imagine walking into a shop, the shop knows all your preferences and helps you shop, then it automatically bills you when you leave with the products. no cash required.
So then you agree, humans don’t truly have willpower, at least not in the sense most believe we do. Like our brains’ synapses already do, AI or automated predicative patterns as suggested here with predicative or preference-based “shopping” where you’re essentially sold what you’d have chosen before realizing a choice or selection is to be made. Our brains do that, predict outcome before we’ve even consciously selected or thought over the options. So it makes sense AI would mimic real neural processing, as it usually does.
The Internet is about science challenging itself! Identity can easily be turned into a endless subject and can be detailed and used with whichever intentions: to mention this word in French causes passionate debate since the concept 'generation identitaire' is a far right concept which fits between the parameters of a Nation and extreme cultural conservatism. It takes genuine education and nformation to hatch out of this description : individually we may have to realise that to be selfish does not have to be purely self orientated but to value and appreciate the same egoism in others as a great contributor to win win situations. The paternalist colonialist conception of charity where we expect the receiver of donations to have the same tastes as us is old fashioned and ineffective. To encourage foreigners in a coercive 'package' that includes their own Culture, while just expecting respect in return, is more again like mentioning win win situations.
The 1957 movie The Desk Set with Tracy and Hepburn had a bizarre service involving a concept like the radiating library, with ladies taking calls and answering questions with a computer.

How long would it take for the larger group of animals to learn from the one? Would knowledge of how to use the monitor be passed on from adult to child? Would the chid animal yet to be brought into the way of the wild by adults lead the way or would adults do the learning? How would animals react solely on their own to this mysterious device.
I want to address an issue about copyrights on the web. As a songwriter I think getting free music is cool too. I've done it. But I also think as a songwriter that it is not giving the public the same level of new songs that has been released in the past because the copyrights of a song worthless because of free music and there for as a songwriter I would not be willing to take the song in my notebook and file it with the library of congress or record my new song or even share it with the web! And that is sad!? Where as in the past songwriters would have been singing it to anyone who would listen for instant fame and fortune! But now we are only playing them live simply because ticket sales at a concert is the only way a songwriter can make any money on them these days. And unknown to the music lover! He does not hear allot of the Great Songs that are being written these days? THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED? BYE BYE!
Perhaps we are back to the days of manuscripts, when the author lost control the minute the original was sent to someone else, who could copy it and in the process alter it as he or she saw fit. Or when songs were passed on orally by anyone who already knew them and were thus appropriated by the entire people. That was actually the condition we were in for the majority of human history. The idea that you could make money from mass-producing copies of things is really no more than four or five hundred years old at most, and the concept of "intellectual property" is even newer than that.
Songs are like anything else that can be digitized and shared across electronic communications networks. Like books. It used to be that you wanted a good story, or to learn about something you had to find and read a book about the subject. You had to go to the library and look for stuff that matched your interest, and would try new writers and genres to keep it interesting. Anyone could write a book, but not everyone could get a book published. Even a book that found a publisher might not find a large audience. It was a gated community. With music, you listened to a radio station and never knew what you might hear next week. You had to be introduced to music and artists through the middle man. It was a gated community. There is still some very good music being made today. But it exists in a world where there is a LOT of unremarkable music, and if you don't have a friend who introduced it to you, and you don't know where to look or aren't looking for it at all, odds are you will never hear it.

The "internet of things"-guy is on to something. If we can somehow get rid of the internal architecture required to transmit data from one computer to another, we could make the Internet 100% free... You purchase your own transmitting hardware (similar to wifi), and never pay another company for Internet service....but first, we need a technology that can transmit data over further distances without a physical connection point. Without a choke-point.
The internet could get so cheap that freeloaders could ride on the backs of payers who do not actually care. That is how google, facebook, youtube and other networked data systems work. The question is how cheap can we make networks.

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the momentt ?

Very informative , whole lotta thanks for the post tbh
The "internet of things"-guy is on to something. If we can somehow get rid of the internal architecture required to transmit data from one computer to another, we could make the Internet 100% free... You purchase your own transmitting hardware (similar to wifi), and never pay another company for Internet service....but first, we need a technology that can transmit data over further distances without a physical connection point. Without a choke-point.
The internet could get so cheap that freeloaders could ride on the backs of payers who do not actually care. That is how google, facebook, youtube and other networked data systems work.
The question is how cheap can we make networks.

There are plenty of “nerds” wrong word in my opinion- they should be called what they are EXPERTS.
Plenty of them who are also hand to hand combat experts! They even put it on the sides of their vehicles. Nerd Squad.
Just turn off the electricity and its all gone
We must try to adapt our brains to hypercondictivity
As God created us in His own image, The substance of this beautiful scientific discussion can reveal God's evidence in people's creative intelligence. Thanks, "World Science Festival" for an interesting and insightful discussion about mind-blowing futuristic technologies. 👍
Wired machines think? Humans think? Both auto-mata... Which human has substance?
Shut up ! This is my moment ! 11:30

The Microsoft Logo in the background or is that just a stylized drape.
The big honcho from Google using primitive technology, pencil and paper pad.

It's just scholars patting their predecessors on the back, crowned with pedantic drivel about ancient monks needing easier access into superstition. We got left out of the discussion, somehow, about how we're effected by "the most disruptive technology," along with our social forces for and against these changes. Leave it to scholar to make existential realities meaningless.
