So he wanted to go out with one of the biggest shounen bangs in recents memory. And in reality this was about loss as lucy lost aqaurius, erza her dignity, wendy and natsu and the Dragonslayers and grey their parents. And you wanna know something? The Voice actors of Natsu and Lucy sing this opening so it wasnt about erza at all it was about loss and what they thought was really important to them. And them realizing that it wasn't that important which is why this arc is considered the best
