From what I’ve gathered it seems to be the plan at the moment; 6 cours each 12 episodes from a leak but it is not set in stone just yet, however season 2 was officially announced already.
3 seasons and 6 cours I think I think this is just what is planned. I'm not sure if it is greenlit yet. I'm pretty sure it will be a challenge since this is likely a cooperative effort between korean and japanese studios. There will be extra layers of red tape.
6 Seasons? We are already like a 1/5th of the way through the series, how much filler are they adding? They are completing this show in 48 episodes at this rate. XD
The "poetry" from the System was basically describing Jinwoo's journey until now. Surviving despite all odds, killing not only monsters but humans, fighting to get stronger. And Igris is a fan favorite for a very good reason...
okay, idk if this answers your question at 20:00 but, the ability "Shadow Extraction" that jin-woo uses to 'revive' the 'slain' soldiers into his own, doesn't require mana to use. his mana doesn't drain passively as well when the soldiers are out either, and only drains when the soldiers take damage. this is because jin-woo's mana would be used as a kind of health bar for his soldiers, so when his soldiers take damage, their wounds would automatically heal and consume his mana as compensation. if jin-woo is close to having ran out of mana, he would likely store his shadow soldiers using his "Shadow Storage" skill, to have them return to his shadow to 'save' them and prevent them from being permanantly lost due to their wounds not being able to heal if he's out of mana. as for your question about the knights being people, it's said in the manhwa that "Shadow Extraction" is used by extracting the mana from the 'thing' it's used from in order to create a shadow body of itself. this means that it can't be used on targets that didn't produce mana from their bodies when they were 'alive', such as a human who hasn't awakened into a hunter and has no mana at all. hope this helped, so sorry for the long paragraphh!
⚠️SPOILER ALERT‼️I agree with the most part but what you said at the end, about him not being able to revive normal humans because they don’t got any mana to begin with. While it may be logical, but it’s still cap. ‘Cause when Jinwoo became a detective in the special chapters of the Manhwa, he revived a normal girl in order to find out about her murder. He revived her from just a drop of her blood, even though she was just a normal human in her lifetime. And she could talk, which is crazy because only high level Shadows are capable of conversing with Jinwoo. It may have been because Jinwoo had become the true Monarch by then, I don’t know…
Jeju Island is an S class dungeon break. The only reason it was not such a big problem is because it was isolated from the rest of S Korea. Ants having wings change everything.
As cool as that knight plot would have been, the longer time you take to extract the less likely it works. Plus, the dungeon disappears after he leaves, he couldn't go back even if he wanted to.
As a manhwa reader who was waiting for this moment since episode one i was screaming jumping and clapping the whole episode that was peak the did justice to everything and its only the start can't wait for more solo leveling 🔥
20:04 currently, he can extract 30 Shadows but only store 20 of them. As he levels up, that limit is gonna go on increasing. Actually how the Shadow Extraction works is that he takes the mana imprints of creatures from their previous life and calls it forth from the Valley of Death. While he may not need to continuously expend mana to maintain those soldiers, they definitely need his mana to regenerate and restore if they get destroyed. So, in a nutshell, he’s got himself an indestructible and immortal army, so long as he has enough mana to spare
When they mentioned mana, they were talking about how he takes the targets mana to make the shadow soldiers. And no, the amount he takes has no baring on how strong they end up being. Your mana is stronger the stronger you were in life, hence why stronger targets make stronger soldiers, they have stronger mana.
The Shadows are literally what the System says. They are “Ghosts” of the fallen soldiers the Player kills. The knight themselves have no personality as they were summons (except Igris Ofc) but later down the line you will see shadows with more personality.
As soon as the anime was announced I knew this was where the first season would end. It’s the perfect “prologue” more or less. Super stoked for the rest of it
@@manishmohite2393 no, it's just that it's an inside joke from the community because of how much Igris helped jin woo throughout the series from now on. from battling to helping him doing his homework, truly best-girl material
Was just thinking to myself, damn...Jinwoo's just gonna get hotter! 16:28, that squeal said it all 😂 Right with you Larah, I'm simping for a suit of armour too, glad he kept the red plume...but the knights do look awesome in that colour scheme...
Classes are like specializations. It doesn't fuck up what he already has but they funnel him towards something else from that point onwards. Necro is literally the opposite of his current fighting style.
Its really refreshing to see what the story is telling you and you follow with such Competency I would love to read something you have written given your ability to understand troupes and themes.
The shadows are free to create and maintain summoned (or stored in his shadow which is what Shadow Storage does). They only cost mana to regenerate when they are damaged or killed, which means that if he sends Igris after something and it rips his head off, Jinwoo has to use a bit of mana to respawn him. The limit is currently 30 max, 20 of which can be stored at once. Shadows in storage still count against the maximum. Stronger souls don't take up more space, there's just a higher chance of Shadow Extraction failing when he tries to claim them. And those knights were more like a rough sketch of a person than actual people, just a summon, Igris was a person though and a large number of the others Jinwoo will eventually claim are also people. They don't come out exactly the same as when they were alive, but they're usually somewhat close.
You might have missed this part, but he can level up his shadows too. So Igris CAN and most likely WILL get stronger with his Shadow Monarch. The summons don't take mana to maintain unless his soldiers take damage. Also, he didn't lose any of his previous skills (stealth, Ruler's Hand, Murderous Intent) or attributes (Strength, Agility, etc). So he's still able to fight the way he wants, but now he has an army to help him solo dungeons and "other places". It's insanely OP because as Jinwoo mentions, he's already super strong, but now he's got an army he can level up too. Also...shadow extraction works on human beings too. So, anyone he kills, he can potentially make into a shadow. I assume his army limit goes up the higher his level goes.
Thats actually True Igris dose have a mind of his Own. And his own thoughts. I dont know if they will go over that part. Maybe Maybe not wont know till it happens.
0 mana to have the shadows arise but can only hold a limited amount like 20 or so for now. If they are "killed" while fighting the shadows respawn/regenerate and it then eats from the mana pool
Foreshadowing, eh? Hahaha, this season was a banger! Loved the adaptation, the voice acting, the animation! Really well done to everyone involved in the production!
now we kick off jinwoos journey to becoming a 1 man army. its funny cus from this point on, our minds are just thinking about killing and arising everything
It’s actually crazy that every single person who reacted to this episode knew beforehand that the command word was gonna be “ARISE”…. I get that it was the title of the episode, but, boy was the hype real or what?!!
I think you'll like all of Jinwoo's crew. Even the weaker summons have their moments of fun and even cute (I hope the anime keeps those moments). Their mix of personalities (all retained into death) are one of the things I loved in the manga. Too bad my favorite summon won't likely appear a looooong time from now. That summon just barely won out over Igris.
This Shadow army is made of mana. When something dies, he can try to bring ir back spending his own mana. Then if one of them recives damage, they can regenerate as long as he have mana.
Random Thoughts: It feels like he became a combination of Toji and Megumi from JJK. Physical strength and the ability to summon things are most likely similar to them.
If he runs out of mana, his Summons can't be healed anymore in battle. And also his total Manapool defines how many shadows he can hold on to. The plot idea with coming back later to Igris is nice... There is only some limitations to his ability to arise the shadows - more would be a spoiler I don't dare to say to an anime only. :) His shadows were real people at some point in time - more details would be a to big spoiler so can't say more about that :D
Necromancy requires mana. The revived beings drain your mana when they fight and die. So when you run out you can no longer summon them. Your last question would be a spoiler lol.
The question about whether the souls come from another plain or this one… that’s a huge spoiler… so I’m not going to answer that one… But the question about mana to sustain his shadow army… yes, it does take mana.
For further info that anime onlys might want to know about Jinwoo necromancer abilites: Shadow extraction allows him to create a shadow of a dead being using mana BUT creating this shadows doesn't consume mana what does consume mana is regenarating them, as long as Jiwnoo still has mana his shadows will just keep regenerating until he has no more, and yeah as you can imagine if Jinwoo doesn't invest on his intelligence more this ability will drain his mana dry in seconds, keep in mind that at this moment he can only create 30 shadows. Shadow storage let's him keep shadows inside his own so he can use them later at any time BUT he can only save 20 that's why he called back 11 infantry soldiers because he needed 1 space to save Igris
