The Walls of Jerusalem are located in a remote area of the Tasmanian highlands and are part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. The area is a spectacular labyrinth of alpine lakes and tarns, dolerite peaks, ancient but fragile forests of Pencil Pines and unique alpine vegetation.

Very nice video . I rather visit Walls of Jerusalem than Cradle Mountain . Thank you so much
Hey guys, sorry we haven't been able to visit you for a while we have been busy moving house. But great to catch up with you again. Hope you get to get out soon, and bring more new content as we love them. Stay safe and catch up again real soon.
Thank you so much for the walk! And it's a great video. It gives us a clear idea about Jerusalem in Israel.
That was awesome good to see you two together
Thanks mate 😊
Awesome Vid. 'Sleet' is what that dumpy snow is called (rain + snow). It's Australia's poor excuse for 'snow' - Just FYI, but you probs know that by now. And love the improvisation for the rain jacket. Good job.
Thanks mate!
Lol unprepared! RIP...literally!
Hahah it was pretty much fully ripped by the bottom 😂
Hey man, is this with the Leica 10-25 1.7?
Nope, with the summilux 12mm f1.4 and 12-60mm f2.8-4 =)
Super video Ryan. How do you find bringing a gimbal with you on hikes? Is it a lot of trouble to keep balanced?
Thanks mate! I basically balance it once at the start of the hike, and then it's good to go for the whole day. Although this one is the crane v2, it's pretty old and the axes dont lock so it can be tricky to just hold while you're hiking. I'm actually upgrading to the Ronin SC soon, partly because of the ability to lock the aces which will make hiking with it much easier.
@@itsryanwilkes Thanks!! And I assume you use the same lens on it for the duration of the hike? I'm not into vlogging but buttery smooth footage on hikes is right up my alley! I have a Gopro Hero 7 Black on a selfie stick too so not sure I even need a gimbal!
Agreed man! The hero 7 is fantastic and with a bit of warp stabilizer in post it will look like a gimbal was used. And yep I usually just keep my 12-35mm f2.8 on for the whole day!
Hey bud ,
Lovely video , I wanted to know where did you encounter the snow fall ?Is it a common thing in tasmania ? Which months did youll travel at ?
Hey mate, we actually got quite lucky because we went in march. But if you go in June/July August you are much more likely to see snow around the mountains!
Where is part three Hobart?
Havent got around to editing it yet but it will be coming soon. Also Maria island!
welcome to tasmania 4 seasons in 1 lmfao bro ya showed fuck all really, did you even stay at the new huts there?
Nope, only had 7 days to cover as much of Tassie as possible, so only had one night in Walls of Jerusalem. I think we made the best of a 7 day whirlwind trip, but I know that we barely scratched the surface in terms of places to go on the island. I'll be back to spend a lot more time in the backcountry.
@@itsryanwilkes yeah 7 days barely gets anything done because your caught in the serenity, hit me up im due to do a few more soon just did cape huay yesterday and bivouac bay in 1 day
