Why put the music in boxes. Real music has no genre and often cannot be put in a box, but rather has its own box. It feels like a mix of different types of music. but there are very great musicians behind this who certainly know what they are doing. and if you combine a good voice with world musicians, something great will emerge... you have music, but you also have music. there's nothing wrong with that. it's where your preference lies haha so there is something for everyone

@@definitelytherealsaitama6986 I mean, hey man that’s your opinion but I disagree and that’s okay 🤷🏾♂️. I think her writing is really good. Furthermore if we’re talking about this specific track, I don’t think she wrote it. I know she wrote for all the other tracks on her Habits album with a few other writers but not this track. This had like Trevor Brown and Zaire Koalo from The Orphanage writing on it. And they’re great writers too, they’ve written for Lizzo, Demi Lovato, Sabrina Carpenter etc… I find people become over critical with smaller up and coming artists because there’s this idea that being a smaller artist equates to being “not as good” at certain aspects of the craft which is entirely untrue. It’s very seldom that you find ONE writer on songs these days and I find it unfair that people will sometimes subconsciously judge the quality of an artist’s songwriting based on how big they are as an artist. You’ll likely find the same people calling certain songs or artists trash, would be praising those same songs for their “unique writing qualities” had they been performed by a bigger artist. That’s just my take 🙌🏾.
