It's basically a team dude... Increasing its speed would be dangerous as its gonna be running on the same ground as other vehicles. So, lots of cars and bikes would be taking over the tram. Atleast that's what I think. Correct me if I'm wrong...

The tram was also present in Delhi many years ago before independence . And its not about having the tram system in Kolkata but matters is the productivity as the metro was also first introduced in Kolkata in 89s but what was its condition .
After almost 15 years of Kolkata , delhi metro introduced and now see it is one of the best in the world and top most in country . And I already travelled in kolkata tram and it is same as before independence no upgrade but delhi metro known for its service so it will open a new chapter in metrolite system in our country just like they open in metro systems in the nation
