Great video y’all! Loved it. Johnny Cash is one of my favorite artists, and Home Free is amazing as well. Adam Chance is an amazing singer in his own right, and you two have excellent Harmony. I’d love to see you continue to collaborate with Home Free on other songs. Maybe a Peter Paul and Mary cover featuring Tim.

Have to start by saying I personally love the original by Nine Inch Nails, because of the emotion in the vocals. When Johnny Cash covered it he added his emotional touch that made me feel his pain. Now we have this cover which added a new haunting sound by the harmony provided by the three of you. Somehow you managed to find the ability to take the emotion from the first two and added your emotion and the end result is one of the best covers ever. Thank you for reminding me why this is my favorite song.
I couldn't agree more. I didn't know the Nine Inch Nail version until after Johnny Cash did his version, but definitely felt the emotion in Johnny's cover, and this cover has such a haunting sound that it makes it even better.

An Amazing cover of a cover, and that's a hard one to tackle. I mean Johnny Cash owned it after he put his mark on it, you guys did an amazing job matching the feel and still adding your beautiful harmonies to a song that just feels raw and emotional. Great job! loving it.

Ok I met Johnny Cash when I was a kid, I grew up watching his TV show and I Loved his version of this, having said that I Know you all just made him Proud of you ! Great/Fantastic/Unforgettable/ Performance ! I'm going to go cry in the corner now. Much Love to you all for this one.

I have been a fan of The Hound + The Fox for awhile..how am just finding out about Adam Chance!! Saw his video of Oo-De-Lally yesterday and can't stop searching his videos and collaborations. The voice of a storyteller! This is a lovely collaboration!

As I've said before (on patreon)…
I was cautious in my optimism when you first announced this, because Johnny Cash's version was so deep and meaningful, with his experience behind it. (And yes, for others reading, I know it's originally a NIN/Trent Reznor song.)
But when I heard the first audio clip, and especially when I saw the full video, my hesitation disappeared. This is an incredible cover, all its own. The harmonies really make it special and separate it from Johnny's version. The building instruments and voices in the last third are especially powerful.

As always and on every platform you support us on, thank you so much Dan! To be honest, we had our own very high standards of this song that we were hoping our version would live up to. The original NIN version is haunting and unsettling, and the Cash version is raw and heartbreaking, so to try and pull from all that while still infusing our own personal emotions and experiences was a challenge. But like you, once we built out the arrangement and brought Adam's voice into the fold, we were filled with nothing but excitement and thankfulness. Cheers to you friend for your wonderful support and love ❤️

You guys are just amazing. Some singer's when thay do a cover of a song more time then not the song is a shadow of the former work that thay are copying but for this great work you really do justice to this powerful song .

Wow. Never thought anybody could cover that aside from the great Johnny Cash. I was scared to listen to it because I didn't want to not like it, but it was really outstanding.
This is one of my all time favorite Johnny Cash songs. And you know how wwhen you really love a song, it's hard to listen to someone else singing it.
