It all started with a phone call from his mother in July 2016, delivering the heartbreaking news of his father's passing. Abdullah's father had immigrated to America from Kumasi, Ghana, with dreams of providing a better life for his family. A man of integrity and strength, he instilled in Abdullah the values of love, care, and perseverance. Despite being raised in a Christian household, Abdullah's journey to Islam was sparked by encounters with Sunni Muslim brothers who introduced him to the pure monotheism of Islam. Dear revert brother/sister in Imaan, I am very glad that you have recognised the truth God has revealed in the Quran and couldn't resist Islam.
I am your brother all the way from India.
I am a revert Muslim too. I hope and pray my advice helps you in your journey with God, and to God.
I would like to advise you to take your deen primarily from the Quran and become more Quran-centric in your understanding of Islam. While you may need to turn to Hadith to fulfill the obligations set by Allah such as Salah (Daily prayers), fasting, Hajj, charity, and moral goodness but not rely on it blindly when it tries to push Arabian culture as Islam, create a narrow sectarian mindset, and tries to demonise the character of the nobleProphet (Pbuh) or when it clearly contradicts the Quran in at least 20 different matters.
Therefore, for believers of sound intellect who like to think deeply and not not get swayed by emotional sectarian rhetoric about the Prophet (Pbuh) and follow the clergy obsessed cults blindly (I did that for over a decade before becoming obsessed with the Quran for all answers and direction), there are many aspects of Hadiths which appear quite spurious and even in direct contradiction with the Quran.
You need to be particularly careful when certain stories found in the Hadith collection (compiled more than 200 years after the Prophet but considered very holy and unquestionable by sectarian clergy ulema), portray the Prophet’s (pbuh) noble character in very poor light. I would advise you to not believe everything blindly because Muslims make you believe in those spurious stories with a lot of zeal, which they have been made to believe through years of institutionalised sectarian indoctrination.
I would advise you to exercise caution when exploring the Hadith canon. But the Quran being God’s final revelation is fully protected from human corruption.
However, while the other secondary sources of Islamic knowledge may contain some prophetic truth within it, but do not believe everything which Muslims have been made to believe through these books saying certain books are as pure and reliable as the Quran.
Do bear in mind that Muslims are good people and are very sincere in what they believe about the Hadiths. So it's ok to avoid disagreements when it comes to issues which emerge from certain problematic Hadeeths.
Even early Islamic history seems highly distorted due to these man-made ‘holy’ books and this understanding of Islam by new Muslims does create many problems for the Muslim community around the world especially the trouble it creates for reverts with their own family and close friends can be avoided if you become more Quran centric and avoid argument over cultural and ethnic matters.
Hadeeth centric Islam isolates you from the wider world by making you change your culture and appear very foreign and alien like to the local people and creates many psychological barriers for people of faith from other religions to consider islam seriously because it tries to change EVERYTHING about you whereas the QURAN only expects you to fix your character and faith not your appearance or culture. None of the previous prophets tried to do this but hadeeth centric Islam does it and thinks this is what Allah has prescribed.
I pray Allah always guides you to HIS WAY, and not some sectarian way, made up by people after the Prophet left this world and that Allah keeps you protected from satanic deceptions in matters of faith. Ameen.
In my 15 years experience, most Muslims are very Hadith-centric and expect reverts to follow Islam which is predominantly from Hadeeths and not the Quran.
Most Muslims, even those who are actively practicing Islam, are only aware of the beautiful side of hadeeth corpus but are generally kept unaware of the problematic side so if if you blindly follow things which are not from the Quran, you may end up making all kinds of enemies for yourself especially your own family will find you very problematic. But it's not the case when you're more Quran centric in your understanding and practice of Islam.

God created man for eternal life. Being Agape Love and wanting Adam to desire His Presence, not force Himself upon Adam, He gave man the choice of life with Him OR life apart from Him by the choice of Tree of Life OR Tree of knowledge of good/ evil/ SELF/ Tree of death. But when Adam ate of the tree, he/ mankind got separated from the Source of Life , which brought into creation,sin suffering death and eternal separation, the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good/ evil. The wages of sin is death and nothing we do can return life back into us. That’s why Life Himself Jesus Christ veiled His Divinity in flesh to come as a man , not from mortal Adam of sin nature, to take OUR death upon Himself, destroy its power by His resurrection, to make us a new creation, born ofThe Spirit for righteousness unto eternal life

Muslims too believe and have faith that Jesus Christ is the one and only messiah and is the king. But but but....No offence to God or to Jesus, but there's no hope for salvation (at all) in Christianity except for believing in the following confusion rife with so many weird absurdities .. Think about each of these absurdities a little carefully.
-God is one but actually not one, but three in One, but actually not three but only one, but in three distinct persons (This illogical concept of God was never taught by Jesus, nor found in the entire bible but must be believed by forcefully ‘reading into’ ambiguous verses through a lot of intellectual and theological gymnastics, which only professional preachers (usually paid well and even fed well) can help you with, and ordinary believers can never ever fathom, they have to HAVE FAITH in this manmade "MYSTERY").
-God became his own son, yes, his own son, and remained as the Father while being the son.
-God committed suicide by allowing ordinary humans to brutalize him and kill him mercilessly.
- God died but did not die. He died but he is now Alive.
-God was sacrificed but the sacrifice came back and is now with God, as God, along with God. But there is ONLY ONE GOD.
- God has a God. (John 20:17).
- God never says God is three spirits, Jesus never says God is three persons, Jesus never says God is a Trinity. Only preachers and pastors say it.
-God prays to another God, which is the same God, who is praying to himself, the one who created him (God). (Matt 26:39).
- God does not know about the Day of Judgment, and only the other one knows, while they are both one and the same God (Mathew 24.36).
- One God (Jesus) declares only God is God, and he himself confirms (Jesus) was sent by God (John 17.3), while they both are one and the same.
- God is UNSURE about his own future - ‘if I am lifted up from the earth’ (John 12.32)
- God cannot do anything on his own. (John 5:30).
- God runs from his enemies. (John 8:59).
- God himself has no independent authority and all authority was given to God (Mathew 28.18).
- God was made lower than the Angels (Hebrews 2.9)
- God is hungry and thirsty. (Mark 11:12)
- God cries to God and God questions God as to why God was forsaken by God (Mark 15:34).
- God is also God's servant (Acts 3.26)
- God is also God's lamb (John 1.29)
- One more unbelievably interesting fact - God is seated at the right hand of God (Luke 22.69), but there is only one God 😇😉...
- And only if you believe in all this about God's true nature, not by logic but by ‘FAITH’ - God will send you to heaven to live happily forever and ever... Otherwise you will have to burn in hell forever. BECAUSE GOD LOVES YOU.🙂😁 This is God's love. This is God's Justice. This is God's Salvation. 🙂😁

Shed the bias and prejudice and read the Quran with an open soul, praying sincerely for God to guide your soul. But do not believe everything Muslim say about Prophet Muhammad based on man-made books (hadiths) which were written more than 250 years after the Prophet of God left this world.

umm, that is not an Arabic religion. Arabs are lucky just is the sense that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was from them. However, there are many Prophets from other nations as well. And Islam has given freedom of religion. Anyone can follow whatever they want
We can’t control people’s hearts. If they find peace somewhere else, it’s their choice. Those people usually revert for monetary benefits though. Because other religions can’t offer anything better
