Appreciate you taking the time to go over proper safety precautions.
Great video
Of course! Can’t believe they are pairing those unnamed goggles with it!
Thank you for the sign and the shout-out! Can't wait to hang the sign above my kegerator. Enjoy your drink brother! Super interested in seeing what else you can pump out with that laser. Good video, keep em coming.
Thanks man! I appreciate you! More in the works haha.
This is very cool! I'm impressed how inexpensive this type of technology has become for hobbyists and prosumers.
I was thinking the same thing. Shoot, my wife spends $500 a year on signs/decorations for the house I can now make myself and make it more personalized as well. I bet I could make signs for my neighborhood and offset the cost pretty easily.
Thank You for caring and sharing safety first 👍🏼
Of course man! I’d be pretty upset to know someone got hurt from a recommendation of mine. Thanks for taking the time to say something. It means a lot! Cheers!
🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 Cheers
This is super cool. Nice video. I just got my laser and I will keep watching. Thank you.
Thank you! It’s a handy tool to have! I’ll definitely be using it more in the future! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the safety advice. I just bought this and assembled it Sunday. Still haven't run a project yet as I'm still gathering information how to use it. I have a shapeoko pro CNC and thought this would be a great addition to my shop. Cheers!
Hey, of course! It’s a cool gadget for sure. I’ve been wanting a CNC for a while now. Might have to start looking into them. I think the two would go perfect together. One for cutting, the other for more of the art details. Cheers, thanks for watching!
Using the tape on the sign to create a stencil?! Genius! I would not have thought of that!
Haha thank you! Works really well!
Glad you got one too! Lots of channels I sub got them. I'm still working on the CNC before I get into Diode Laser.
Thank you! I appreciate that! I’ve been wanting a CNC! I’m glad to see how many options there are out there for cool tools like this. The laser is neat because of how small it is. I can easily hang it on the wall or store it vertically to save some space. What manufacturers are you looking at for a CNC?
Dude! Thank you. I’ll check it out. I appreciate the recommendation!
Thanks for sharing appreciate it
Of course! Thanks for watching!
Nice! I would love to have one of these lasers. #shopgoals
They are awesome for craft projects! Especially if you’re selling smaller stuff like that!
Starting to want to join the Tyler coalition that seems to be forming here. Is there an early sign up bonus?
The Citadel of Tylers welcomes all! Early adopters get beer tickets and a seat at the hectagonal table.
Are you using the SF pro or the LF pro?
I believe mine is the Long focus. They didn’t distinguish when they sent it to me to check out but the LF is more powerful but a little less precise on fine details (which is what I would describe my lasers ability). A light sanding helps clear any burn over though. The short focus seems to be more geared to fine engraving with cutting being pretty out of the question (from what I read anyway)
Nice video dude! Now quick question, you mentioned that it would take a while to cut the 5 mm plywood, is any machine on the market to do it that you recommend for almost the same price?
Hey, thanks! I don’t think so. The more powerful lasers are much more expensive, although with Black Friday coming up, you can probably find a deal. There are 40w lasers out there that aren’t too bad and I bet they’d cut the time in half (or close to it).
@@WoodNerds i just gotten a Sculpfun S9, it can cut 3mm craft plywood in one pass at 100% at 100mm per minute.
Freaking sweet! I’ll have to check that out! 3mm would be good enough for me to make some pretty legit signs! Also a bunch of knick-knacks!
@@WoodNerds Yeah, I am enjoying mine, I would cut the 3mm plywood with least 2 or 3 passes with lower power to get cleaner cut.
Bought one of these in a sale last Christmas. Still haven’t put it together and used it so thanks for the encouragement to get my ass in gear.
Haha it took me a little bit to get myself together as well. There’s a lot to learn. It always helps if you have a problem that the tool you bought can solve. It’s really cool though, I’m a fan for sure. I highly recommend the safety glasses I got and don’t rely on the printed instructions (mine were awful) there are some good UA-cam tutorials on how to put it together.
Drop the lof-fi crap background. It sounds like a funeral.
Check out the brand Cricut for ideas on weeding tools. Dollar tree and harbor freight have great budget weeding tools. Awesome sign!
Dude, those would be perfect! Thanks for the recommendation!
