Huang Xiaojun is a talented Malaysian Chinese female singer who enjoyed a high reputation in the pop music scene in the 70s and 80s for her sweet voice and tender song style. She was born in Hutan Melaka, Perak, Malaysia, and later settled in Singapore, becoming an important figure in the Chinese and Cantonese music scene.
She is known as the "Three Juns and One Ying" together with Singapore's Lin Zhujun, Zhang Xiaoying and Taiwan's Teresa Teng, leaving a deep mark on the Chinese music scene. Huang Xiaojun's songs have become classics many times, such as "Sing a Love Song for Whom", "Bless You" and "When the Moon Rises", which show her unique artistic charm and affectionate interpretation ability.
Her voice is considered to be a combination of Teresa Teng's lingering, Feng Feifei's tenderness, and You Ya's sweetness, as well as the high pitch of Zhang Xiaoying and Ouyang Feifei, and the richness of Yang Xiaoping, Bao Nana and Xu Xiaofeng. Huang Xiaojun's songs are loved by many fans because of her clear and accurate pronunciation and understanding of the songs.
She has recorded records in two record companies. In the early days, she released 32 albums in Malaysia's Happy Records Agency. Later, she switched to Malaysia's Lifeng (Lefeng) Records Company and released 21 albums in Lifeng. In 1983, Huang Xiaojun faded out of the music scene until 1998 when she recorded another album "Heart of Homecoming", which became her last work.

她与新加坡的林竹君、张小英以及台湾的邓丽君并称为“三君一英”，在中文歌坛上留下了深刻的印记。黄晓君的歌曲多次成为经典，如《唱首情歌给谁听》、《祝福您》和《当月亮升起的时候》等，这些作品展现了她独特的艺术魅力和深情的演绎能力。
她的声音被认为集邓丽君的缠绵、凤飞飞的柔情、尤雅的甜美于一身，同时也具有张小英、欧阳菲菲的高亢，以及杨小萍、包娜娜、徐小凤的浑厚。黄晓君的歌曲因其发音吐字清晰、准确，以及对歌曲诠释的理解和把握都十分到位，因此深受广大歌迷的喜爱。
她在两个唱片公司灌制过唱片，早期在马来西亚的快乐唱片机构共出专集32集，后来跳槽到马来西亚丽风（乐风）唱片公司，在丽风共出专集21集。1983年，黄晓君淡出歌坛，直到1998年又灌制了一张唱片《回家的心》，成为她的收山之作。
