    Don’t normally comment on UA-cam but I just felt I had to share my experience with an inversion table.When I first got one of these inversion tables I tried it at 60 degrees and I found my back felt worse.After a few days I decided to go fully vertical and noticed an immediate and huge improvement in my lower back.So as the video shows - experiment until you find the angle that works best for you.

    Just got mine tonight and after 3 minutes you get off and go to stand and it just feel so different.....my S.I. joints and hips and lower back ussually are on fire all the time....the ability to just feel that fire go away instantly is just amazing.
    Ive used it 3 times tonight and am now laying in bed and i feel so relaxed.
    I went full inversion and was able to get some amazing twists in.
    Very well made. Assembly and adjustment are well thought out and designed...didnt need instructions to figure out what few bolts went where.
    Well balanced once I configured it for my height and weigh.
    This will be part of my daily routine now.
    Money well spent if it saves me from having to medicate with tons of weed.
    Glad i didnt cheap out and buy a different brand.

    I just turned 74 years old, and I am suffering with lower back pain SI or sciatic pain. I have been to my orthopedist, who replaced both of my knees from osteoarthritis six years ago. He took x-rays of my back & knees, and has confirmed that it is not a problem with my hip, but it is a nerve compression problem either sciatic or SI joint. As a result, I have made arrangements with a local pain management group to have pain injections done next week. I just bought the teeter inversion bed, set it up and I’m ready to start using it. What is the maximum amount of time you can use this for at one time, and how many times a day can you use it for maximum results?

    Hi - any advice on frequency and how long each time? Seems like 60 degrees is recommended

    • @TeeterFitness
      @TeeterFitness  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Archana, we recommend starting at a shallow angle (just below horizontal) for 3-5 minutes. As your body feels comfortable with inversion, you can progress to deeper angles, eventually coming to 60 degrees. We recommend sticking with 3-5 minutes each time. Frequency is more important than duration, so it's better to do two or three 3-5 minute sessions per day than just one 6+ minute session.

    By far the best video introducing the Teeter inversion table. I share this video with everyone. Riley is awesome and incredibly inspiring! I've been using my table 2x/day for about 4 weeks. What a huge difference! I gradually increase the degree of inversion, exploring & rejoicing my new range every time. Important to learn how to control the table with gentle arm movements. This allows you to trust and leg go of areas that are holding/clenching. What a wonderful way to find freedom & ease.

    When I'm on the table I'm concerned about stresses to my knees...what do you do with your knees, are they bent or locked, when inverted?

    • @TeeterFitness
      @TeeterFitness  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Aaron, your legs are typically straight when inverted but your body gets used to the inversion. We recommend starting at a shallow angle of inversion and progressing to a deeper angle only as you (and your knees) feel comfortable. If you have a condition that may be worsened by added mechanical stress to the knees, we ask that you please consult your doctor before trying inversion. I made by own inversion table over 40 years ago. Also used gravity boots . After 2 weeks in the hospital in traction. The orthopaedic doctor said to stop working on semi trucks.
    I like the inversion table and still use it . But I also done thousands of hanging knee pull ups from a chin up bar. Which is also very effective if you can do them to build a strong core . I also do P90x paloties 😊. Oh I also retired as a truck mechanic 8 years ago. With very little back issues. If you are going to get over back problems you need to build a strong core.
    Also I use a Nada chair every morning. It's very effective relief for a sore back.

    Hi Rylie, I need your help, please.
    I bought the 960 a few months ago and I have recently put it into the third hole from the handle, (I’m 160 pounds). I’m trying to get full inversion so I can be hanging totally upside down, which I am now doing. But, the only way I can stay in that position is by keeping ahold of the bar near the floor and holding it very tight with both hands. As a result, I don’t get to relax and enjoy my stretch, nor can I concentrate on using the handles to encourage a further stretch.
    Do you know what I’ve done wrong, or is this as it’s supposed to be? I had envisioned hanging totally upside down without having to work so hard at keeping myself there.
    Thank you so much in advance! The Teeter has re-created a pain-free world for me and I’m very grateful!
    Doug

    • @TeeterFitness
      @TeeterFitness  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Doug, the roller hinge hole "C" furthest from the handle is actually the least responsive and would make it difficult to stay in full inversion. I would recommend going to the middle hole. Be sure to have a spotter with you when testing this. Once in the middle hole, you can test different height settings (your exact height and 1-2 inches below or above it) to find that perfect balance. The hole closest to the handle is the most responsive and would be the next suggestion, but I believe the center hole should help you get the perfect balance.

      If you listen to your body and progress slowly as your body is getting used to the sensation, you shouldn't feel any ankle discomfort. Feel free to contact our customer service team if you have any questions about ankle comfort or how to use an inversion table.

      Yea that seems to be the only design flaw with inversion tables. I have one myself but I can never seem to hang upside down long enough to really relieve tension in my back because my ankles start to lose blood and become numb and tingly. Perhaps if the designed a table that would somehow attach at the pelvis or waist muscles since that part of our bodies can hold all our weight without discomfort.

      @@bryanodell2679 Hi Bryan, our previous comment about progressing slowly would apply to you as well, but I would also recommend looking into the Teeter DEX II. This is a decompression device that decompresses your back without the need to invert your lower body.

    My model Teeter (I just bought used) is a bit older. How do I set the balance point? When I invert, I'm head heavy and find it difficult to get back up. Thanks?

    • @TeeterFitness
      @TeeterFitness  3 роки тому

      Hi Ray, if you find it to be head heavy and difficult to return upright, we would recommend selecting a height setting 1-2 inches longer than you currently have it.

    I bought an inversion table and finally finished assembling it today. I got in it just fine, I could "teeter totter" just fine, but when it went all the way down, I could not get back up. I had to force myself to fall out of it and I cracked my skull on the frame.
    I had very high hopes for this device. I really did. I have such excruciating back pain and I wanted this to help.

    • @dlg5485

      This is why you need to learn how to use these things properly before jumping in the saddle, by watching videos, reading articles, etc. So many people think they can buy an inversion table and immediately do full inversion for a half hour, which is utterly ridiculous. You have to ease into inversion therapy! This is on you for not doing your homework up front.
      Inversion therapy can work for you, but you MUST start slow. Only do 45 degree inversion for 3 min twice a day for the first week. Then increase to 5 min for a week, then gradually increase inversion angle up to full 90 deg over a couple more weeks. Take it slow!

    mine isn't working anymore, about two years ago I was using it regularly and then I went overseas did a few tours and I just got back and I moved so we took it apart put it back together and no matter how I set the height as I put my arms up once I get to a completely vertical position the feet swing over my head really hard and no matter what I do I can't get it to come back up luckily I'm in shape and I can manually pull myself up and pull it back down but I don't know what to do to fix it.
