  • In this video, we will go over in detail how I utilize my daily planner to boost my productivity and not only hit professional goals, but personal goals as well. Using a daily planner will help you get intentional and focused about whats important in your life.
    We dont want to get lost in the productivity wheel and forget about ourselves, so make time for you! I would encourage you to try this method for a couple of weeks to see the results for yourself. I think it will surprise you at just how effective it is. 😊
    Here is the exact same planner I use -
    amzn.to/3K4rmBL (JULY 2023-JUNE 2024)
    amzn.to/4bo0Hvh (JAN 2024- JAN 2025)

    Pro-tip: Just use a single sheet of A4, create a table, 8am to 6pm in 15 min increments, 3 columns, Time, Done, Scheduled. Put everything you regularly do, figure out your actual time and schedule. Tick it off as the day ticks by, adjust as necessary. I have another little 7 part table at the top, reminding me what days I work out, do laundry etc. Soon you'll have a realistic but controlled schedule, which will boost your productivity through the roof. Thank me later

      @@Yconboy Actually I've improved on it, and it now has 4 columns. You can do this, just make a new Word doc, hit enter a couple of times so you have space above for other stuff, then create a table with 4 columns and 42 rows. 1st column is the time in 15 min increments, like 9.00, 9.15, 9.30 etc. 2nd column, enter things to schedule. For example my 1st entry is "Record weight, refill water jug". The 3rd column I leave blank, so I can fill it in, either with Word or by pen. For example between 10.45 to 11.15 I have 'Exercise' scheduled. In that 3rd column I put which exercise, such as "Arms and back" or "Legs and core" etc. The final. 4th column I make very narrow, and just use as tick boxes to tick off what I've done. If you can't follow your own schedule then you need to reassess it, or reassess your priorities, behavior or whatever. The important bit is to try to follow it, tweak and adjust, and remember "A to-do list without a schedule is evil." :)

    Thank you for this very pragmatic and didactic video which puts things back into perspective.
    I don't know how many systems I used... beautiful (and expensive) planners with stickers, which I was done after one month if not less... Digital planner which didn't work either, I love handwriting and the smell of paper!
    Today, I use one simple big planner with left page for work and right page for personal. It has nothing special except enabling me to reach my goals.
    From an artistic standpoint, I enjoy bullet journaling which is a totally free space for drawing, journaling, painting, scribbling during a boring meeting...
    I don't know how many videos I saw with beautiful and perfect settings probably linked to a lot of money spent in stationary material... The simpler the better. Thank you for sharing. Your video was refreshing.

    • @frankiemolinelli
      @frankiemolinelli  6 місяців тому +1

      @@frankiemolinelli Bullet journaling is great when you have your own artistic skills and not the stickers ones !
      I always enjoy using my bullet journal which doesn't serve any organizational goal, but simply a great space for art, discharging my emotions, writing some crazy ideas... Numbers, whether they are used for painting or anything else are really not my friends at all !

    I loved this video. It never occurred to me to split the page for work/personal. I am starting a nonprofit thrift store but still a working single mom with a lot of tasks in both areas. It waa frustrating even though i have a catch all planner and a business planner. it was hard with my adhd brain to see the whole picture of tasks and it was lagging out my productivity because i changed gears so much. I tried the split page and found a few tasks could even be batched together to save time. Thanks for the great tip! A new subscriber and fan! Please keep making more videos! I brain dump daily and every Sunday I go through that list to see where I can place those tasks. My biggest problem with implementing this is not knowing how you prioritize your list, make time for it, and navigate through it throughout the day. I am also overwhelmed by what to do if I fall behind on work that was listed on Tuesday and it’s a Thursday now and new matters have come up. How do I reprioritize my list and then walk through it?

      Here is At a Glance's site for their complete selection www.ataglance.com/
      Here is the updated one I use. Please note it is a july-july planner. Not a standard Jan-Dec

    It's a nice planner, but you forgot to mention that it's only good for July to July. Who starts their year in July? Why doesn't it start like normal planners? I almost made the mistake of buying it. Read the fine print.

    • @frankiemolinelli
      @frankiemolinelli  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback and comment. If you visit the At-a-Glance website, they actually do have this exact planner in a Jan-Dec(when not sold out) format as well as a July-July. As far as what a "normal" planner is....that really depends on the person and what they like. A lot of people start their year in July. I don't believe in arbitrarily starting my "year" in January just because society says so. Goals and schedules change...I like a mid year planner and also breaking down goals quarterly....but you have to find the one that works for you. Thanks for checking out the video!

      An interesting perspective! Some of the most successful people in the world that I admire, continue to support the claim about writing down your goals and planning your week. This system has continued to help me achieve what's important in my life like exercise, professional tasks, meetings, life goals, family time, & rest. etc.. Thank you for sharing your thoughts however! All the best 😊
