This is a family if plants my collection is very poor in. I think I have only a couple of senecios. String of pearls is one. I used to see this plant planted in succulent beds in California. I didn't realize they had such rhizomes!!! Very interesting !! Good idea tying them up.looks like they like to do like my Euphorbia mammilaris variagata. Lay on other plants and spread out!! Thanks for sharing Daz!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, have a wonderful weekend ahead!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🥀🍀🌹🌴🌻🌳💐🌱🌸🌾🌷🪴🌿😃👍
Thank you so much, Clyde 😊 Yeah this is the only Senecio I have in the collection, but there’s several others I’d like to get. Really hope it flowers this year. The repotting certainly seems to have done them good. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend. Have a wonderful day and upcoming weekend from Edith & myself to you and Deb 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
Thank you so much, Ziggy 😊 They’re doing awesome now they’ve been repotted. Hopefully that’ll encourage them to flower this year as well. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend. Have a wonderful evening from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌸🌼🏜
Absolutely love the video, Daz! I have never seen a plant like that. I appreciate the way you explain what you're doing and also why. Very helpful for someone like me. I love repotting videos too. The cameras used was excellent. I like the two views. The shoots peeking out at the end were adorable. Awesome video all around! Sending you and Edith peace, love and happiness for a nice evening and a Fantastic Friday from your friend in Georgia!
Thank you so much, Jeff 😊 Senecio are pretty cool plants, this is the only one I have but there are a few more I’d like to add. Seems these have become a little bit less common here now, though. Glad you enjoyed the video and with the extra camera angles. Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌸🌼🏜
This reminded me that I need the Senecio haworthii, I think you should check that one for your collection too 🤭. Such a beautiful genus of plants and with stunning flowers 🌺. PS. Loved the different camera angles in this video!
Thank you so much, Irina 😊 Yeah that’s one I’d like to add to the collection. I’ll keep a look out for one. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌺🌸🌼🏜
thank you so much for your channel; recently i had to cut and try to propagate these guys because of root rot, and I was so worried I was doing it wrong. this video is so informative :)
Well done on your first try with 2 cams and angles, Sweetheart! 😍 Thank you for always finding ways to improve/update your skills. I enjoyed seeing 2 angles. I wonder if you could do with 3 cams…🤔 It’s amazing how this plant grows so fast. It needed repotting badly! You stole 1 of mum’s bowls! 😂
Thank you so much my love 🥰 Enjoyed using the two cameras, although editing it all together was a little awkward lol. Yeah they needed a repot desperately. Hopefully they’ll flower later this year. Haha I didn’t steal it, I borrowed it 😅 Enjoyed watching with you as always babe. Thank you for all your love, support and encouragement ❤️🤗😘🌵❤️
A nice little vid with lot's going on. A new plant for me (as all are lol) And so a couple of questions if I may, would You say that your usual mix is your universal Mix for 95 percent of all cactus and succulents, And as you got a great result after three weeks Did the reports stay in!or stay under a grow Light for that amount of time. Did you water In anyway in that three weeks, as always keep up the good work, Bill.
Thank you so much, Bill 😊 Yeah I’d say this is the mix I use for 90% to 95% of my plants. These were put back onto a south facing window for now, but will go into the greenhouse next week. They’ve been watered once since being repotted. Thank you for watching and commenting as always. Have a wonderful day and upcoming weekend from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜
Thank you so much, Magda 😊 Mine was a bit neglected too haha. For the forward facing camera it’s just a regular tripod. For the new top down camera I use what’s called an octopus tripod, you can twist the legs into any position. I have an L shaped metal bar attached to the table that I’ve clamped the camera to. Thanks for watching and commenting as always, Magda. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
I just bought one and one of the stems just fell over and when I grabbed it it came right out and is mushy on the bottom. I just popped it right back into the soil after cutting off the mushy part. Not sure if I should have let it callous first. Will it root in the dirt again?
It should do. These are pretty tough plants and I've rooted cuttings of it without letting the wound callous in the past. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜

I bought Senecio Mweroensis from an online shop, but when I received it it was broken into three parts, can it still be saved? Thanks
I don't personally have that one, but if it's anything like stapeliiformis then the pieces should root up. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀🌼🌺🌸🏜
do they grow from. the cut egde as well?
They do. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
Did you water the 5 propagations right after placing them in their new pots?
Pretty much, to encourage root growth. These rooted up very quickly. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌺🌼🏜
