Finally, a reactor who enjoys Sir Robin’s musical troupe as much as I do… first, singing about all the ways he’s gonna be maimed and killed… and then singing about what a coward he is… 🤣
A historical point. During sieges in the Medieval period attackers WOULD catapult animals into the castle, including cows. They were usually already dead, though.
One thing I noticed on repeated viewings is during the scene where Lancelot storms the castle and is killing everyone. He kills some of the May dancers. The ones he didn’t kill keep dancing.
this would have to be my favourite reaction to this movie by far, the tears in your eyes from laughing so hard took me back 30 yrs to when I first watched this movie as a stoned 19yr old, laughed so hard thought I was going to wet myself..still do😂😂😂 glad you’ve found the boys😁
"What's a newt?" A small lizard. Technically an amphibian not a lizard, but if you saw one you'd say "that's a small lizard!" "Wow somebody actually drew that" Check out Hieronymus Bosch, painted lots of weird stuff in the 1500s. Most of the monty python cartoons (done by Terry Gilliam) are old renessainace paintings cut up.
The artist and animator for this film was Terry Gilliam, who also was the "coconut clapper" for King Arthur, as well as being the co-director of the movie. Incidentally, he was the only American member of the group.
The best bit of this reaction for me was you cracking up to the minstrels singing the various ways that brave Sir Robin might die, and his look back at them. I have always cracked up at that part but many of the other reactions to this video never do. So I am glad to see someone else enjoy that part as much as i do.
This was a very low budget film, so they could not afford horses, which is why they used coconut shells for the clippety clip. They just took it one step further, and showed the people doing it on screen.
I find the insult "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!" to be one of the peak roasts of all time. *Edit:* Also, the "Let's not go to Camelot" and singing prince bits are both pokes at the 1960's musical "Camelot" which took itself way too seriously.
It's a peak roast because if you know the background, it gets even FUNNIER. You see - Rich people drank wine made from grapes. Peasants often drank... well... whatever they could ferment. Elderberries being a popular CHEAP source (they were all around). So that insult is "you can't even afford proper wine, you peasant!" And your mother was a Hamster... Well, rodents breed... pretty fast and pretty frequently. So that insult is "Your mother is promiscuous! (Or - your mother is a whore.)" A couple of the Pythons actually knew medieval history as a hobby. So - not quite experts. But they knew what to look for and where to find the information. And most everything in this film that might seem interestingly accurate... Really IS accurate in many cases! Including the INSULTS! 🤣🤣
Ah yes..that twisted British humor.🇬🇧 I actually love it but there are some people who just don't get it😞 It is so freaking funny to me! Monty Python had a huge influence on comedy overall. Enjoyed the reaction Will 🤓👍
I just recalled that there’s an episode of Monty Python’s TV show (Flying Circus) that actually used a cop-out gag as well… a pretty famous one that includes the Argument Clinic sketch. Every sketch in the show kept ending with a detective from Scotland Yard’s Special Film Division showing up to arrest some phony director, and at the very end of the episode the detective says they’re being arrested for violating the “Getting Out of Sketches without Using a Proper Punchline Act”… noting that they’ve ended every sketch by just having a policeman show up, realizing he’s a policeman who’s ending that sketch and getting arrested by another cop who immediately is also arrested… and the episode ends on a presumably infinite loop of cops arresting other cops. 🤣
The way he weighed the witch was how they really did it back then, even during the Salem witch trials here in the states. This is one of the most quoted comedy movies in history.
The owner of the "killer rabbit" was apparently none too happy, since the Python boys failed to explain their intentions, and returned him covered in the fake blood that was so integral to the scene.
I used to watch this movie with my friends, VHS times, saw it hundred times and laughed our asses of... every time... Monty Python are pure gold. Mexico in tha house ! good times
This has to be the greatest reaction to this movie I've ever seen on youtube. And i've seen quite a few. This has been my top monty python movie for more than 40 years, and I love the insanity.
I've been a fan of this movie for decades. In the last year, as "reaction" channels have proliferated, I've watched several reactions to this classic film, and it's very specific brand of humor. Some people "get" Monty Python humor, and for others it doesn't seem to really resonate with them. You clearly appreciated it! It was so fun watching your eyes as you saw each new twist and visual gag; heard each new ridiculous line. Your laughter was infectious; truly a pleasure to watch you enjoy this film that I and my fellow Python fans have enjoyed so well. I'm gonna subscribe to your channel right now, and look forward to watching more of your reactions.
The funny thing was when you told the movie to stop its nonsense. Because in some Monty Python's sketches/skits have a military person who stops them because he finds them too weird or nonsense. Great reaction!
Anyone, from around the world, that manages to understand the beauty of absurdity being a healthy part of British comedy, is getting a "subscribed" from me. That will be my modus operandum going forward. The initial bemusement and half laughing turning into a wave of dopamine hits is a seriously beautiful thing.
This is one of my Top 10 All Time comedies. I could never paint myself into a corner by saying one comedy is the best of all time...so I like to say add this one to the List of the greatest of all time.
That comic book behind you was the first comic book I ever purchased. "Madame Hydra" and her green and yellow "Minions" against "Cap" and "Rick Jones" in the sewer system of N.Y.C.
This was a great reaction! Finally someone who actually enjoyed the film without the fake laughs. Really good. Keep it real. I'll check your chanel out again for sure.
I’ve watched this movie many many many times. Your laughter had me laughing with you the whole time! Now you gotta watch the other Montey Python movies. There is “The Life of Brian” “The Meaning of Life” and “And Now For Something Completely Different”.
I saw part of this a long time ago! I was laughing so much to the guy clapping the coconuts together behind the guy acting as though he was riding on a horse that I had to run to the bathroom. Lol

Great reaction brother ✌️ By the way with Python..it’s absolutely re-watchable because you start to notice subtle details that are also hilarious.
I love "rug pull" endings. You're sitting there wondering what the heck happened and then it hits you you've been gotten. I found this movie hilarious but it's the little throwaway gags that always get me. In this movie, it was the one lackadaisical guard calling "hey" many seconds after Lancelot killed his partner and ran past him into the castle. In Airplane! it was the soldier gifting his girlfriend with a broken watch. I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction.
Oh man, I remember creasing up laughing at brave Sir Robin’s minstrel singing that song when I first saw it as well! 😂🤣😂 Your reaction was priceless - I’ve watched it over and over just to laugh along with you. Thumbs up my man!!

"The Incredible Hulk" (introducing Canada's Weapon X?) Was that the one that introduced "Wendigo?" (Don't worry newbies, I doubt you'll ever see an MCU "Wendigo.")
1. What about the moose? 2. In the credits they talk about the moose. 3. The first time I saw this was in the back of a pickup with my siblings and a couple of friends. 4. Perfect Monty Python where you can just get sucked into something where you don't have to think about anything and just let yourself go. 5. "What ya gonna do? Bleed on me." 🤣 6. I like this reviewer; he laughs at bits others miss. George Harrison of The Beatles funded this movie from his own pocket bcz he liked the project so much and ''wanted to see the movie''.
No, that was Life of Brian. This one mostly got funding from the BBC, which is why the budget was so low. You can really tell the difference when the Python crew got serious budget to work with.
bro its is a funny Python movie. their best work is The life of Brian it makes much more sense. The ending on this movie was so abrupt because they ran out of ideas and money. thought still falls into Python style usually left scratching your head.

The artist and animator for this film was Terry Gilliam, who also was the "coconut clapper" for King Arthur, as well as being the co-director of the movie. Incidentally, he was the only American member of the group.
Thus why he mostly didn't speak in most of the skits and parts he played. The American accent would've been distracting.

“ I got better…..”
