My high school is directly across the street from Martinelli's: the bottle of cider that you highlighted. Puro Watson!
I’m going to try the reverse searing technique today on my Christmas rib roast.
Hello from Miami. Seeing that snow again makes me happy.
Glad the video could bring you so happiness! 😊 I’m looking out my window right now and we have snow all over the ground ❄️
@@BaumGrillinzBBQ i already bought a 4 bone rib roast and I will be making your recipe but I will use the Kanka Grill I just bought and new MEATER thermometer. I am very excited about it.
I know you made this video two years ago but I am just seeing it now. This is a really cool video. Do another this Christmas!!
This was a fun video! It was cold that night though haha! Definitely need to do another one!!!
Well done video Mr. Baum,. 👍👍👍
That was Christmas prime rib done excellenta. Just perfect for me. Some like a little more rare but that's ok. Love all the little extra props e.g. grill tree ornament, tools hanging in tree, snow on grill, Christmas tree on set, dark back ground, champagne toast. All of that shows creativity going on in that Baumerizing Brain. Love that about your videos. In spite of freezing temps you produced a great video. Enjoyed
Greetings from México, this saturday I will use your video to make my prime rib, hope every thing goes well
You are going to enjoy that prime rib! It will turn out great I’m sure! Just keep an eye on the temperature and pull it out at your desired doneness! Thank you for the comment and for watching! Enjoy your cook!
Nice job!
Looks awesome, my wife and daughters got me a smokey mountain weber cooker smoker for Christmas. I will be definitely trying a Prime Rib.
What a great gift from the wife and daughter! You will love the Smokey mountain! I need one myself lol definitely do try a prime rib your family will enjoy it! Merry Christmas!
Amazing video. I used it over christmas. Worked great
Thank you! So glad it worked for you 😊
It looks so good. I know what I'm making for New years eve!
Really nice Cook Kenneth.
Loved the ornaments. Esp the little grill :)
Cool with the igrill mini. I have an igrill2 which i really think is great!
Looks so good...next year for Christmas I'll try this on my kettle too. This year did a ham out in 5 degree weather. Happy Holidays to you.
Baum Grillin'z Of course... only a matter of time before your channel really takes off. You do an awesome job!

Kenny P you are going to enjoy it! Merry Christmas! Thanks for watching 😊
@@BaumGrillinzBBQ 1 year later and guess what the family wants again on xmas.. you bet I'll be doing this again in a few hours.
Kenny P wow that’s impressive! It truly is an amazing Christmas dinner! Enjoy! And have a very Merry Christmas! 😊
Food wise... That is how you do that! Only problem I have is that your drinking sparking cider... Prime rib demands champagne!
Champagne? Nah. A good 18 yr single malt neat.
Nice prime rib!! Well done!! Love the Christmas tree utensil holder. Lol
well done like over cooked. lol
That’s a beautiful rib roast right there. I have yet to do prime rib roast on the Weber. Like the reverse sear method. Did you build your custom table?
This looks great! What are the seasoning measurements?
Looks great I am doing one one Christmas. How many hours total did it take? Merry Christmas!
Excellent! You are going to enjoy it! I don’t remember exactly how long.. it was really cold outside while I was doing it so it extended the cooking time. The best way to know it’s done is when the internal temp is at your desired doneness. (120- rare, 130- medium rare, 140- medium) make sure you plan accordingly! Especially if it’s cold outside! Thank you for watching!
Outstanding!!
Thank you!! I enjoyed the whole process!!
Don't mind me. Just totally stalking your channel (love this one)
I’m going to try for Christmas
That’s great! You will enjoy it! Merry Christmas!
Looks great, I did two roasts for Christmas, they were amazing as well...good job Bro
The Real JoeyB Dallas Fort Worth Texas USA utilizing the Traeger Timberline 1300
well done!!!
It looked more on the medium side to me. Lol
you are quite the loveable nincompoop. Tenting your roast in foil lol, may aswell cover it with snow to let it rest when its that cold out. haha. great recipe, love the full branches of rosemary. Looks beautiful with the smokey tinted masterpiece. Well done chef, nice production efforts aswell. quite the studio! Cheers.
Im confused about the reverse sear. Isn't it normally done at the beginning? I may have missed the explanation. Please advise. Thanks and merry Christmas!!
Reverse searing is just another method. I find that it works very well and produces a more even cook while keeping the meat nice and juicy! Definitely give it a try and see for yourself! You might be surprised! 😊
Looks really good but I have 2 questions. 1. Is your sound captured by the camera only, I’m thinking there’s a Zoom recorder in there some where but can’t see one. 2. You don’t say what temps your grill is at. Is the bottom wide open and temp controlled by the dome vent.
Sound was captured by camera with a Rode mic. Wow you are right I didn’t mention grill temp! The temperature would of been around 275-300 degrees. Always cook to the meat to temperature so times may vary. It was cold that night so it was a little more difficult to maintain temps, so I’m not sure as to where my bottom vent was. Just play with it and try to maintain that 275-300 temp 👍👍 Enjoy!
Baum Grillin'z ok I see the rode mic directly on camera. Thank for the reply
was that a marshmallow used to light the charcoal starter?
No it was a lighter cube from weber. You can buy them at your local store. They work great!
Love your video
Thank you so much! 😊
Do you let it rest a half hour befor the sear? Does it have to rest again after it is seared or do you carve it right after the sear?
Jake Balde we let it rest covered for 10 minutes, or however long it takes you to get the grill up to searing temperature. Once you sear the prime rib it is ready to be carved and enjoyed!
looks med to med well
Prime rib was beautiful. I G otta try one
It was delicious! You need to try one!! Thanks for watching! 😊
So how many hours did it actually take?
Simplement parfait !
What was the total time that it took?
It probably took close to 3 hours. Typically you can count on 30 minutes per pound 👍
@@BaumGrillinzBBQ I did one yesterday and had a little trial and error because I need a better thermometer. Thanks for the video and responding to my comment.
Definitely need a good thermometer! The next one will be perfect I’m sure! Thank you for watching!

I didn’t know Messi likes to cook
He does! And he loves ribs! He even stoped by during this video ua-cam.com/video/bLvz15jPCa4/v-deo.html haha!
Never done one on a grill. A little more done than I like otherwise good job.
It’s a great way! You should give it a try 👍👍
Ok Karen 🙄
Looks “Medium” instead of Med. Rare 🤷♂️
The camera sometimes has a hard time capturing true colors. It could of been closer to a medium though. It sure did taste good!
Where is the horse radish? Lol
I didn’t have any but would of used it if I had haha
looks too cooked for my liking but i'll still eat it
HBY probably could of been pulled sooner. I definitely do not regret eating it haha!
overcooked
Love how this his guy didn't explain anything except how to make his "crust." What a waste of time. Ahhh, how long did it take, what temp we're u shooting for in the kettle, was the reverse sear over the coals, what did I waste my time for.
Pretty sure I showed the kettle temp and internal temp of the meat.. the time it takes varies on a lot of things so I didn’t think that would benefit anyone, internal temperature is more important. Revere sear was not over coals but could be as long as you have bone in and down. Sorry for wasting your time.... but hope your prime rib turns out well! Thanks for watching Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!🎄🎁
@@BaumGrillinzBBQ it came out looking more medium than med rare. Would you pull it at a lower temp before searing next time?
Possibly. It did turn out the way I wanted it. Sometimes getting the video color to look accurate is a bit hard with lighting and all. But I think it turned out great! Keep in mind every cut of meat is a little different (fat content etc.) use your best judgement!
Over cooked my friend!
