Spoiler Alert: Miguel's lawyer gets his charge taken off, detectives have no case until bank records show that Zachary (victim) he was sending Maria monthly payments. They all had a deal for Maria to be a surrogate, Zachary threatened her that if she didn't they would be deported without the baby as it had Zachary's DNA. (Also money talks) Helen on the stand agrees with the statements because she and Miguel also had a deal that she would get him acquitted if she got to keep the baby, Maria refused. Miguel did actually kill him but due to the threat of being deported it was reduced to manslaughter, Maria fled the country and Helen's just being Helen.
"You thinkin how that baby ended up with blue eyes?, yeah".🤣🤣
Many have blue eyes when they're born. Pigment doesn't develop until later.
@@Maniac742 Then why did I have brown eyes the minute I was born? lol
Most babies do have blue eyes at birth. The pigmentation is usually fully developed for their true eye color by 3 months. It is very doubtful that anyone remembers what their eye color was at birth.
I always remember this actress playing the young wife. She did a great job. She didn't act in a stereotypical female way, so of course she is suspect. Her acting was good.
What is a “ stereotypical female way “ exactly ?? As a retired nurse , I can tell you everyone reacts differently to shock and grief , There is no such thing as stereotypical behaviour , female or otherwise
@@franminky7763 I believe could be wrong it’s about how in movies and tv they have a stereotype but like you said that’s annoying cuz there is no irl female way
@@franminky7763 There is a stereotypical way, meaning crying, sobbing acting helpless. Where have you been? You don't know the stereotypes about women? You misinterpreted my statement. Stereotypical doesn't mean true or right.
Beautiful 🥰Comments! Hello T S How are you doing today hope you having a 😍wonderful day
"I called him bear"
my grandfather called me that... never referred to me by my name only once a year before he passed, and it made me think I was in trouble XD (he really just wanted to know if I wanted something from McDonalds) so that line hit deep.
my Disabled cousin would rub my mom's stomach and say "baby bear" when she was pregnant with me, Pop always gave us nicknames
Yea my uncle called me bug never heard him call me ed or jr like the rest of the family.i miss uncle John and his brother Ed who was my father.
I have an uncle we called Bear. When his wife was pregnant we referred to the baby as Baby Bear. Turns out she was a girl, so she's Goldilocks.
As a medical science student, the markers are perfectly done. But remember DNA on tv shows doesn't show you about the process it takes to get done.
The Detective later becomes a step father for a Kid who will be known as the Flash!
Right! The whole reason I clicked on the vid was I saw him and was like "wait...is that?!" 😄
Briscoe is a natural with kids!
Lenny was always my favourite. There's something about Jerry Orbach that you instantly feel safe with him, despite his cynicism. I miss him and Logan. They were the best!!
This is how the police can get false confessions. They needle you, find your weak point, & then threaten you into confessing. They used his wife & baby to force him into saying he did it. This is why you stay silent & ask for a lawyer immediately. Even though he was guilty in this case, a lot of others aren’t.
Japan has a way bigger problem of that than any other country in the world
@@Batopie7327 Japan simply goes, "confess, confess, confess" with no bail.
Without additional evidence any good defense attorney is going to get that tossed as a confession under duress.
"Looks like coke but these days I ain't doing a taste test"... does this imply they used to do taste tests to figure out If its drugs?
You gotta do what you gotta do. No fancy tech back then to see what it is. That or you bring the dogs
I think it is meant to imply that narcotics now are contaminated and laced with other drugs which make them even more dangerous than normal
I just loved Ed greens face in the thumbnail LoL 🤣
I always have had such a crush on Detective Greene
"Smells like she mighta died up in here" 😂😂😂😂
Casually telling a man his wife to be is cheating and his baby ain't his.😕😐 And he don't even look like the man in the camera!
*"Aren't they all"* ...😄😂😂
Maria del Carmen, Maria Isabel(my mom and grand mom)Maria de la Purificacion, Maria de las Nieves, and these are only those I know personally. In the time of my mom and grandmom it was like all women were called Maria. I am from Spain.
Reminds me of the scene from West Side Story where Tony is running down the alley yelling for Maria.
Honestly, seriously, love this show but that's a weak confession. Any defense attorney worth their salt would call coercion in a heart beat.
"Would her name be Maria?"
"Arent they all" - LOL
Briscoe and Green and Lupo and Bernard my favorite law and order pairings
Terry Nason loves Law and Order.
Am I the only one who thinks it’s messed up they didn’t use any crime scene evidence only motive and did it without looking too deep into anything?
Motive is a huge part of it all too. Sometimes even if you have evidence, if no clear motives are formed arrests are often delayed til motives are established.
Mele Hafoka good point, makes sense. I guess I’m a bit biased toward evidence focused arrests.
this how real cops work....no witnesses, no evidence...they just pick someone and then lie and brow beat them until they confess....in the old days they use a leather sap or a night stick...I had friend that the cops just grabbed off the street in nyc, cops beat him to a pulp and left in cell...my friend was in college and had no criminal record....
So many things wrong with this episode. How can you have an official cause of death at the crime scene without doing an autopsy? How do you know the victim officially suffered from cardiac arrest without an autopsy? It's illegal to obtain a
DNA test from a minor without parental consent. That confession from Miguel was also weak.
Well I mean if the guy got shot in the chest then you can say it was a murder. If it was one to the head on their dominant side then it would be ruled a suicide. Detectives can think for themselves, autopsies are just for absolute confirmation.
"That's a big YEP."
1:08 she called him Bear or says she does. She claimed she loved him despite how she says she is not an emotional person.
Just because someone isn’t an emotional person doesn’t mean they aren’t capable of love.
can you please post full episodes ~ thanks
She looks old for 26
and that’s how you force someone into a confession.
Weeelll that was fast...i think there's still more. Episode clips usually come in 3's
This inconveniences me, so make him not dead! I demand it!
Thumbnail had me asking what's Gilbert Arenas doing in Law and Order
I love law and order
This episode was very stressful. 😂
that baby is huge 😂😂😂
We love dad Briscoe ☺
what a wife.
"he can't be dead. i'm 26. how can i be a widow? i don't know what to do."
green's face when they were talking about the blue eyes....
Wow this video was just posted! Also I have a feeling Miguel is covering up for someone else. I genuinely don't believe he did it.
The No. 1 rule in Law and Order is the first suspect didn't do it. Otherwise, each show would be over in 15 minutes.
And the plot thickens.
she said guess which1 is protected
6 weeks maternity leave for a cop??? what kind of society are you living in???
I wanna hold the baby!!! Gimme the baby
"Bear" isn't always a term of endearment...
You don't need a lab for a VHS dub.
Is that Joe west from the Flash? 😃
The whole taking one look and realizing Miguel can’t be the father is dumb. A lot of babies are born with blue eyes that then darken with age. Same with skin tone. Babies are pale
S. Epatha a.k.a Van Buren
Can't wait for The Flash tonite
Puerto Ricans are American citizens. They wouldn't need special papers.
Ms Goodwin from Chicago med....
Interesting..
I Will Miss Jerry OrBach Voice Of Lumiere
what's not to like? these people had horrible working conditions and they wanted to unionise!
"You picked the wrong woman"..😂..
shes a local cop dude... comes home a few times a year
26 huh? I find that hard to believe lol
Hey... I was in the 5th Cavalry!
He can't be dead. I'm 26. I can't be a widow. I don't know what to do.
A woman like her will be just fine.
One man in the grave and the next man goes to jail!!! 💯💯💯
Welcome NYPD...Thanks Oscar
Can't even play video games yet what the hell am I going to do with it
That is a big 8 week old
"What he did to Maria"? What did he do? She didn't mind the baby. Apparently, Maria didn't mind "what he did to her" .
From reading other comments, it seems what he did was bully her into a surrogacy agreement and then threaten to deport both her and the boyfriend when she tried to back out, the main point being that Maria wanted to keep the baby and that's why her boyfriend killed her boss.
Good bosses?
Every Friday after school I hung out in mum's bosses office at the bosses desk and coloured in, whilst he leaned against the wall as if he was sitting on a chair and went over the books with mum. Boss only sat at his desk for meetings the chair was never adjusted for him, he was adhd couldn't sit still and did stretches whilst reading nowadays we would say he was on the spectrum.
A secret cash horse
Briscoe: Miguel, Maria we have the DNA results, Miguel ... you are not the father !!!
Miguel begins to dance while Maria runs to the nearest sofa, lies down on it and begins to cry
XD
As soon as I saw him I was like that baby white Miguel and Maria are not having no white baby
Obviously he didn’t do it
was it him or the wife?? cause i still don’t trust the wife!!
It was him. The whole episode makes you think the wife was guilty but in the end you learn she was just the victim, she married for love and she has 3 miscarriages prior. Hence the need for a surrogate.
John cody
blessed be the fruit
" I'm 26, how can I be a widow?". Is that a multiple choice question?🙄
He didn't get killed because people loved him.🤔
Shes 26??
I was wondering why there was only a few comments turns out I was just early 😂😂
0:49 Get married again (but this time to someone closer in age).
The detectives in this one jumped tp conclusions. I am African and some of my siblings, cousins and uncles including myself have blue eyes, some lighter than others. Some say it might be a genetic abnormality, others say it's a deficiency. I don't know. One thing I know is that I can't stand the sun, I don't like that dude. He's rude.
It's not common. It's very uncommon for two black (not mixed) people or two ethnic Hispanics have that recessive gene so he was right.
@@elisejackson2854it is common because black people have the eve gene, maybe not as common as brown but still possible.
3, minutes in and Tempe ice killed her fashoo
Aren't they all? :)
So, did he actually do it? Or was it the "non-emotional" wife?
So the wife of the victim is behind the whole thing, Maria was suppsoed to be a surrogate for her and her husband but maria's husband didnt know...all because the wife didnt want stretch marks, morning sickness..you know a hyper-karen type who thought she was too good for all that.
I don't think it's right that they told the mother that Jose wasn't Miguel's. Sure, she knows it's unlikely, but denial is sometimes a good thing. She's not a victim or a suspect. She should have been left out of it. Simple question, do you know where Miguel is? We have a warrant for this arrest. No need to do that.
I understand why they lie and even how they get away with it and especially why the husband reacts how he does. but I dont get why they do it with murder. sure it all lines up but I dont think its enough. just because the reason is there you cannot prove the husband did it. I have plenty of reason to fight people but if they get beat up even if it was risking my family I wouldn't go down for a crime I didn't commit. (different scenario but same principals) and I would hope the actual bully gets caught
*the father is the one raising and loving the child as their own whether they got the mother pregnant or not. Period.*
Captain joe west
Miguel did nothing wrong
Did they do a dna test without consent?
The DNA was on his shirt. The DNA got on his shirt when she consented that he hold the baby.
Let's check the bill of rights for freedom of speech
This one had a terrible ending. The murderer gets off easy, an innocent baby gets kidnapped by the murderer's gf, and the wife who was mistreating the first two gets off scot free. Ugh.
She's 26 years old 😮😮😮probably She's the killer
i always find it annoying in cop shows when they find a body and valuables werent stolen by the perpetrator. wouldnt it make more sense to take the victims cash and watch so it looks like a robbery?
I mean, maybe, but you're assuming all perpetrators are clever enough to try to make it look like a robbery. In real life, valuables aren't always stolen, either, and also, if you steal from them, you have to find a way to dispose of their valuables. If you keep them, they clearly prove you're the killer, if you sell them, someone will have witnessed you with them, and if you throw them away, and they're recovered, then it's obvious whoever the killer was just wanted it to look like a robbery.
They’re forgetting that all babies have blue eyes at birth but then their eyes change a few weeks or months after birth.
@@blacklove2497 Neither did I. This dude is thinking of kittens or something lol
I did not have blue or my sister but green eyes and they stayed green. and I seen a lot of babies born with dark or brown eyes,
