This update took almost the same amount of time as the Stone Free update, yet gave us nearly a quarter of the same content. YBA devs are lackin nowadays.
I feel it starts to get to a point where with the sheer amount of time it takes for the yba team to make a grand total of 3 barely relevant changes to the game you gotta start questioning whether the yba team even enjoy working on yba anymore or if they're genuinely tired of it

fun fact: The Sticky Fingers move "Living Zippers" confirms into nearly every single move (including pluck moves likes crescent slice), then after closing all the zippers, confirms into nearly ANY beatdown or move. The only way to counter any combo with that, is to Barrage, which in turn just leads to another combo, because the cooldowns are so short nearly all the important moves reset after your Barrage finishes. We all know uzu says he makes new reworks/stands "op" when they release to nerf them later, yet it took Scary Monsters since release to actually get nerfed, so this will either be nerfed by next month, or if we're actually honest next July.
What I find hilarious is that he shown us a combo with SF, said combo did HALF OF SOMEONE'S HP NO SPEC MOVE NO GUARDBREAK/PARRY Just the fucking stand itself Also all of the moves have 0 endlag and have armor, because fuck it I guess ?

I started playing TCA after you introduced me to it and I’m so glad I got out of this shithole of a game. The balancing is soooo much better in TCA than YBA, sticky fingers has a combo that does HALF YOUR HP without a spec. What were they thinking with these new reworks being way to op to even fight against with a stand that hasn’t been reworked.
I want to play the game so damn badly but I can’t because no one is on 1v1s or the other game mode that I suck at! But yeah right now after the story there isn’t much else to do. And it makes me so fucking sad that a JoJo game that is ENJOYABLE gets this much hate and no popularity at all!

I think the fall of Yba was the crazy diamond update. I really enjoyed the stone free update as it added a unique new stand, an easier to navigate map(for me at least), and new spec rework, which I personally think they did very good for that update. Should it have taken 6 months? No. It was my favorite update in Yba personally, but overall could have been done better. Now we get this. All we have is a bit of balance changes, a new feature, a stand rework, and nothing else. Nothing.
Yba’s fall imo was the first Halloween update and that’s due to them adding so many cosmetics to where people didn’t play 1v1s or PvP and it single handedly made the devs to be lazy and the shills ate the update up saying its new content when it just turned tbe game into skin simulator
My favorite was the heaven update by far. It added 2 entirely new stands, a whole storyline, multiple bosses, and more reasons to obtain saints corps parts. It was an incredible update
The fact that an rework like this can be done like, in an minimun of 1 month or so, with a good team, or like in 3 months if the stand rework done by 1 single man with a good schedule in studio
watching the trailer I was honestly shocked by how little was added, the beat down is horrible while my expectations for it were so high, literally no new skins, awful balance changes and no SBR revamp.

10:18 the funny thing is, there was this list consisting of potential future changes like over a year ago. It has really cool stuff like new move to kc, huge balance changes to beach boy, a shit ton of other balance changes etc and it hasnt still been added, almost any of those.
Even the sticky fingers is flawed, it has so many bugs (from what i have encountered). The worst of them all is that, if you use your v ability and you get barraged right after you put your zipper down, your stand just gets stuck in place until you use your t move or you resummon your stand

im gonna be honest, i haven't played yba consistently since last year or so. i started playing in 2021 and i loved it so much. i have been checking up on the game every once in a while but seeing this, it's just very disappointing. i used to play this game almost everyday after school getting good, balanced updates and now in 2023, there's no more of that. i love the game and have loved the game but, this is just sad.
I'll just recap what I said before: Top ten reasons why Uzu is lying: 1. Uzu took half of a year, promising us 1v1 Rework but still hasn’t implanted it. 2. The Sticky Finger rework is 100% rushed, as it’s full of bugs, and considering it was half a year, there is no excuse. 3. There are 0 new skins for Christmas. But I won’t go in detail about that. 4. SBR Rework was never worked on, as turns out the sneakpeak was a 1v1 map. 5. Never bothered to communicate with the community. Saying you’re afraid of community backlash is not an excuse cause you earned it. 6. Staff team was entirely your fault, as I said before, Sticky Finger seemed to be rushed, meaning half of the 6 months you didn’t even START on it, and only when deadline was coming was when you decide to check on your team on progress. 7. Terrible excuses, and if you noticed YBA player count slowly is going down. Even after the rework coming out, the amount of people playing is the exact number it is during the weekends. 8. Didn’t even bother to apologize or own up you don’t care about your fanbase or game. 9. Making Paragon and the other staff team make up fake excuses for your poor managing skills 10. You’re terrible dev overall.

I’ma be honest, after this whole time we’ve been waiting, even considerin’ the delays and all, but it’s just yet another stand rework and recycled update. Honestly I pretty much did expect nothing at all, but somehow I’m disappointed again. Look, I get that Uzu was trying his best to get the update done, which is nice and all, but he hasn’t even gave communication to the community AT ALL. Sure he sent a few messages, but that still doesn’t change the fact that he mostly didn’t communicate with their community.
roblox developers have a track record for not finishing or doing sub par work since most people try to work for multiple games (and get absolutely no work done). What probably happened was that uzukee lost motivation since he couldn't find someone to finish sticky fingers assets, and he spent the 5 months trying to find a replacement dev that actually did work (Its very difficult from my experience as a developer)
im 99% sure that uzu is only updating and or focusing on the game when he's running low on money. like I don't want to discredit the guy but how has he NOT FIXED ALL THE PROBLEMS ALREADY PRESENT IN THE GAME WITH ALL THE TIME HE HAD. then he ends up revamping his dev team which hopefully will speed things up but probably still going to take 3-4 months for a single update to come out
I laughed when uzu gave us the "Trash devs" excuse again. Blud killed the only Roblox JoJo remaining and is still saying things like "Be ready for even more crazy updates" or "I had some issues but that won't happen again".

This really only makes me more hyped for the tca update which I know will slap
eclipse mentioned a very good point, "motivation". the way i see it is that the devs aren't actually passionate about yba, i think they initially only meant for it to be a small and simple stand game that they didn't expect success from, but then they got caught up with sudden popularity and were obliged to sustain the game because it brought them money. so therefore i think they don't actually have any passion, meaning they dont have any motivation, and they're only still working on yba for the sake of popularity and revenue
I use these updates as mental training by having high expectations cuz "best jojo game" and hten getting my mental state fucked cuz the only game i slightly like playing is going down so horribly that its just not worth it anymore, and since my mental state is so fucked, i barely get offended by the death threats that i get on discord for whatever reason. It works, i guess.

I really enjoyed the stone free update as it added a unique new stand, an easier to navigate map(for me at least), and new spec rework, which I personally think they did very good for that update. Should it have taken 6 months? No. It was my favorite update in Yba personally, but overall could have been done better. Now we get this. All we have is a bit of balance changes, a new feature, a stand rework, and nothing else. Nothing.
Personally I love the heaven update, but yeah I absolutely LOATHED the CD update since it pretty much began all of this combo-centric era.
Yba’s fall imo was the first Halloween update and that’s due to them adding so many cosmetics to where people didn’t play 1v1s or PvP and it single handedly made the devs to be lazy and the shills ate the update up saying its new content when it just turned tbe game into skin simulator
My favorite was the heaven update by far. It added 2 entirely new stands, a whole storyline, multiple bosses, and more reasons to obtain saints corps parts. It was an incredible update

10:18 the funny thing is, there was this list consisting of potential future changes like over a year ago. It has really cool stuff like new move to kc, huge balance changes to beach boy, a shit ton of other balance changes etc and it hasnt still been added, almost any of those.

Even the sticky fingers is flawed, it has so many bugs (from what i have encountered). The worst of them all is that, if you use your v ability and you get barraged right after you put your zipper down, your stand just gets stuck in place until you use your t move or you resummon your stand
I remember when deepwoken was fresh, me and all my friends were talking about all the new additions, the talents, the bells, all the beautiful enchantments and actual updates, and then i looked outside and saw all the YBA fans playing in the mud.

im gonna be honest, i haven't played yba consistently since last year or so. i started playing in 2021 and i loved it so much. i have been checking up on the game every once in a while but seeing this, it's just very disappointing. i used to play this game almost everyday after school getting good, balanced updates and now in 2023, there's no more of that. i love the game and have loved the game but, this is just sad.

Top ten reasons why Uzu is lying:
1. Uzu took half of a year, promising us 1v1 Rework but still hasn’t implanted it.
2. The Sticky Finger rework is 100% rushed, as it’s full of bugs, and considering it was half a year, there is no excuse.
3. There are 0 new skins for Christmas. But I won’t go in detail about that.
4. SBR Rework was never worked on, as turns out the sneakpeak was a 1v1 map.
5. Never bothered to communicate with the community. Saying you’re afraid of community backlash is not an excuse cause you earned it.
6. Staff team was entirely your fault, as I said before, Sticky Finger seemed to be rushed, meaning half of the 6 months you didn’t even START on it, and only when deadline was coming was when you decide to check on your team on progress.
7. Terrible excuses, and if you noticed YBA player count slowly is going down. Even after the rework coming out, the amount of people playing is the exact number it is during the weekends.
8. Didn’t even bother to apologize or own up you don’t care about your fanbase or game.
9. Making Paragon and the other staff team make up fake excuses for your poor managing skills
10. You’re terrible dev overall.

It almost baffles my mind how uzu didn't even implement MOST of the balanced paragon's document says, like, if the patch notes was "christmas event, sf, and here are 120 lines of balance changes" i would've been happy. Like, i don't code in Lua (the language roblox uses) but SURELY it's not TOO HARD to change a few parameters, and i say that having coded quite the bunch of stuff for games in C#, adding some cooldowns and reducing stuns DOES NOT REQUIRE A CODE REVAMP THAT WOULD DELAY A BALANCE UPDATE SO MUCH

I’ma be honest, after this whole time we’ve been waiting, even considerin’ the delays and all, but it’s just yet another stand rework and recycled update. Honestly I pretty much did expect nothing at all, but somehow I’m disappointed again. Look, I get that Uzu was trying his best to get the update done, which is nice and all, but he hasn’t even gave communication to the community AT ALL. Sure he sent a few messages, but that still doesn’t change the fact that he mostly didn’t communicate with their community.
The fact that they didn't even change the thumbnail for yba just shows how uzu got SO LAZY in this past years and it makes me laugh.

roblox developers have a track record for not finishing or doing sub par work since most people try to work for multiple games (and get absolutely no work done). What probably happened was that uzukee lost motivation since he couldn't find someone to finish sticky fingers assets, and he spent the 5 months trying to find a replacement dev that actually did work (Its very difficult from my experience as a developer)
A guy built the entire multiverse in Minecraft in 5 months (I’m not kidding) and this guy can’t make a 1v1’s update

It's not worse. Technically, it's a better stand. It's broken and agrumentally the problem besides the bugs. But old SF was more of a spec support than a stand.

It’s hilarious that this update hasn’t even brought the players it typically would have. Instead of 50k-70k players on launch it’s just a wet fart of 9k. That’s just the state of yba right now. On one hand, it’s sad to see this game go down like this. But on the other hand, uzu deserves to go down like this. If this is the route he chooses and refuses to improve, so be it. This really only makes me more hyped for the tca update which I know will slap

eclipse mentioned a very good point, "motivation". the way i see it is that the devs aren't actually passionate about yba, i think they initially only meant for it to be a small and simple stand game that they didn't expect success from, but then they got caught up with sudden popularity and were obliged to sustain the game because it brought them money. so therefore i think they don't actually have any passion, meaning they dont have any motivation, and they're only still working on yba for the sake of popularity and revenue

I use these updates as mental training by having high expectations cuz "best jojo game" and hten getting my mental state fucked cuz the only game i slightly like playing is going down so horribly that its just not worth it anymore, and since my mental state is so fucked, i barely get offended by the death threats that i get on discord for whatever reason. It works, i guess.
