We stayed a night at The Lakehouse, enjoying the respites from the harried city life, feeling like we had teleported into the English countryside.
The hotel opened to guests in 1970. We are attracted by the raved reviews on the internet and decided to stay here for a night.
This video is an honest review of The Lakehouse and shows you all you can expect from this hotel.

Truly classic.a just visit place for relaxation.
Just loved the colonial ambience of the Lake house, natural greenery and crisp clear pictures not to mention your explanations for all these.
I was also enthralled on seeing an HMV gramophone.
Truly classic, almost untouched by time.

Hi, would you recommend smokehouse or lakehouse more? Certain factors I am considering 1. Room - which is more luxurious/comfortable 2. Temperature - is lakehouse not as cool as smokehouse? 3. Food - quality and price

I actually wanted to book my stay in smokehouse hotel but I think the staffs sounded unfriendly to my inquiries. Now I am thinking to book lakehouse hotel instead. The lakehouse hotel looks good in your video except the color of the lake which looks like dirty brown color. Is the actual lake scenery that color?
Yes the color was yellowish when I stayed there.
