I just have the same fan as yours silver one, I just use a remote control plug, works fine, no gimmicks switch on/off

Had my Headwind for 4.5 years now and it is probably the best piece of training kit I have ever bought. Would buy another again. I used to use the HR function to control but I don’t really need it as my HR doesn’t vary that much.
I use the phone app to turn it on.

I have to agree. I love the way I can take control of this with my phone during a Zwift session and ramp it up, or down as needed. Great bit of kit. Thanks for watching.

I think i have the alternative you are talking about - Vacmaster AM1202R Cardio. The remote is very similar to car remote, good quality and works really well. I have it attached to the table (yes, that as well is knockoff of wahoo table..) tho, so not directly in the corrosive sweat rain area :D But even considering that, I find no justification for kickr 3x pricetag over 90 euros i paid for vacmaster.

Was that MyWhoosh you had running on the screen behind you?? I might be having a bash at that when I'm back up and running again

It's not MyWhoosh (I'll confess that's another new one to me). This is Rolla. It's a little like RGT - in that it needs a phone app to partner with it. But it looks very sweet.
