A quick shout out for Fosi Audio. I bought the T20 in February last year and was using it in my bedroom, primarily using the Bluetooth via my Samsung Tablet. The Bluetooth suddenly stop working a couple of weeks ago. I realised it had a 18 month warranty so i contacted the company via email. After trying a few suggestions...which i already had, they told me they would send a new unit. Arrived yesterday...and all good. They didn't even ask for the old unit, which still worked via Aux? This has restored my faith with some Chinese manufacturers. Sounds very good btw.
I have both. As well as the 32V and 48V power supplies. The differences are almost imperceptible. However, with the 48V 5A power supply, both amplifiers heat up more (In the summer they get quite hot). After 1 month of listening to both FOSI amplifiers, my conclusions are next: V3 is for a shade of cleaner sound. But that's why the BT20A Pro gives me exactly the sound I like. It has lower bass, it's warmer and it has a more dynamic sound. Plus tone controls that mean a lot to me personally. I rarely use Bluetooth. More RCA input with Wiim pro streamer and Topping DX3 Pro+ DAC. I use both amplifiers with Dali Zensor 3 and I'm very satisfied. Whichever model you choose, you won't go wrong. Both are really good amplifiers.
Do you even use the fosi tone controls? I figured you could just use the EQ within Wiim.
Yes, I use both the tone controls and the EQ on the WiiM Pro. By matching both devices, a very good sound signature can be achieved. I even put the Fosi SK01 into the system recently. Amazing little EQ, which sounds even deeper and cleaner. The V3 got a shade lower bass and very clean treble with it.

Take these reviews with a big spoon of salt. I have this little ChiFi amp, it’s wonderful for what it is for desktop listening, casual game room setup etc. but let me be clear, it’s no match for even a entry level, but well built, well priced offerings from Cambridge or Emotiva etc. The Emotiva Mini X-A100 that I also own beats the snot out of this little bugger in terms of superb midrange weight, bass depth and tightness and well resolved treble and separation. But for $80, this BT20a Pro does hold a surprise or two on how well it still can drive medium to large speakers. Anything upto 11 O’clock position sounds good. Beyond that it loses its composure, but it’s already pretty loud 90db by then. Try this for fun and you may find a use case. That said cannot recommend any other amp for under $100. Fosi did a great job in this segment.

Hi there! Very good job on your videos as always! I’d really like to know how you managed to connect your subwoofer to the V3, because as already mentioned in other comments below the volume knob doesn’t control the subwoofer volume alongside! I forced my self to buy another amplifier for this reason (smsl A300), but I still own the V3, so I would like to do a comparison in the near future! Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!

A big advantage (at least for me): The BT20a Pro has a Pre-Out! It's so fun listening to this little thing connected to a Sub 😃
It’s not technically a pre out, it’s a line level rca splitter. The volume control of the amp has no affect on it.
@@mattfranklin3622 For some other Fosi Audio stuff that seems to be the case. But not for de BT20a Pro, the volume control definitely controlls the sub too.

They sounded identical to me but thats probably got more to do with youtubes compressed audio than anything else. I have been trying to work out what to buy for a desktop laptop solution for a few weeks now and finally opted for the older Aiyima DO3 due to the inputs available as much as anything else, only time will tell if I've made the right decision.

I recently found your channel and really enjoy your style! Regarding soundstage and imaging and overall sound quality. Would you be able to reliably tell these two apart if you were blindfolded and were to listen to a favorite song on one amp to the end of the song, and then play the same song to the end on the other amp. Are the differences clear enough to reliably know which amp is which? Thank you!
I had to really lean in to tell the difference. If I were blindfolded, I doubt I'd hear a difference.

I would say the V3
At the moment, the V3 is almost impossible to get. It seems that there are so many vloggers out there, reviewing it. I would be pleased to get the BT 20a. They both have the same components with the same chip inside. It is also is far more flexible, with Bluetooth capability and the added bass and treble controls. This means you can adjust the tone controls to suit the music and the individual dynamics of the speakers With the V3, you only have the one limited sound. However, I would get the 48 watt 5 amp power supply, to get the most from the BT20 a Pro.

Pop noise on,off seems to be on both amps :( Any hight quality 100 euro amps that doesn't have it ?
I think the V3 is a little better but not by a big margin.
Haven’t it been a good idea if an 'Optical Toslink' connections too existed along with the RCA Line in?
That would mean putting a DAC in there. I think they are trying to keep it as simple as possible with good parts. The more circuitry placed in a small amp usually means more noise unless it's really well insulated.

Hello, I just got my fosi audio bt20a pro today. I also have the fosi 10d. (My BT20a pro has significantly less gain than my 10d;) I have to turn the volume up to 3:30 pm to get the same volume my10d gives at 1:00 pm. Is that what you experienced? Also, (the BT20 a pro has a slackey volume nob,) similar to worn car with slack in the steering wheel. Did your units have these characteristics? Thank you for your help. Enjoying your videos!
If I remember correctly, I did have to turn it up a little more than the 10D. The 48v power supply would give it a little more juice. I don't recall having any issues with the volume knob though?

@@scottbennett3119 It could just be the nut that holds it in place. Take off the volume knob and see if the nut is tight? You can use a needle nose pliers.
I managed to get the knob off, tightened the nut more, but still has the slack. Amazon is sending me another unit. Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it. @@UTILITARIANTVUK

Is PLUG P4 5.5 mm x 2.1 mm the same thing as PLUG P4 5.5 mm x 2.5 mm? There is a seller of a 24V 5A power supply, and he describes his power supply with a 5.5mm x 2.1mm plug, and I want to buy one with a 5.5mm x 2.5mm plug and he says that his works

From what I was hearing not much difference until the jazz song then the V3 was the clear winner. I'm envious 😏 of your new Q 3020i speakers, been considering them to replace my JBL Northridge e80 ones. Maybe I could send you my address and you can send me the Dali's 🙂

Just a heads up to get better and easier grasp for you to evaluate how a system component sound then maybe think about treating your room.
Now I listening to your comparison of the two amps that sounds similar.
I got struck by how similar all the different tracks sounded and I realized quickly that it is the room that we hear your mostly. (All sunds the same despite the tracks were recorded in different rooms/venues/spaces.)
As it is the biggest component that contribute with ~50% of what we hear (!) depending on several factors.
So as you played different recordings they all had the same/similar sound that were your room.. maybe something you prefer or probably got conditioned to like after thousands of hours in that room.. (so do not expect that you will immediately like a properly treated room right away when you need to condition your self to a new sound, or more precise the lack of your room sound.)
Would it not being nice to hear the ambiance, size and reverberation of the room where the recording took place instead? (Many recordings have that possiblity)
As your amp shout-out showcase that it is hard to distinguish small differences when the room acustics paint over it with its own color..
So it do not matter if you carrying in and out system components into that room your whole life, all will have the same sound character added to what you hear (by ~50%) that makes your job and viewers listening much harder.. 🎉😂
So with that knowledge bomb we can think about if this system component switching around is the right approach to get better sound quality? When all that time and $$$ is wasted when the sound quality that those components are bringing to the table is mostly erased by the room at the sweet spot..😢
V3 a bit cleaner but i won't touch anything without Bluetooth!
구분하지못할 정도로 비슷한 소리를 들려주는것 같은데 굳이 하나를 선택하라면 V3는 좀더나은 평균값의 소리를, BT20A PRO는 멋진 디자인과 곡마다 원하는 소리색을 조절할 수있는 점이 아닌가 생각합니다. 영상 잘 시청했습니다.

God! that hip hop/rap noise you call music really sucked. The jazz and guitar rock were so much better to do a comparison.
