I remember when I attended a Biblical College at the end of the first term we needed to write a paper on wether the Bible says we can lose our salvation. From what I could determine one could both lose or not lose their salvation. Within the text both were given equal representation. I determined the Bible doesn’t lean one way or another because either way requires faith. I got an F on my paper. I asked the professor why and he said it was a lesson in determining theology, not truth. This was how theology was created. Religious means to divide people of who worship the same God. I left the college shortly afterwards and since I have only trusted the most ancient original transcripts. Words matter and so do their meanings. Thank you for your insight.

Raised on the Bible, I was always questioning some of the things in Genesis & other places. I ALWAYS had a suspicion that if satan hates Holy God....the first place he would attack would be the Bible. I was always conflicted about how much to push the Bible to my son because the book was just too confusing even for me. So I taught my son the 10 Commandments and told him to focus on the words of Jesus, and tell people the same to this day. Jesus' appearance on earth & His teachings solves the moral dilemmas quite effectively.

I have long wondered about the plurality of the word Elohim. A Jewish friend insisted it was used in a singular way. Unfortunately there are not many people who take an interest in this with whom one can have a discussion.
It's not just your Jewish friend: every Hebrew speaker knows it's used as a singular, and even someone who has only a very basic knowledge of the language knows that. It's not an opinion, it's a fact, and has nothing to do with religious beliefs (in case you're wondering, I'm fiercely secular and atheist). In other words what you hear in this video is pure garbage.
@@thisutuber As ancient Jewish commentators said, Yhwh was talking to the heavenly host, a sort of royal council. Genesis doesn't make that explicit because at that time readers were already familiar with this imagery, but in other parts of the Bible it's much more detailed. It's especially clear in 1Kings 22:19-22 where there's a full scene with a dialogue between the "king" Yhwh and his court: "I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by Him on His right hand and on His left. And the Lord said, ‘Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead?’ And one said in this manner, and another said in that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ And the Lord said unto him, ‘Wherewith?’ And he said, ‘Iwill go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And He said, ‘Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also. Go forth, and do so.’ ". From this and other passages it's undeniable that the members of this council are heavenly beings (spirits, angels, cherubs,etc) but not elohim, therefore they are not Yhwh's peers but his subordinates. After all, there are innumerable verses throughout the Bible which exalt Yhwh's uniqueness, and he himself says on various occasions that there is no other god/elohim besides him.
A question to ask would be "Do the Elohim ever refer to a Powerful Being (God) that created them". So if the Elohim are a grouping of entities, they cannot be considered Gods since in our understanding there is only one God. They would therefore be demoted to "visitors" and by not being God, they would have the same finality or mortality as humans and the same fear of God himself. We would basically all be in the same boat of finite beings with all the apprehensions, doubts, fears, questions and limitations about God. Just because you can travel in flying machine, you can manipulate DNA, you can cause weather anomalies and so much more, this does not mean you are a God because man an do all of that today and we certainly are not God.
The true meaning of gods are higher being, from 4th, 5th,6th,7th density. From 4th onwards, individual merge into social memory complex/collective conciousness. Elohim is latter 6th density beings, a very high n powerful beings. Some says elyon is their leader. They took interest on earth, gathered 30 pithecanthropus erectus, upgraded their dna n conciousness, nurse n protect them in a large area called eden (middle east) for maybe thousand or million years until they reach homo sapien conciousness. This is what the scientist called the "missing link" (normally it would took significant longer time for a p.erectus to evolve to homo sapien if it was a 'normal' evolution). Then elohim put their faithful followers, the angels, to watchover and protect the decendants of those homo sapiens. Elohim truly love their 'children'. These are the israel people. As for caucasian people, their upgrader is the annunaki, since annunaki said to be very tall, fair skin and beautiful. While the african people might be the original version of an unmodified evolution. I have great respect n love toward elohim n the angels for their endless love and for not abandoning their children even up until today.

It is very simple to understand why "Elohim" which was originally plural, but, in the case ofThe Bible, it is "taken" (becomes) as singular. That is because the original tradition of The Canaanites, and the early Israelites was polytheistic, and "The Elohim" were individual gods and goddesses of The Canaanite pantheon. Stories about "El" the Chief of all the gods, and The Elohim ("The Powers")were handed down by word of mouth. Later, when the religious (and political) leaders of The Israelites wanted their people to worship one single god (who would become the protector of their land and people, they demanded (in a law) that The People would worship only this one god, who was even later, determined to be The One God, Creator of The World, and entire "Universe".
I am happy to know that the first encounter with Mauro in Italian videos when his work was first shown are now in various languages. Now everyone that is looking for the truth of what are the book we call bible have nothing of a sort of religion words. I love this exposition, this is something I have discovered for about 4 Years ago and I have argue on it severalty with Christains and many have made me enemy, because I said elohim is not God and even the word god is a vague term. That doesn't really convey any meaning idea. I would love to discuss with such open minds like these guys. There's a lot in the bible that have been wrongly interpreted, based on theological ideological sentiments. I would even say it would be better to use the word creator instead of god.

I was with a bit of a smile I was like" YES!!!!!!! " Because I was confused as shit!!!!! I hate confusion and I was just not interested in reading the bible. I read it here and there in a very poorly interest about it. I don't remember where in scriptures but there was one piece we're God is described as a loving God , full of love , and a couple other things he's described about: to where suddenly he's sounding a bit a terrible GOD. But here thanks to Paul and Mauro......I was like......what if I read GENESIS but already unscrambled.......it will be fascinating to read it like how it originally the BIBLE was once written or Al least close to restoration. I really think it will attract many to read the first chapters unscrambled of course.
This is pivotal work. It is very apparent from early languages that they were either syllabic or logographic and vowels did not exist. Plurality was an implication of written texts whereas spoken words would have inflections or implications. eg does “Dog attack!” imply one dog or multiple dogs ? Context is important. Also we live in an age of forensic linguistics where multiple languages and texts can be cross referenced relatively easily. Probabilistic models of words can refine meanings etc. I would love to see more research in this area.
I have to hand it to you. Your marketing plan to sell books is brilliant! Impress people with all of your scholarly credentials, then take a topic that most people are familiar with, (the Bible) and turn it on its head to raise enough curiosity so that people will buy your books to get the rest of the story. If I had not been studying the Bible myself (in depth) for over 50 years, including extensive studies of the Scriptures in Hebrew and Greek, I might have fallen for your cleverly devised marketing plan. It is amazing to me that all you have to do to sell people on the idea that what you are saying is the absolute truth is to present all of your credentials up front. Then you can say anything you want, and people will believe you. Make no mistake, you will be held accountable for the misinformation that you are spreading. All I can say is that I would not want to be in your shoes on Judgement Day. I am reminded of the Scripture that says, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” - 1 Timothy 6:10 - Enjoy the profits from the sale of your books for in the life to come you will have to answer to the LORD, God Almighty for writing them and thereby leading so many people astray.

You only study the Bible [and bible based things] so your understanding and wisdom are limited. The Bible says "In all thy getting, get an understanding." Gentile signora Russo, Mi spiace dissentire dai suoi toni entusiastici. Questi sono temi molto complessi, che richiedono tempo e rigore.. Nell’intera Bibbia il lemma Elohim ricorre più di 2600 volte. Da quanto ricordo (potrei sbagliarmi di poco) solo in 3 occasioni questo termine regge un verbo plurale (3 casi su oltre 2600)… Inoltre, in 6 occasioni il termine regge un “aggettivo” plurale (quindi non un verbo)…I casi (tutti poi da contestualizzare in base al contesto) sono quindi 9 su 2600…a lei le conclusioni… Il mio umile suggerimento è quello di consultare qualcosa di più sostanzioso e verificabile rispetto a video che di metodologico hanno poco….Mi riferisco a fonti e traduzioni (con un importante apparato di note in calce), così come le suggerisco di consultare i Commentari biblici…Serve rigore, le suggestioni non sono utili. Quello che sappiamo, con assoluta certezza, è che non corrispondono a ciò che la dottrina cattolica ci insegna. Oltre al lato pratico, vi è anche un problema di tipo grammaticale nelle traduzioni. Questo non vuol assolutamente escludere l'esistenza di un Dio creatore del " Tutto", ma non è nella dottrina cattolica che lo possiamo ritrovare. La Bibbia è senza ombra di dubbio un insieme di libri storici, ma che non parlano del tanto sospirato Dio, creatore di cieli e terra. Sostenere, invece, che la Bibbia parli di Dio, ciò che realmente è scritto entra in totale conflitto con ciò che ci viene da millenni insegnato.

I don't believe that Mauro Biglino argues anywhere that God isn't real? I think that both he and Paul Wallis are in agreement that there very definitely is a God, but that Yahweh, El, Eloah, and the Elohim are all references to something else.

In the U.S. there are a lot of Jewish people: tell your friends to ask one of them about the word "elohim", its meaning, and the singular/plural issue. They'll laugh at Biglino's gross incompetence.

@@matmiami7947 Biglino is an agnostic who hates religion, and I agree with that because religion has caused terrible things throughout history and still has a tragic influence on our society. But in order to pursue his goal, Biglino lies very often. His "mistakes" are actually lies because he studied Hebrew and the Bible, therefore he's aware that what he's saying has no basis whatsoever. Example: Elohim is singular more than 90% of the time, including the verses he mentioned. It's called intensive plural or abstract plural: it's a word with a plural form but a singular meaning. It occurs frequently all over the Bible, not just with "elohim". This kind of plural doesn't exist in English, Italian, or other European languages, but to give you an idea it's somewhat similar to the so called "royal we": in the past a King would use "we" when speaking of himself, not "I", even though he obviously was just one person. The reason is that the plural gave him more importance. Elohim is singular 90% of the time because it refers to a single god, Yahweh. The remaining 10% are references to pagan gods, i.e. the false idols of neighbouring peoples, so in those instances Elohim has a plural meaning.
If you look at books like Enoch and some of the other apocrypha you’ll notice that the watchers (angels assigned to watch over humanity) stepped in and put themselves in positions of leadership on the earth. This means that they would be seen as powerful ones (Elohim) yet they are not the Elohim that is referred to as YHWH in Hebrew scripture

We can prove this quite easily. In the Bible, the personal name YHWH appears approximately 7000 times. Most translations of the Bible routinely substitute YHWH with LORD throughout the entire OT. This is standard practice. Translators of the Hebrew MT, on which most translations are based, recognise the legitimacy of the Masoretic construct, “Adonai” (lit. Lords, plural) when substituting YHWH in the text. Therefore, it is important to note that, YHWH who is a singular person is referred to as “LORDS” plural. This demonstrates that the plural of majesty or majestic plural is quite legitimately assigned to YHWH in scripture. If YHWH is referred to routinely in scripture as LORDS plural, it holds true that the plural term Elohim can also be applied to him as a majestic plural. We can’t have it both ways. If YHWH can be referred to as “LORDS” then he can also be referred to as “Gods,” in recognition of his majesty. This does no violence to the Biblical text, context or theology whatsoever. Another example is that of Moses. In the Torah YHWH says to Moses that He will ‘make Moses as or like God (lit. Elohim in the Hebrew text) to Israel.’ So here, Moses who is clearly a singular individual is referred to as Elohim in the plural. If YHWH can refer to a man as Elohim (plural) then there is no impediment to the same term being applied to YHWH himself. The conversation between YHWH and Moses demonstrates that an individual can be referred to in the plural Elohim. The whole reason for referring to YHWH as “Gods” (Elohim) in scripture, is to set him apart from all the other elohim (gods) and assign him the majesty and honour he deserves.

I remember when I attended a Biblical College at the end of the first term we needed to write a paper on wether the Bible says we can lose our salvation. From what I could determine one could both lose or not lose their salvation. Within the text both were given equal representation. I determined the Bible doesn’t lean one way or another because either way requires faith. I got an F on my paper. I asked the professor why and he said it was a lesson in determining theology, not truth. This was how theology was created. Religious means to divide people of who worship the same God. I left the college shortly afterwards and since I have only trusted the most ancient original transcripts.

Raised on the Bible, I was always questioning some of the things in Genesis & other places. I ALWAYS had a suspicion that if satan hates Holy God....the first place he would attack would be the Bible. I was always conflicted about how much to push the Bible to my son because the book was just too confusing even for me. So I taught my son the 10 Commandments and told him to focus on the words of Jesus, and tell people the same to this day.
Jesus' appearance on earth & His teachings solves the moral dilemmas quite effectively.

I have long wondered about the plurality of the word Elohim. A Jewish friend insisted it was used in a singular way. Unfortunately there are not many people who take an interest in this with whom one can have a discussion.
It's not just your Jewish friend: every Hebrew speaker knows it's used as a singular, and even someone who has only a very basic knowledge of the language knows that. It's not an opinion, it's a fact, and has nothing to do with religious beliefs (in case you're wondering, I'm fiercely secular and atheist). In other words what you hear in this video is pure garbage.

@@thisutuber As ancient Jewish commentators said, Yhwh was talking to the heavenly host, a sort of royal council. Genesis doesn't make that explicit because at that time readers were already familiar with this imagery, but in other parts of the Bible it's much more detailed. It's especially clear in 1Kings 22:19-22 where there's a full scene with a dialogue between the "king" Yhwh and his court: "I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by Him on His right hand and on His left. And the Lord said, ‘Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead?’ And one said in this manner, and another said in that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ And the Lord said unto him, ‘Wherewith?’ And he said, ‘Iwill go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And He said, ‘Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also. Go forth, and do so.’ ". From this and other passages it's undeniable that the members of this council are heavenly beings (spirits, angels, cherubs,etc) but not elohim, therefore they are not Yhwh's peers but his subordinates. After all, there are innumerable verses throughout the Bible which exalt Yhwh's uniqueness, and he himself says on various occasions that there is no other god/elohim besides him.

A question to ask would be "Do the Elohim ever refer to a Powerful Being (God) that created them". So if the Elohim are a grouping of entities, they cannot be considered Gods since in our understanding there is only one God. They would therefore be demoted to "visitors" and by not being God, they would have the same finality or mortality as humans and the same fear of God himself. We would basically all be in the same boat of finite beings with all the apprehensions, doubts, fears, questions and limitations about God. Just because you can travel in flying machine, you can manipulate DNA, you can cause weather anomalies and so much more, this does not mean you are a God because man an do all of that today and we certainly are not God.
God Is only a human creation.
Our creators, the Elohim, were also created by other extraterrestrials. And their creators were also created by others, and so on, until infinity.

It is very simple to understand why "Elohim" which was originally plural, but, in the case ofThe Bible, it is "taken" (becomes) as singular. That is because the original tradition of The Canaanites, and the early Israelites was polytheistic, and "The Elohim" were individual gods and goddesses of The Canaanite pantheon. Stories about "El" the Chief of all the gods, and The Elohim ("The Powers")were handed down by word of mouth. Later, when the religious (and political) leaders of The Israelites wanted their people to worship one single god (who would become the protector of their land and people, they demanded (in a law) that The People would worship only this one god, who was even later, determined to be The One God, Creator of The World, and entire "Universe".
I am happy to know that the first encounter with Mauro in Italian videos when his work was first shown are now in various languages. Now everyone that is looking for the truth of what are the book we call bible have nothing of a sort of religion words. I love this exposition, this is something I have discovered for about 4 Years ago and I have argue on it severalty with Christains and many have made me enemy, because I said elohim is not God and even the word god is a vague term. That doesn't really convey any meaning idea. I would love to discuss with such open minds like these guys. There's a lot in the bible that have been wrongly interpreted, based on theological ideological sentiments. I would even say it would be better to use the word creator instead of god.

This is pivotal work. It is very apparent from early languages that they were either syllabic or logographic and vowels did not exist. Plurality was an implication of written texts whereas spoken words would have inflections or implications. eg does “Dog attack!” imply one dog or multiple dogs ? Context is important. Also we live in an age of forensic linguistics where multiple languages and texts can be cross referenced relatively easily. Probabilistic models of words can refine meanings etc. I would love to see more research in this area.

I have to hand it to you. Your marketing plan to sell books is brilliant! Impress people with all of your scholarly credentials, then take a topic that most people are familiar with, (the Bible) and turn it on its head to raise enough curiosity so that people will buy your books to get the rest of the story.
If I had not been studying the Bible myself (in depth) for over 50 years, including extensive studies of the Scriptures in Hebrew and Greek, I might have fallen for your cleverly devised marketing plan. It is amazing to me that all you have to do to sell people on the idea that what you are saying is the absolute truth is to present all of your credentials up front. Then you can say anything you want, and people will believe you.
Make no mistake, you will be held accountable for the misinformation that you are spreading. All I can say is that I would not want to be in your shoes on Judgement Day. I am reminded of the Scripture that says, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” - 1 Timothy 6:10 -
Enjoy the profits from the sale of your books for in the life to come you will have to answer to the LORD, God Almighty for writing them and thereby leading so many people astray.

You only study the Bible [and bible based things] so your understanding and wisdom are limited. The Bible says "In all thy getting, get an understanding." Nell’intera Bibbia il lemma Elohim ricorre più di 2600 volte.
Da quanto ricordo (potrei sbagliarmi di poco) solo in 3 occasioni questo termine regge un verbo plurale (3 casi su oltre 2600)…
Inoltre, in 6 occasioni il termine regge un “aggettivo” plurale (quindi non un verbo)…I casi (tutti poi da contestualizzare in base al contesto) sono quindi 9 su 2600…a lei le conclusioni…
Il mio umile suggerimento è quello di consultare qualcosa di più sostanzioso e verificabile rispetto a video che di metodologico hanno poco….Mi riferisco a fonti e traduzioni (con un importante apparato di note in calce), così come le suggerisco di consultare i Commentari biblici…Serve rigore, le suggestioni non sono utili.

@@matmiami7947 Biglino is an agnostic who hates religion, and I agree with that because religion has caused terrible things throughout history and still has a tragic influence on our society. But in order to pursue his goal, Biglino lies very often. His "mistakes" are actually lies because he studied Hebrew and the Bible, therefore he's aware that what he's saying has no basis whatsoever. Example: Elohim is singular more than 90% of the time, including the verses he mentioned. It's called intensive plural or abstract plural: it's a word with a plural form but a singular meaning. It occurs frequently all over the Bible, not just with "elohim". This kind of plural doesn't exist in English, Italian, or other European languages, but to give you an idea it's somewhat similar to the so called "royal we": in the past a King would use "we" when speaking of himself, not "I", even though he obviously was just one person. The reason is that the plural gave him more importance. Elohim is singular 90% of the time because it refers to a single god, Yahweh. The remaining 10% are references to pagan gods, i.e. the false idols of neighbouring peoples, so in those instances Elohim has a plural meaning.

Dr Michael Heiser is a good reference on the word Elohim.. you have to read in context, when Elohim makes humankind.. Elohim is in singular form
If you look at books like Enoch and some of the other apocrypha you’ll notice that the watchers (angels assigned to watch over humanity) stepped in and put themselves in positions of leadership on the earth. This means that they would be seen as powerful ones (Elohim) yet they are not the Elohim that is referred to as YHWH in Hebrew scripture
I'd love to hear further discussion about the archangels between Biglino and Wallis. I've watched some of the videos on Michael, but I'm particularly interested in what they think of the modern day channelings and invocation of these beings.

Hawaiian has Aloha, like Eloha. Aloha means (in one sense, to sparkle or shine, much like the shining ones, the Elohim). Hebrew has many cognates in modern languages that should not exist. For example, in Hebrew Kehunnah means priesthood. Strong's Hebrew 3550. In Hawaiian, Kahuna means priest. Qaran means horn in Hebrew, SH 7161-63, much like the Italian Corno, French Corne, and English Horn. Iy in Hebrew means island, much like English Is-land, where we don't pronounce the S and say Ay-land. SH 336. Chavran in Hebrew means Cavern, exactly like the English Cavern, Caverna in Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese, and Caverne in French. Esther means Star, cognate with English Star, Estrella in Spanish, and Stella in Italian (L often interchanges with R in spoken languages around the world). Derek means direction, or Derek-tion. SH 1870. "O" means Or, as in the Spanish O, French Ou, Portuguese Ou, and English Or (English has many non-rhotic speakers who have difficulty saying the sound R). Or, SH 215, means Gold, like Spanish Oro, Latin aurum, Portuguese Ouro. Acher, SH 312, means other, much like the English other. Achar means after, much like English after. SH 310. Ain, SH 369, means not, nought, nothing, much like the English "ain't. "And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was (AIN SH 369) not a man to till the ground." Genesis 2:5. Or translated with "ain't," "there ain't a man to till the ground." Hundreds more such cognates exist between the "ancient" Hebrew, which as Mauro Biglino says, basically got "revived in the late Middle Ages, and modern languages around the world. We all have learned a pack of lies. "Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." Genesis 11:7.

The plural form is talking about God Father , Son and Holy Spirit, Its 3 identity in one . This is Why the form of Elohim in plural makes sense. John 1 tell us the Yeshua (Jesus) was in the beggining and he became flesh when He came to die on the cross

First they start saying they don't really know true meaning of the word Elohim. Then they go on to tell you the meaning of the word Elohim. You can't make up this type of flawed logic. A single man can be represented as A Father, but can also be A Son, and also a husband. And in the form of Husband. God said he and his wife would become One. So how can you try and define God. The best description of God we have is Yeshua/Jesus. Who the Bible teaches that Jesus is also the Creator of all things. You can see in the Hebrew alphabet structure in Genesis.
God is not simply singular. He said to Moses I AM that I AM. In the first Book of Genesis. The first chp vs 26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness;
So how is this a contradiction or controversy.
Jesus said before Abraham was I AM.
Isaiah chp 42 vs 8) I am the Lord: that is my name;

The argument proposed here, that the term “elohim” must be understood as referring to a plurality of beings rather than an individual, is quite frankly, completely unsound.
We can prove this quite easily.
In the Bible, the personal name YHWH appears approximately 7000 times. Most translations of the Bible routinely substitute YHWH with LORD throughout the entire OT. This is standard practice.
Translators of the Hebrew MT, on which most translations are based, recognise the legitimacy of the Masoretic construct, “Adonai” (lit. Lords, plural) when substituting YHWH in the text. Therefore, it is important to note that, YHWH who is a singular person is referred to as “LORDS” plural. This demonstrates that the plural of majesty or majestic plural is quite legitimately assigned to YHWH in scripture.
If YHWH is referred to routinely in scripture as LORDS plural, it holds true that the plural term Elohim can also be applied to him as a majestic plural.
We can’t have it both ways. If YHWH can be referred to as “LORDS” then he can also be referred to as “Gods,” in recognition of his majesty. This does no violence to the Biblical text, context or theology whatsoever.
Another example is that of Moses. In the Torah YHWH says to Moses that He will ‘make Moses as or like God (lit. Elohim in the Hebrew text) to Israel.’ So here, Moses who is clearly a singular individual is referred to as Elohim in the plural. If YHWH can refer to a man as Elohim (plural) then there is no impediment to the same term being applied to YHWH himself. The conversation between YHWH and Moses demonstrates that an individual can be referred to in the plural Elohim.
The whole reason for referring to YHWH as “Gods” (Elohim) in scripture, is to set him apart from all the other elohim (gods) and assign him the majesty and honour he deserves.
