A late comment, but this is literally the third time in a week that I have seen discussion of Germany's interest in the wild west. Not a huge deal, but not something I can recall ever thinking about before. It is very interesting to see stories about yourself (in the most general sense) from a perspective outside of the United States. This also comes up in Manga quite a bit.

I don’t even know what to say. That looks and sounds absolutely incredible. Westerns are a long time favourite of mine....well, the Italian versions anyway. Watched quite a few with my Dad way back when and that whole genre just really works for me. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! Very high on my list now to keep a lookout for.

That looks very interesting. It's good to know that there's still some interest in western comics-- as I'm working on one currently. I have a few Blueberry books, but it seems I've only scratched the surface. Thanks for sharing. 👍

I believe this character was created by Charlier and Giraud when they were in a dispute with the Blueberry publisher over their payment, so they started this kind of 'Not-Blueberry' as an alternative in Metal Hurlant, to pressure the Blueberry publisher.

0:25 Men are still men. They just don't know it haha! That is one hefty book. Beautiful.

At this point the "Wild West" is indeed a very very uncomfortable myth. I can see homeless alcoholic native americans on the street a few blocks from my house and ranchers are busy fighting the government for the right to exploit and degrade the few remaining wilderness spaces, elsewhere in my state.

But damn, that's a beautiful looking comic!

no, I've never even seen or heard that one... I know about Rodolphe (did some interesting stuff) and the artist Leo (not a favorite of mine) though
