought this on iTunes and its great but not as much as watching you guys play.
This is so top. Love it.
top what?
Just love your mashups !!
the bassist playin with such passion i luv it
Front row is such a mood 😁
Such an amazing version of this song. I played it for my daughter and her friend and they know the original. I then went on to explain the lyrics and they were amazed at how dark a song it really is. They had no idea what pumped up kicks referred to. My daughter is a dark humour fan. Favourite joke: What never gets old? Dark humour and unvaccinated kids.
dang this is the best version of this song i have ever heard
I mean I you were to tell me I'd hear a song that fuse pumped up kids and everything in its right place I would have thought it would have been an horrendous joke but now that hear this..... yeah it's a joke but a damn good one ! I'm mesmerized. it's is so clean and well arranged... in the end you just feel like dancing like a madman
You guys nailed this perfectly with EVERYTHING IN IT'S RIGHT PLACE!
The bass : I love you. More than you'll ever know
Andrea Espinosa he is really in love
love your versions guys!!!!
Damn, that piano riff from 'Everything in it's right place' fits sooooooooooooooooo well in the verse. Ah, that's beautiful.
