How Do They Make it To Those Waves? Skimboarding Tricks

- Sometimes everything comes together just the way we want it to. That is what happened on this very lucky day at Aliso Beach. Skimboarder featured in this video include @johnnywebergrills @brandon_c_sear @johnnysalta . To help the skimboarders reach the waves we were using a motorized pulley system called a winch. The winch we are using is made by @motowinch and is powered by a lithium battery. It is my new favorite toy to skimboard with! Thank you Motowinch for fueling the fun we had in this video.

How do you anchor the bungee in properly? Seems like you've got something different, but I feel like pulling back on the cord would eventually rip it out of the sand if you're putting that much force on it

Hey blair i got a skimboard the other day and it said Nolan on the bottom do you know what it means like is it a custom board or like did a sertent bilder make it
I think it means that’s the designer or builder of the board. Probably a pro skimboarder that designed it.
Im not so sure. I dont know a Nolan who shapes or rides skimboards

It took a lot of practice! It is not easy
Been practicing for almost a year now.. and still ride like sh*t haha but my first board is a 46 fibreglass, I just got the carbon fibre 52 board a month ago.
WanderingBisdak yeah I’ve been on the go for 3 years now with a 52 fibre glass but in the UK you only get 4 months of good skim and with the whole COVID-19 lockdown beaches have only just opened up and cut my skim time in half for this year

i wanna get a carbon fiber board extremely bad but my mother doesn’t have enough to get me one i am currently trying to get ways to make money to buy one your videos inspire me to want to get into the water and use my current skim even though it makes it harder than it needs to be atleast if i get a good skim it’ll make it that much easier

are zap boards just as good as exile? i bought one but maybe since i’m new to skimboarding i’m not very good
Zap Wedge is the most popular and works well. Zap is really good though. I have a zap wedge and it is good for small to medium waves. I haven't tried big waves but it would probably do good.
Zap is good they used to be really on top of there game .my friend is pro and rides for them
