This video convinced me NOT to cut my hair. Specifically the looking like everyone else. Long hair isn’t something ppl can just decide to do. It takes time and dedication. Someone sees me out and about they can’t be like “you know what I’m going to try long hair tomorrow”. Idk.. I just like the overall vibe I have with my hair. Thanks for the video

I cut my hair a year ago. Was almost waist length and had been growing it for about 8 years. Really enjoyed the change to short hair initially (especially the convenience) but now find myself more and more thinking about growing it out again

Same, I always had long hair and I cut it almost a month ago and it looks great! But recently I'm having a major personality crisis from it. I feel like a shell of a human and that I'll attract people I don't want to and worse vice versa.

I used to have long curly hair (like this old pic profile) because i wanna feel different. I try all the color of the rainbow on my short hair and i was truly happy during the 6 first month. It's been 8 months now and step by step i'm on my way to get my long hair back. The journey is fun btw !
Novelty of long hair is real. I think short is just more functional and you can keep living life in it's fullness. I have "long" and I find it more often annoying when actually doing things like biking/motorcycle helmets, eating, sports what ever. If you are in to arts, computers... or being just in style world without doing anything for real.. Then long hair is nice.

I agree with the sleep problem. I find that my head is way hotter with all this hair, (about 13”) and I miss that feeling of a shaved head. I was adamant about growing it out for the past 2 years. I’m donating my hair in February next year, time for a new change.
When I cut it a few months ago I didn’t regret it all and really enjoyed the new hairstyles I could try but now that I’m looking back at my pictures, I really want it back but I’m struggling with the fact that I’m going to have to wait through the dreaded awkward stage for so long. Kind of stuck with what I do with my hair now.
I did the same nearly a year ago after growing my hair out for a year and a half. The awkward phases are nothing now that I’ve already gone through it the first time I grew my hair out. Your comment was 7 months ago.. hopefully you’re growing it out

I've been growing my hair for about 3 and a half years now and like he said, I'm constantly thinking about cutting it off. Still I also think it fits me very well, kinda is part of my personality by now and looks very good most of the time...
But I also got the feeling of it damaging my hairline a bit and in some way I long for change - don't know what I'll do yet.
Probably gonna wait a bit and see how my thoughts about it develop...

Damn bro you described my exact situation , I had long hair for 2 and a half years and 3 weeks ago I cut it only because it was damaging my hairline but I noticed it damaging my hairline last year and still kept it long and tied it everyday for hours for them whole 2 and a half years , but bro I miss it loads man , I look good with short but with long hair it’s like a special thing bro I cannot explain , I am gutted but now I am saving money for the next 2-3 years so I can get a hair transplant and I’ll re grow my hair long but hopefully it all goes to plan lol , but sit on it bro and figure out what to do , all I know is I am on a mission to get hair transplant then illl grow it long again and feel that same feeling I swear it’s in my vision to do but good luck you know what’s best for you

I’ve been growing my hair for three years. I have it up in a ponytail. I gotta tell you I got way more checks with my military short hair look I don’t know. I’m stuck at a crossroads. I like the long hair. It gives me a bad ass look like warrior. Not sure what to do.
I actually miss how I had to move my hair from underneath my head before I slept.
But I cut my long hair, too. I did it because i had those thoughts of cutting it several times and I didn't like how I looked shirtless with my long hair. I might grow it again because I miss how long hair feels more than how it looks.
Last point: going from long hair to short hair is humbling. I think long hair boosted my ego, making me think I was better than other men who have short hair or are bald.

I’m cutting my hair off today. Been 2 1/2 years. It’s pretty long. I had a lot of fun but now it’s becoming too much a part of my life. I don’t want my hair to be my whole personality. Have fun guys don’t get too attached plus I’ve a very active lifestyle so it’s just insanely time-consuming to take care of it. I already know I will regret it. I’m regretting it before my appointment. That’s why I’m watching this video. But there are pros and cons to everything in life.

@@poloslim6448 if you’ve pictured yourself without the hair, you’ll go through a couple of times of missing it just do not let yourself fall into regret. Everything has its season. With short hair you could spend a few months growing it back and have a little bit longer hairstyle for me. I do a buzz cut every now and then when I want to feel good I’ll go and get a haircut at the barbershop, it’s awesome! It also helps you focus on other things to make yourself better instead of focusing so much energy on the hair! If it’s what you want it and don’t look back!
I've had my long hair for about 2 years and almost 5 months now(Shoulder length) and I've been heavily thinking about cutting it. It was nice for a while but now it's getting to the point to where it's just too damn frizzy/hard to maintain and take care of and plus it always gets into my face. I felt like I had a nice little emo look for a while but then when it started to grow longer it's just started to make me look like Lord Farquad or Jesus and now I just feel a bit self-conscious about it. Girls have told me that they like it but I think it may be that time to finally part ways.
I cut my long hair in march 2023 but only because I was losing hair , but i haven’t felt the same since :( I am getting my hair transplant winter time 2024 but I can’t wait to have my long hair again someday, now I am in dark times I care how I look more then anything and I don’t care how that sounds that’s just how I feel deep down , but yeah if you got long hair don’t cut it unless you feel you need to
I finally cut my shoulder length hair that was almost to the middle of my back about close to 2 weeks ago. The heat wasn't really a big factor as to why I cut it but it was more so of the fact that it kept getting into my face and tangling/frizzing and all of that jazz. It got to the point to where it was embarrassing for me of how unkempt it was and I was starting to wear a hat at work to cover it and then my bosses made up some rule saying I couldn't wear a hat anymore in the building. It got to the point to where I said F this and decided to finally cut it after 2 years and almost 5 months. I now have the sides trimmed down but not too short and my barber left some hair on the top as well and I can still do the parted look kind of like how those emo vocalists look in those metalcore bands. The day I came into work when I cut my hair everybody was shocked and I had compliments from coworkers and customers all week saying I was handsome and looked younger so I guess it all paid off in the end. No idea if ever I'll decide to grow it out that long again but that was a phase I'll never forget.
I just cut my hair 2 days ago. I had kinda keannu reeves shoulder lenght hair and now I have mid to short curtain cut and honestly I regret it. Even though it is more convenient a feel like it just is not my style . Maybe it will change after time but I doubt it . Well at least a can now grow them again stronger , thicker and in better condition in general since now I know how to care for them more

Sleep excuse is kinda wack, could have worn a bonnet or used a head wrap. That’s what I do and I wear a headband during exercise.

I was mildly traumatised when I cut my hair off so I’ve grown it back. I like short too but I can’t handle it psychologically at the moment. Which does sound weird
The same thing happened to my son. She, on the other hand, he wanted test short hair style when i show pictures of short boys hairstyles and I ask if you were sure. Now I, as a haircutter, am anxious because the boy in the middle of the cutting started to hesitate and regret and the hair can only be recovered by waiting. We had to interrupt the operation. Now have to finish it at the barbershop.
Exact same thing happened to me. I was a hardworking smart young man, then I cut my hair and had a phycological shift and I feel like I’ve gone insane.

@@MinionTomato1 my girlfriend doesn’t like my long hair after it reached a certain length but she does like it tied up in a man bun which I really don’t like but that’s an option. If you decide to cut it maybe just cut it medium length so if you hate it , won’t take as long to grow back. Check other factors if you are keeping in shape and stuff like that just incase it’s not your hair that’s the problem. I think you’ll find some women love long hair but most prefer it shorter.

@@haroldarceo5285 well, I haven’t cut it ever since. 4 weeks isn’t that long but I’ve also started my little facial hair grow rather than shaving every 2 days. I will do trims in between just so it doesn’t look like a mess. I think that’s what made me draw the line. The fact that it was too much thick hair on the sides and I never did anything about it. But it was nice. I’m doing it again tho.
