After a long day of touring the beautiful DouroXperience with some wine tasting... (not good for my voice) lol then followed by a 3 hr freezing train back to Oporto my throat was beginning to swell.... I was asked to perform... was quite nerve wracking...especially in a fado club... where the greats perform...was so much fun! Hope to return soon! Love to everyone at Santo Fado... and Claudia Madeira for her graciousness and beautifully inspiring performance. Thank you to Herman Alves for filming the impromptu appearance and for an amazing time exploring the mainland. Thank you brother for your beautiful spirit and enabling me to make some new friends in the homeland!

My dad was the guy who could fix anything. We used to kid him because so many "widow women" would call him to fix things at their houses. He was a man who angered slowly and laughed quickly. I lost him to Alzheimer's. I miss him so much sometimes. This is indeed a song to hold the heart of those who we have lost.

Last Monday night 9/23, I lived this song almost word for word as my partner of 57 years squeezed my hand as he released an took his last breath. He was so weak he couldn't raise his hands to his chest, but three times before he left, he lifted his arms up toward the ceiling with his hands open. I know he could see something or someone coming to take him home and free him from the constant pain. I know he is at peace now. Remi's solo version of Angels Calling fits this song perfectly. I lost my dad & auntie on the same day an hour apart in 2014, my beloved dog 2015 one of my dear friend when he was 26, my boyfriend when he was 30, my nan last April 2020 & step dad a month & 1 day after after my nan this song always brings back memories of them, they are all loved & missed so much. Can't believe my good luck, another joyful night being serenaded by Remigio Pereira! Even with throat problems, you pull out a great performance; I've seen it happen many times. Don't know HOW you do it; you're TOUGH! Most singers cancel. I keep wondering if these folks will realize one day what they witnessed, and how lucky they were to be there at that point and time to see you in person.

My dad passed away in May of last year and my mom joined him this past February... an angel who called another. This brought tears to my eyes, yet brought me much comfort.
