05:40 Dancing demonstration starts; the last lesson in the the Riga Tango Fiesta.
Adjustment of the figures to the space. Advanced level. During Riga Tango Fiesta in 2014-05-01 .. 2014-05-04 www.rigatangofiesta.lv (Spīķeru iela 5, Riga, Sporta centrs Kumite, 2nd floor)
00:00-01:10 Roxanna is answering to the question: "What is the most important to train". She says it is different for everybody. You have to work and take that piece that you struggle most and improve it. It is not possible to learn everything (don't try to assimilate everything) from the classes. Concentrate on one thing that is important for your (posture, axis, heavy legs, stepping, timing). Taking classes gives oppurtunity to change point of view; the steps are not that important. The quality of the movement is much more important than the quantity. If we struggle with movements, we have to listen our partner and work it out slowly. 01:10 For example OCHO. We all know how to do an ocho. The mechanics that are happening in the body is something that others won't see but which you will feel if you have problems. 01:30 "If I'm falling, it doesn't matter how much [I embrace my leg in boleo] .... it's never going to be nice. Improving one's concience about axis, dissociation and embrace are the keys [for good dancing]"
02:10 Question from the crowd "Problem in milongs...in lessons it's quite easy". Sebastian understands and answers that you actually need to attend to two "schools". Your need private practice sessions and a place to learn to apply and fine tune your moves; in milongas and crowded space. 02:53 Practice hard in your own time, do not go to practice in milonga any steps that you haven't mastered yet. Roxanna continues that in the milonga there is so much going on that you don't have the time to think about the steps because you need to listen, feel the music and watch people around you. If you practice 1h at a time then after 100 hours your body knows your axis and you don't have to think about it any more. "We're not going to be [experts?] after 1.5 hours of class here" Practice, practice, practice.
04:10 Question from the crowd: "After lot of hours working, which point do you consider to be the most important to focus on: posture, walking etc?" Sebastian explains that everything is important. Each part. He wants to emphasize that one should not forget the upper body, to lead. It's much more important than the legs. Always lead the movement before you do it. In the end, it's up to you what you need to focus on to improve your skills. If you feel comfortable about your axis, work on other areas.

"One shade the more, one ray the less / Had half impaired the nameless grace / Which waves in every raven tress / and lightens her steps in each tight space." - by Lord Byron, for Roxana. What is the melody / song they dance on?

Renato Vieira Barreto It's a little difficult to find information about any artist and their tours. Sebastian's and Roxanna's web pages seem to be dormant (not up to date), so the only possibility is to get a Facebook account and start following their status updates. See facebook.com/sebastian.achaval.12 and facebook.com/roxana.suarez.315 -- Some of the the 2015 Tour information can be found from post facebook.com/sebastian.achaval.12/posts/10152699299216345

What an ungrateful audience! Unbelievable considering how impressive the demo was.

H0rsefish On the contrary. We were at awe, and to watch in silence is the most profound compliment there is.

H0rsefish ...about the sitting people all over. If you ever had taken classes it's utmost important to sit whenever you can so save your precious tools, your feet, in order to use them effectively for practise (and save for later evening milonga). Maybe people in their 20's - 30's can endure long sessions, but having 9 cm high heels for hours ... good for you if you are a trained dance instructor or ballerina but for rest of the mortals ...
