I feel for Derek as I am in basically the same situation, building all my friends cars always comes first before mine. Yet I feel more satisfaction in doing this. My build will take alot longer, but getting to watch my friends happy and driving is worth the set back. I get to see my children progress in the end.
@@AmokCanuck I bought my miata from a mechanic. I thought "oh fuck yes, it's going to be pristine." I soon learned that he abused the shit out of it, lol. Didn't care for it at all. I had to fix so much stuff. Still need to replace the ball joints. But when I think about it, 2 years ago, before I owned the car, I didn't even know how to drive manual or change my oil. Because of the condition it was in, I've had to learn to replace almost everything in that car by myself. It encouraged me to gain more knowledge. I finished a timing belt/waterpump job a couple weeks ago and I'm going to do my clutch soon. I can pretty much (outside an engine rebuild) take complete care of my car all by myself, without relying on someone else. I could do it to my standard of patience and quality control that isn't costing me by the hour. Long winded comment, but I'm thankful for the condition it was in. It made me self sufficient.
@@squidikka dude props on you, the most I can do is change oil and brakes and that's only because of auto class. I've been looking at project cars lately and I found a old 69 bug that's in beautiful condition, just the engine and other shit needs to be installed. I'm scared to get it for my first project but I could gain some really valuable experience and like you end up grateful for the condition I got it in. I'm definitely gonna have to give it some thought.
In my opinion, get something that runs and drives for a first project. That way u can actually enjoy the car and want to make it better/learn about it. But I get ya guys. Gotta start somewhere and for me it was in basic autos and since then, I've learned welding to wiring even body work plus much more. Yet it all started with a clapped out 240sx years ago
I like the 940, that's a cool twist to the group. Same reasons why I got a Volvo; cheap (for the most part), indestructible, and somehow iconic for the sheer fact that they're literal bricks. Very cool group!
Love this little mini doc on a crew, great story and vibes. So stylish with all the white. The Volvo suits being green as it already sticks out from all the jdm lol
As teenager from sweden i se à LOT of Volvo 940s and it’s really nice to see one on one of your videos , but according to me they can look stunning in white with the right wheels
Really liking this form of videos. It shows the journey of people building their dream cars and could even inspire people to build their cars. Keep it up!
Aaaaay a Volvo 940 Turbo! I tell ya these bricks are the next big RWD turbo whip to rise. It has the 80's boxy kinda japanese styling, some very unique swedish flair, very strong build quality and a big tuning scene. It's one of the cheapest ways to get yourself a nice driving RWD turbo car! Anyway great video, love your content!
very dope! i am proud of you, that something like this is in Poland :) I wish we have some of this culture in Slovakia. xxx....Cheers from East Slovakia!

Those guys are living the life! So many cool cars. I only feel bad for the FC RX-7, she deserves better than a 1.8 Miata engine. RB swap from skyline would have been a better choice imo.
@@NIGHTRIDEPL Literally swap any piston engine in a Mazda rx series car and it just drastically ruins the handling of the car, rotaries are extremely light engines and yes they are very unreliable but they are the the heart and soul of these rx cars and its what makes them so much fun to drive but then drive one with a piston engine and its just meh 😕 It is not my RX7 tho if it keeps Damian happy then idc just giving my opinion on the swap But seriously if he wants to drastically improve the cars handing then he should consider a wankel rotary engine!
