On my first ever New York visit I by accident ran into the live recording of a concert at Riverside Park (Rhythm-A-Ning) . Kenny Barron and John Hicks with Walter Booker and Jimmy Cobb. Great memories of world class musicians.

It's good to remember (fondly) a fine pianist who was such a stalwart of the New York jazz scene during his life.

Great job Brother Bret. I knew them both too. The last time I hung with Hicks wad at B.Smith's Union Station DC location.
