Some very nice upgrades on the GoldenEar speaker. Can't wait to see and hear what they do with the remainder of the GoldenEar line.
i think their perforated grille is a good look and a nice upgrade over some of their older models visually

I love my GoldenEar Triton 2's!
Have Def Tec from 2012, frame my 120” screen. Sounds good for movies. Had to replace a circuit board but CS talked me thru it. Plenty of bass for me.

I have the Sandy Gross-designed Definitive Technology Mythos STs tower speakers that I use to this day, and If you feed them high quality tube power they can sound very good indeed Love that they have powered subs that go down to 20 hz
Those T66s seem more like the Triton 2+’s
I have a pair and love them.
Goldenear and Legacy are the only brands that seemed to have always used the AMT tweeters. I was always curious as to how they sounded. Goldenear and Def Tech always confused me, until I knew about the history, which I figured had to be the case since they are way too similar.
Any updates on this? Curious to hear your thoughts

Not really, have to run full range to get the most out of it. It’s nice if you don’t have a dedicated subwoofer. Curious how Atmos sounds, Dobly recommends direct speakers.
Where is the T66 review?

just heard the t66 compared to the triton 2 plus. not a HUGE difference. triton 2 plus is more worth it. i also got a second pair of t2plus for 2799 holiday price. the t66 also has imo snake oil audio-quest cabling.
Goldenear is owned by Audioquest. Your tritons will have AQ in them as well. Just saying.
I would never buy def tech products again. Terrible customer service!!
