225 took that long for 2 butts? Wow! Mine usually only take anywhere from 9 to 12 hours....but...that being said, all butts are not created equal. Delicious stuff! Love the 560 so far.
I did, but it causes it to rust much faster. I would recommend getting a stainless steel manifold cover and season it. I think it will last much longer.
I'm liking that cooker more and more. I think I will hold out for the 1050 though. Do you know if any temp probe will work with it? Great looking BBQ..
I have heard the 1050 is great. I have loved my 560 though. I mostly cook for my family so that size of the 560 has been perfect so far. The Temp Probes that a lot of people really like are these: amzn.to/2WHuYBH
You can do both. I tend to mix in with the charcoal, but you can put them in the ash box and as the charcoal burns the embers drop on the wood and cause it to smoke. That's a great question.
Yep,u needed to show fuel input , Temp settings , smoke wood u used...it's a new grill we need all input . How u loaded your coals, what u used, how to set temperature.. you'll get more subscribers that way,u started in the middle bro.. we're looking for information on this new gravity feed monster!! OK
Did you put foil on top of the deflector? Looks like you did. I am waiting for mine to be delivered this Wednesday. Cannot wait to try it out. Also located in Fl near Tampa. Butt looked delish
I have had/have a Traeger, a 5 burner Bbq Galore, webber gas, and a few others. The 560 has been my favorite so far. I love how easy it makes charcoal. I have never seen anything else like it so far. I'd love to try the 1080 Masterbuilt just released, but I am very pleased with the 560. Thanks for checking out my channel! I have a smoked turkey video dropping later today.
I check it every time I start to see if I need to add more charcoal. When I smoke it depends on the type of charcoal. I have found B&B to last longer than Kingsford.
I think it could be better. It was their first go around. The 1050 is made with the same materials but it is heavier and seems better built. I think it is still a great grill/smoker and for the price I don't think it can be beat right now.
Good video. The pork looks amazing. Look forward to more of your content. Thanks
Thanks so much! It turned out great too.

Yea I couldn’t believe it. I have done many many more and no where near this long.

I appreciate it! I will have more coming!
Great show. Keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
Looks like you put foil on the 560 manifold. Good idea!

Nicely done!
Thanks!
Hey bud. Are you doing any new projects

What temp did you cook at to take so long.....215 deg? Love the music and the slo mo smoke shots....nice!
225. Thanks so much!
I'm getting charcoal dust blown into the grilling/ smoking area. Any thoughts on the best charcoal to minimize this problem from the fan
I have found b&b charlogs to be the best for me.
Do the wood chunks get mixed in with the charcoal or is there a separate area in the firebox to place them?
You can do both. I tend to mix in with the charcoal, but you can put them in the ash box and as the charcoal burns the embers drop on the wood and cause it to smoke. That's a great question.

I am going to do a Masterbuilt Basics video this week to show what I have learned and how it all works. Thanks!
Did you put foil on top of the deflector? Looks like you did. I am waiting for mine to be delivered this Wednesday. Cannot wait to try it out. Also located in Fl near Tampa. Butt looked delish
Yes, I did to keep it clean from drippings. Make it a little easier to clean when I want to. Good eye.
Masterbuilt gravity is a tank! What did you have before it for bbqn?
I have had/have a Traeger, a 5 burner Bbq Galore, webber gas, and a few others. The 560 has been my favorite so far. I love how easy it makes charcoal. I have never seen anything else like it so far. Correct Curtis
Thanks
Nice cook! Not sure if I didn’t catch it but what temp did you cook at about how much coal did you use?
I was at 225. I only refilled one time.
How often did you have to reload the hopper?
I check it every time I start to see if I need to add more charcoal. When I smoke it depends on the type of charcoal. I have found B&B to last longer than Kingsford.
How much charcoal did it use on a cook that long
Great question!
It was about a bag and half of kingsford. I know there are other types charcoal that I could use to last longer. Thanks for watching.
your thoughts on the construction quality of the grill ?
I think it could be better. It was their first go around. The 1050 is made with the same materials but it is heavier and seems better built. I think it is still a great grill/smoker and for the price I don't think it can be beat right now.
@@shipwreckbbq thanks man
21 hrs how much charcoal ,did u have to add??
I used one bag.
What was the internal temp for your liking?
225 and the Masterbuilt really held temp well.
21hrs seems excessive
But it tasted so good.
Good show lose the tunes thanks
Thanks for watching
