You go girl, Did this 20 years ago, assembling is my G1023Z with the Fox Super Fence, I still love this saw, still performs like day one. Once in a life-time purchase. Congratulations.🎈
I currently do not own a table saw and have been watching so many videos on them because I want one. I’ve been watching the regular 10” saw videos but this was recommended to me and well… why would I wanna buy a cheap one after seeing this?! Now I gotta sell a kidney for my first table saw! Thanks a lot! I spiked the 👍🏾
Looks so great - very enjoyable watching you build your shop by refurbishing the old and acquiring the new. I was glad to see you wearing the safety glasses; although I did cringe when the heavy steel saw got moved in sandals and bare feet. Looking forward to the router table build. Keep up the good work.
Awesome saw! I just sold my soul to build my shop. The G023RLW cabinet saw w/ router table, G0513ANV 17” bandsaw anniversary edition, G0462 16x46 lathe, G0733 18x47 lathe and the G10142X belt/disc combo sander with cabinet stand. I love my Grizzlies. I may have to change my channel name and maybe score some sponsorship when I start releasing content. Enjoy your new equipment. I’m subscribing too!
@@HonestWorkDesigns I used my military discount which covered all the freight costs. I’ve worked my whole life towards this dream of creating my own income. While being able to express myself artistically. I’ll be making videos soon. That’s a fear I’ll need to overcome.
It's really nice to see you get heavy table saw setup by your own, also the base is great to relocate it in garage to save space to do other jobs. I really want to know where to get the leveling wheels
That looks to be a worthwhile purchase, congratulations on successfully putting it together and as you have done before, framing it for stability in operation and movement. Boss job 🙂
excellent review! I'm looking at getting this same saw. I like your mobile base better than what I'm thinking of getting as it raises the saw table by 1.5"
Sounds like you’re talking about the riving knife (just behind the blade) or the rear rail that is used to stabilize the fence in my set up, but can also be used to support a table extension insert.
You put an angle on the rear of the table that was included with the fence package, does the fence attach to that angle? You also made no mention of the blades angle adjustment does it tilt to the full 45 degree or slightly beyond?
@@HonestWorkDesigns at time stamp in your video 5.08 you attached a steel angle to the rear of the cast top - what purpose did the angle serve? Does it play any part in the function of the fence?
Oh! I get it now - yes in theory, (because I haven’t cut any piece that large on it yet it can provide some support to the fence, it’s also an important piece if you/I were ever to upgrade and get the table surface extension for this saw.
Still really pleased with it! I’ve had slight problems with the smaller dust collection getting clogged, but I think that’s a combination problem of relying too much on a low grade dust collection system, and not cleaning it out enough.
@@HonestWorkDesigns thx for the update info. Rlly looking into this saw for sure. Did u find plans for the rolling base or was it a one off? I like that its simple and can slide it right onto the base off the pallet
Happy to share - I would def call it worth the investment. And the low-boy I just whipped up. As long as you have lever support at the top of the wheel anchors, those wheels work great.
I actually was nervous about that too when i saw the anchoring mechanism and I went to make my first cut. But once set, I haven’t had any real issues with it moving or shifting out of square!
Great video, thank you! I'm buying one of these but unsure of the power connection. Looks like you may have replaced their plug with a twist-type line? What type of wire and connectors did you use exactly? Thanks!
I did! As I had restored the older tools first, we had already changed to that style of plug so we matched the new tool to that style as well. That style makes it so you never can come in contact with energized prongs. As voltage increases wire size can safely decrease, but the wire itself is all oversized for these applications out of an abundance of caution. However, regardless of voltage of your tool, I’d recommend verify with an electrician that the gauge / amp rating of your wire / plugs meets the wattage draw or tool.
Honestly, still love it. I was worried to see how the fence would do with wear and tear, but still really happy with it. My only complaint is that I’ve used it so much I need to swap the blade much sooner than I expected. Haha!
It’s a stabila stossfess level from my great grandfather’s tool box. He was a cabinet maker for Pacemaker boats, so restoring some of his old hand tools and tool box was really cool.

Another useful tool for your workshop. Meh - it’s only money you would have otherwise wasted on food and mortgage payments.... I do like your low trollies with the lifting casters. I was just thinking that you’ll want a work table that can sit behind the saw but you’ve made a router table which I expect will perform that role. I am enjoying watching you build your new workshop!
Thanks, Alan! The low boy took a little trial and error to get the casters to lever without busting the lumber, but finally got it done! And you’ve got me pegged! Not the router table, but I actually use the other table of the miter station I put together (edit coming soon) as the outfeed! I realized pretty quickly I was gonna need one haha!
How could you possibly know if it the wings were actually properly align with the table top with all of that industrial shipping goop still on the surface throwing any possible reference surface off. ALWAYS clean the top and wings COMPLETELY before assembling. You have no idea if those surfaces are actually aligned properly the way you did it.
Cross cutting with material stuck between the blade and the fence is one of the stupidest and most dangerous things you can do on a table saw. That one of the first things taught in safe operations of this tool!
As someone who watches a TON of this type of channel, a small bit of advice. Lose the music. It is super annoying and distracting. Narration is enough, that's why anyone would be watching this. To hear what you have to say, and your walk through of the steps you took. Otherwise great vid. This is something literally every home shop person wants to do... upgrade to a cabinet saw. Congrats on the saw! Also, bare feet/sandals in the shop? I'm not a safety_Karen or anything, but I've dropped enough boards on my toes to cringe at that. Sticking around for your outfeed table build, which you will want in about ten minutes (if not already).
Haha, thanks Sam. You’re not wrong about the shoes, i guess old Congo habits die hard. And you might actually be able to see the combo outfeed/miter station table behind me in one of the end shots. I’m working on those edits now!You weren’t wrong, pretty much immediately realized I needed one after the first cut! Haha!

Nice table saw. Your shop is taking shape. Congrats. You should look at building a panel saw.
I like that idea!
bought one last week waiting for delivery to south america.
You did a great job with this video. I've been researching new table saws. How do you like it after using it for a while?
I like it a lot - the only real struggle I’ve had with it is my arbor bowed at some point. But taking it apart to fix has been pretty easy!
Nice video. I'm considering this saw. Are you still happy with it?. Reaching underneath to reach the riving knife.. Is it difficult?.
I'm getting one
damn. that new new 🔥
So fresh and so clean clean
I am curious about that small, black square plate on the far side of the blade - rear of the table. What is that for?
Sounds like you’re talking about the riving knife (just behind the blade) or the rear rail that is used to stabilize the fence in my set up, but can also be used to support a table extension insert.
I was wondering the same thing when i got the saw but i believe it’s for the blade guard. The metal wings on the blade guard rest on top of it.
I very much enjoyed your review. One question...what type of degreaser did you use?
Thanks, joe! I just used a break cleaner my husband had laying around. I’ll see if I can dig up a bottle for the brand!
You put an angle on the rear of the table that was included with the fence package, does the fence attach to that angle? You also made no mention of the blades angle adjustment does it tilt to the full 45 degree or slightly beyond?
Hey Joel! Not totally sure I understand your first question - are you referring to the orange square in the video? And yes the full tilt is 45 degrees

Thanks, Addie! It DEF took a little tweaking and trial an error to get it set well. What’s giving you trouble?
