ya but i feel like if its really a 1000lb feather there wouldn't be air resistance due to the pure weight of it. (unless we talking some weird magic shit)

exactly, if a 200lb person with a parachute jumped off a building at the same time as a 200lb person without one the air resistance would slow the person with the parachute down. Objects that are the same exact shape hit the ground at the same time no matter what the weight is

When there is no air, all bodies or objects fall at same speed irrespective of their mass, size etc.
There are 2 possible answer for your question:
a) In vacuum or when there is no air, they fall together or with same speed.
b)when there is air, lead falls faster because feathers have large surface area therefore they experience more air resistance (friction)

Brad got the saying wrong. I think you’re supposed to ask which one ways more. Not which one will hit the bottom first because many other variants come into play when you are dripping it off a building instead of just comparing weights

He didn't ask the question correctly, its a bag full of feathers and a bag full of rocks - theoretically they have equal air resistance.
@@Liladelph no they wouldn’t, bc at equal weight, a bag full of rocks would probably be much smaller, creating less surface area, less resistance, more speed, than a much larger pillow.

Actually the 1000 pound rock is gonna hit the ground first because rock is a lot more dense hence its volume is way less than the feather so it will experience and a lot less air resistance. Bradley's answer is only correct if we discount resistance completely

Gravity effects everything the same regardless of weight assuming that we are looking at the time it takes to fall. However it is also important to take into consideration air resistance. Feathers have a high air resistance which is why they tend to be floaty.
