The light blue colored Pyrex refrigerator dishes are what my Mamaw had and used. My heart has cried out loud with joy and memories seeing these pieces again. I look for such things today to bring back into my world a familiar past which comforts these more trying times. Also, hunting up old stuff that I really like is a fun hobby..."EXCESS"ively Fun!!! ...Most of all being surrounded by the past enlivens my life and future. My family was everything to me. ...Thank you, Scott, for your wonderful show and explorations and bringing a personality which naturally relates to a wide world so easily. ...Keep On Keeping On!!!
Curtis your comments are a joy to ready and please know that I DO read and appreciate each one. God bless you!
I love all the mugs! I love milkglass and colors!!
That big clunky teapot looks like a wrist breaker, but l am sure someone who collects it will be thrilled to get one. You could have a coffee chat with all those coffee cups. Salem must love all the activities. I hope you find lots of treasures in every store and flea market. 😇🍎🐦😇🍎🐦😇🍎🐦😇🍎🐦😇🍎🐦😇🍎🐦😇🍎🐦😇🍎🐦😇🍎🐦😇🍎🐦😇🍎🐦🍎🐦😇🍎🐦😇🍎🐦🍎🐦😇🍎🐦😇🍎🐦😇
I have th3 same Jeannette powder jar. Belonged to my grandmother. Love it! Have bought and sold many with various animals but definitely keeping my Grandmas. Fun haul!
I love The Curiosity Shop.... I have subscribed to many collector's thrifting and hauls' pages...You are my favorite...You are knowledgeable, informative, and funny...I am jealous of the various Goodwill Stores you visit ..They are huge and very well organized ..Here in Chicago the stores are smaller and treasures are hard to find...Maybe one day...
Wow, thank you! So very kind of you. I'm thrilled you enjoy old stuff as much as I do!
Hi love watching you , how do i get to your shop i would love to buy a few things thank you ,
Chicago Lady He’s my favorite too! My first to watch everyday!
After 3 months in quarantine, I donned my mask and went antiquing. I got such an adrenaline rush that it made me laugh! Found lots of goodies too!
Oh wow ! I have my moms exact powder jar that she inherited and gave to me when she had to downsize and move to assisted . She always called it a candy jar but I can see how it was a powder. I use it to put my jewelry in mainly just as it’s been in our family so long. You should do well with your refrigerator set . I have sold a few pieces of that in gooseberry and it didn’t stay in my store long . The Butterprint or Dutch Is pretty popular. Also I don’t know what your experience has been but ever since we have been selling (2000) the majority of my fire king or anchor or Pyrex mugs sell to Japan . Great haul !
Hi Scott. I tried using one of my Fire King mugs. My hand got so hot that I couldn't hold the cup until the tea cooled down. I guess that would be good thing up north in the winter but down here, no thanks to that much heat. Thanks for the video. Loved seeing them all.
Love that cat! You're OK, too.
Drooling over that tea kettle! You luck cat! I had never seen that one before. I love it.
Scott, I hope that Patrick from THM will interview you one day. You have so much talent.
Oh you are so kind.
Salem is an expert in Quality Control. I trust he has had this position for a good number of years now. Good job, Salem!
The Jeanette iridescent glass deer powder jars are beautiful! I wouldn’t have guessed their original purpose.
Short and sweet, doesn't matter, they're all enjoyable visits!
The powder jars are pretty! I would’ve walked right past them in a thrift store. I learn so many things from you. I love how you explain each of your items before you list them. Salem is such a active cat for his age. You are the best cat Dad!! Love and hugs to you and sweet sweet Salem!
I have never seen one of those tea kettles and I have been antiquing and thrifting a long time!
Michelle Raney My thoughts exactly!
Good evening Scott ❤
The wheat mugs are wonderful. My grandfather had a metal sheaf of wheat pinned inside his casket. I can remember that image at age eight. ♥️
Nice little haul love it Scott thanks for sharing the video UA-cam brother ❤🖒 xoxox stay safe and bless
Isn't that crazy? I just saw one of those red checked milk glass mugs on eBay that said "Scott" on it. :D
If no one else has expressed interest in the Ziggy mug, I am. I like the clunky teapot because I have never seen it before.
Awe Frank....someone else got there first. But I'll find another one for you!
Wow those bring back memories, I still have some of them from my parents, lots of fire king, both in white & jadite. My sister bought the yellow mug for me with a matching bowl in the 70's bc I liked yellow. The print on that one mug is gingham, but italian table cloth pattern works too😃 I see the little quality control supervisor is doing a great job as usual.❤
Hi. Scott, I love the powder jars.
Ohhhhhhh. The iridescent one🤩
Hi Scott❣️❣️❣️ Lots of mugs😂 I love your quality control dept !!!
Wow what a haul. Love every piece
Oh my gosh... I used to have a red checkered mug with my name in blue too ! Brings back memories of hot chocolate, Yum ! ( note: I'm 58 )
The print on the red and white mug is gingham! 🤗
My mom has that powder dish, she said they came in Laundry detergent ?
I forgot to say in your last thrifting video that my mother had that deer powder jar. May have even belonged to my grandmother. I remember one ear was chipped. Not sure that it's still among my mother's things in her old house. But I cherish the memory of it, because it reminds me of her. She passed away 5 years ago.
Of course Salem must inspect everything brought into his house. Nice little haul. That tea kettle is unusual. That is the first one I have ever seen. Have a blessed day.
Love the tea kettle and the Jeanette powder boxes. So glad you’re able to be out thrifting again. I will say though I loved your videos of Philadelphia. The city should hire you to advertise for tourism. You’ve made me want to visit Philadelphia. Stay safe & well.
Im so happy your back to thrifting ive missed that i always look forward to seeing you and Salem
Nice kitchen counter haul. Salem gives his 110% Quality Control everytime. GREAT VIDEO AND GREAT CONTENT. THUMBS-UP ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!
So nice of you to give your fans a quick counter top review. All the other videos I watch never do. We are lucky to get one a week. I have never seen a Corning tea kettle. It looks heavy. Thank you again. God Bless.
Nice mugs!
What are the refrigerator dishes price
They are all up for auction in my Ebay store. Currently, 2 of them have bids. If you are interested, I'd be thrilled for you to visit my store. Here is the link: www.ebay.com/str/scottsoldcuriosityshop
Thank you it’s that I got 2 of the smaller ones
Yes that is a dumpy looking tea kettle. First one I’ve seen.
Love your supervisor, 🐱👍
The tea kettle is fun. I've not seen one like it
I would love the shamrock mugs.
Cbroaddus1976@gmail.com
Wonderful! I'll contact you later today. Thanks a bunch.
Have never seen a Corning pot like that; it IS clunky.
I have never come across the tea kettle either.
you are working Salem too hard, give him a bonus.
I grew up with "cornflower blue" everything & have never seen THAT BIG CLUNKY TEA POT...
Love Salem’s meow, that’s the noise I get in the middle of the night when Coco ( black male) comes in soaking wet and I have to get up and dry him with a hand towel. Who’s the boss here ? Not me.😎🇫🇷❤️
I must admit, this is the first Scott haul in which nothing caught my eye! I think having grown up in the 70s I just see that as boring old stuff my Mom had, but if the kids like it, great!
I AM A OLE' ZIGGY FAN I' D LIKE HIS MUG FOR $5.00
Awesome and thank you. If you will just contact me by my email we can close the deal! oldcuriosityshop99@gmail.com

❤️🐱❤️🐱❤️🐱❤️🐱❤️🐱
First one !!!
Be careful with letting Salem in the thrift store bags. Cats can get covid too!
No, fortunately they can't, so he's safe.😊 It may seem like corona virus is new, but its not, we've had other strains before, such as SARS. Covid19 is just a new strain to us. Cats do get a corona virus (there are many different strains) but it's a different strain than covid 19 & not transmittable to us or any other species. Virtually every cat that has ever been outside has been exposed to it, it's only a problem for young kittens or very old cats, but most cats regardless of age never have a problem with it. The symptoms are weepy eyes & runny nose & an antibiotic easily takes care of it for them.
