- Aloha everyone! Kiholo Bay is a beautiful natural area on the North Kona coast of Hawai'i Island, also called The Big Island. Home to historic fishponds and now a rugged area with a few private homes, the access road is unmarked and off Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway (Hwy 19). It is the responsibility (Kuleana) of everyone to preserve and protect our wild places. If you visit, stay out of the freshwater ponds and fishponds, and leave the area better than you found it. I visit every year with my husband and we stay for at least two weeks. We try to do all our favorite fun things during each trip. I live in Oregon, which is also a lovely place and I’m originally from Hermosa Beach, California. I hope to move to Big Island full time. I love watching your content and living vicariously through your adventures and daily-life videos. You are living the dream that I aspire to. Although we do not spend much time in Pahoa while on our yearly visits to Big Island, I hope that our paths may cross in the future. Until then, keep up the great work! Is Kiholo bay where the Queen’s bath is located? Did you go in to it?
@@Nastaran.Battles aloha Nastaran! Yes, the queens bath is located along the path to Kiholo if you walk north along the shore line from the parking area located down the rugged dirt road. The queens bath is easy to miss because it’s rather hidden. No, out of respect for the land and locals, we do not go into the queens bath and would not recommend anyone to go in. Unless they’re kanaka maoli. 🤙🌴❤️
